"Really Alexander, I know you are young and all, but its time you took your role in this a bit more seriously." Seigmand scolded the Light King in a stoic tone. Thinking it best that he might do better with the two Alexes, he quickly added, "I suppose though that we can enjoy ourselves for tonight and forget all this relic business. Somehow I don't think anyone will be working hard tonight." He jutted a thumb back behind him towards the few Sumata that remained outside wandering aimlessly in the strange place.
Having to almost force himself he reached an arm around the two of them and pulled them in close. His lips almost quivered as he tried to keep a happy grin on his face. "Now, where to there boys? The night is young after all."
God I hope this pays off. I'm starting to regret picking him of all the Sumata to try and coerce to my side.

Alexander rolled his eyes as Seigmand scolded him - really, just like his father. Whatever, it wouldn't keep the young king down as he flashed his usual grin to Seigmand as Seigmand put his arm around him.
"The night is young and so are we, my fine men! Now I say we see what this planet has to offer us in form of drink, dancing, and fine fine ladies..." and he whipped his head over Seigmand in Alex's direction, "right, D!?! We're real babe magnets! We'll teach Seigmand our secrets and introduce him to women!"

Alex laughed.
"Maybe calming down a little would be our best bet, Sir... getting overeager doesn't really help much, now does it?"
He grinned.
"What we need is a plan."

Alexander nodded.
"That we do, D. Good thinking, what would I do without you?" Alexander responded as he rubbed his chin in somewhat-serious thought, "we do need a plan...but what? What if we did something like you and I are brothers - you're the serious, level-headed brother with a dark past and I'm the sheltered, easy-going fella..."
Alexander then grinned up at Seigmand and added, "and we're out with our dad who hasn't been out of the house since mom died a few years back; we're helping him get back on his romantic feet."
He chuckled at the thought of them trying to play this out in a bar, somehow feeling like there would be more negative results than positive ones.
"I'm free to hear more ideas, guys," Alexander started laughing then as they headed down the street.

Seigmand merely shook his head as Alexander brewed up the cheesy facade. He knew that with such a story, and the short amount of time they would even be in this part of Earth, that any relationship with a woman would be brief. To Seigmand, such effort for only momentary enjoyment was meaningless. A small part of him had yearned for more. Love. Romance. Passion that only another could ignite. Yet time moved far too quickly for him to have the time for lengthy courting, and the women who threw themselves at him, those that required no effort were worth exactly that.
Truth be told it had been many months since he'd bothered with the ladies of his keep. Though they would come at a mere word from his mouth the laborious plotting and research had kept his mind in other places, with only an occasional lonely night to ponder what might be. Fascinating information about Earth had been slowly pieced together from ancient books found in forgotten ruins. Now that he'd come to the world at last, he felt torn. On the one hand he needed to foster an ally out of Alexander before Trucido got hold of him too tightly, yet the lights and sounds in the distant horizon called to his inquisitive nature.
There will be time for exploring. But not nearly as much to make something useful of young Alex. He glanced at him for a moment before speaking, his tone lively and bright.
"Come now boys we need not be so elaborate in a ruse should you wish for women. Merely dazzle them with your skills, your talents." With this he bent down to pick up a small pebble from the ground. He cradled it softly in his open palm before clenching it tightly in his hand. "A little magic even, and you'll have their undivided attention. Then they'll be in the palm of your hand." His hand opened, revealing a tiny female figurine shaped from the pebble. Seigmand grinned coyly, chuckling lightly at his own pun.

Alexander looked on in awe at the small transformed pebble in Seigmand's hand. His eyes were wide in amazement, and he looked slowly up at Seigmand almost as though he were one of the greatest wonders in the world.
And then he replied just as dorky as he usually did, his trademark grin plastered on his youthful face.
"I can use my tongue to make shapes out of cherry stems!" he announced proudly.

Alex snickered.
"Sir....." He smiled. "Living in your fine country, I've learned a little... magic of my own. I discovered a hidden talent for using light as my will. It's little more than sparkles, here on Earth,b ut..."

Seigmand had to resist facepalming at Alexander's remark, but his captain's quick comment subsided it. It seemed that if nothing else the young captain understood what his metaphor had meant.
"Yes you have it Captain Alex. Merely play up your skills as mere prestidigitation and we'll attract only the attention of those we desire to. Now, enough planning. Shall we go Alexes?"

"Of course," Captain Alex said, grinning. He hadn't really allowed himself to have this much fun in a while... Usually he was much more uptight than this. But there was something about the air of excitement in this place that made him feel like a kid again, with no responsibilities.
He sighed. He wished he could remember those days of carefree bliss.
