Alex felt the wave of healing magic wash over him, just as he heard the king's mumbled comment as he stroked one of Alex's feathered wings. He tried not to twitch, but he couldn't help but look down at the man in surprise.
".....th-thank you," he said, a tone of surprise in his voice. He sighed and looked out across the water, spreading the other pair a bit wider. Both pairs were white as snow, but the second pair was scaled like those of a dragon... or a demon.
"I've had them for as long as I can remember," he began in response to Alexander's earlier question. "Ever since I woke up in the old healer's hut two years ago, with no memory of who, or what, I am. Something inside of me told me that... I was human, but... with these wings, what can I be but a demon? I don't know what I am. Some of the soldiers in my unit who found out called me a Nerezzan creature, so I started hiding them, but what kind of demon of the dark has wings of pure white? I hate the darkness, it's been in my instincts since before I can remember, but I feel out of place in Santo-Luce as well... I've made it my home, but I don't belong. And then, I come here, and everything is so familiar, and I know too much... who and what am I, Majesty? I doubt... even you could tell me..."
He looked down at his own hands and clenched them into fists, gritting his teeth against tears. He had to be strong... he was a Captain, the highest honor there was.... the youngest captain in his country's history... the one who'd risen into position the fastest in a hundred years...

Alexander quietly listened to Alex's story and when finished, smiled at his captain even though the man was showing signs of distress.
"You're not a demon, D. I...I think you're from Earth," his voice was soft and he continued to pet Alex's wings gently as he spoke, "Seigmand and I saw a woman...back at that Florida place...she had these, too. Hers were black, but she told me she was from Earth..."

As Trucido looked up he saw Lilith falling down "LILITH!!!" He yelled as he slammed the vase into Xïsa and quickly get next to his Girlfriend side. "L-Lilith, Are you ok?"

He looked at the King. "But... Earth people don't have wings. You say hers were like mine?"
He spread them out to look at them.
"I... I'm glad you think I'm not a demon, Milord. I... really am."

Alexander lay blinking up at the sky for a moment, recalling his odd meeting with Miri that day not too long ago. In an instant, the king shot himself up and looked at Alex.
"You know, that's what she said, too! Earth people don't have wings but she came from Earth - said that there is no magic on Earth, but unique people have stuff like that. She called herself a Guard..." Alexander paused a moment and stared up in the direction the rest of the Sumata were at the moment, "...you know, it's funny, D. She said she was guarding the Earth, and she knows the relics that we're looking for here..."
Alexander looked at Alex with a seriously concerned look, leaning in close and dropping his voice to barely a whisper, "she won't let us have them, or at least says she can't let us. And I think she knows Trucido but I wasn't able to find out how. D, if you're one of her types of people on Earth, then she's going to kick your ass when she finds out you let Trucido get the relic!"

Lilith would have loved to respond. Despite her falling immediately to the ground and attracting all of the attention she had been attempting to receive, she hadn't lost consciousness fully right away.
She heard Trucido screaming. Her only thought was, 'Dammit, Trucido - you don't get it!'
She would have loved to tell him, "Yes, I'm alright - this was part of my distraction scheme to help you out" but as it turned out, she wouldn't be able to tell him anything for...
Another six hours. This stuff was strong, that was for sure.

Trucido looked and saw a bottle, he took a small sniff and realized what it was. "Oh dear, My Girlfriend passed out... I will take her to the Medic." he picked her up. "Come along, we must be leaving." he quickly ran towards to the wood "This is the way to our carriage! We are not hiding her or something."

Xïsa looked at the vase and quickly followed Trucido. "Sir, what is next?" he asked.

"We have to wait for Lilith to wake up, because if she goes in the portal, she could be stuck inside." He said, "So, I am going to look closer at the map, so I can open the portal as close as possible."

Melding into the crowd of people clamoring around some supposed scene by Niagara Falls, a lone man with styled back black hair and muttonchops looks over the scene with a grimace sculpted on his face. Pulling out a cell phone from the inner pocket of his black unbottoned business suit, he hit a few keys and puts the phone to his ears.
"Yo Mills, Dan here, where at the sight and the info seems to check out. Some of them are here ,but it seems short of the estimated numbers."
"How can you tell which of the people are them," Mills' voice rings from the other side of the phone.
"We had Garcian do a quick vision check on the surrounding auras, and several of the people's are visibly different. We're guessing those are our alien candidates. With that figured out, we realized that they're all f****** around by the falls, presumably trying to accomplish something."
Mills: "So what the plan, chief?"
"I gotta wait for the others to join them till I can let loose here, so I'm basically just gonna sit here and watch these people make asses of themselves for awhile longer. Anyway, good job on the info Mills, I'm out." And with that Dan flips the phone closed and tucks it back in his coat pocket. As he does so, he feels his hand brush across the cold steel of his Magnum and a quick surge of excitement goes through his body.
In the back of his mind a voice rings out, its tone harsh, but its sound, soothing and quite.
"Remember Dan, patience. The last time we let you loose in a public setting you killed far too many civilians, the very people we are trying to protect through these assassination efforts. Wait until you know who are main target is, and then draw, understood."
"Yeah, yeah, old man, i got'cha. Just get comfortable in your little wheelchair and enjoy the spectacle that's soon to come," Dan said as his grimace turned into a malevolent smirk.

Alex shook his head. "Honestly, milord... I don't blame her for not wanting o let us have the relics, especially if she knows anythign about Trucido. I've always been loyal first to Santo-Luce, and secodn to the Sumata... I don't like that man. I know that there's nothing we can do about him, but... I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him."
He folded his wings back against his back.

Seigmand ignored the melodrama that unfolded with Trucido, instead curious about the nature of the vase they had claimed. The object was appealing to the eye, but other than that it failed to draw him in. Nothing appeared special about it, yet Seigmand suspected it was what laid inside that would be worth seeing.
Still, it was this fact that worried him. Trucido had the map, but with or without it finding these things would be next to impossible without someone else who could see the light that Trucido spoke of. Thus the only Sumata that could find these were him, meaning Trucido would lead the search for each and every relic they would find. His brows furrowed at the conundrum. The other Sumata he could distract, subdue or otherwise lead off long enough to make collecting the relic a failure, but not someone as strong as their leader. No, as much as he hated it, it would be the Heroes that would have to be strong enough to stop Trucido this time. All Seigmand could do was leave a trail, and try to give hints to the other side as best he could.
Seeing the production was over he walked back to Trucido's side as he held Lilith steadily in his arms. He really seems to care for her, Gods know why. To think what he'd do if she was in real danger. And suddenly it hit him. He smiled devilishly as he looked to Lilith, then Trucido, then the vase he had thrust into Xisa's hands so hastily. Yes, to think what he'd do indeed.

"Goddammit, Lilith is going to waste our time now?" Night asked angrily "I hope that the heroes show up, so I can fight SOMETHING!"

*4 hours later.* Yeligar walked out of the airport and looked around. "So this is Canada? This is a big place, I wonder where they are hiding?" he asked.
