*Mark's leg slammed into Andy's head.*
Mark: Cram it Carrot-Top!

"Cars? They are fueled by gas and corn? How does that work if they are not pulled by animals?"
Jasmine's questions were cut short of course when they discovered the small, pink car. Mark flipped. Andy laughed. Jasmine didn't get it.
However, she was curious about the strangely-shaped object that they called a "car". She immediately stepped up to it, stopping only a few feet away in case it came to life...or...was it alive?
"Ooooh, it's so cute!" she exclaimed happily, "is it alive? Why is it funny?"

Kouji snickered at the other's missfortune, but Kouichi had something serious to point out.
"Um... we're not gonna all fit in that," he mentioned. "Um... the bus station isn't all that far from here, and it stops at the airport..."

"Airport?" Volkmar asked "What do we do there? Make a portal?"

Kouji laughed.
"No... there's a machine called an airplane that flies through the air at really high speeds, it's a mode of public transportation. Airports are where you sign up to ride one and where they land and take off."

Jasmine's eyes widened as Kouji spoke. She couldn't help but dart her eyes upwards into the sky, almost as though she were keeping a close watch out for these "airplane" like machines...
"You fly, too? But...does the airplane run on corn as well?" she'd never actually thought of what it might be like to fly up so high over the world. If they went up that high, what would catch them if they fell? It worried her, but she'd try to keep calm because really, there was nothing to worry about with her friends around. At least, she trusted Kouji enough, and Kouichi didn't seem too bad either. Volkmar was growing on her, and she was certain that Mark and Andy would keep anything bad from happening.
It couldn't be bad.

"Flying? Sounds interesting." Volkmar said as he walked around a bit. "And how are we getting there?"

"By bus," Kouji said to Volk. "It's like Mark's car, only bigger."
Kouichi continued talking to Jasmine. "It's a very similar kind of fuel... I'm not sure what kind of technology you have in Crepusculum, but there's an ancient technology on our world which uses running water to move things... the fuels that we use do similar things, excetp, by burning these things we produce gas that moves pieces to move other pieces very efficiently. Different fuels move things faster or slower, so an airplane runs on something very different than a car... and, of course, it's all a very simple explanation... but that's the basics of how it works."
Kouichi loved technology and how it works, so he was happy to explain it to Jasmine as best he could.

*Mark froze at the word 'flying', yeah he mentally prepared himself for this and this he could fly himself but there are TWO major differences between flying on your own and in a machine that could crash and burn.*
Oh... man...
*He turned to Kouji.*
Mark: It's not MY car, it's a rental.
*Mark then opened up the pink car but first grabbing Andy to insure him coming and throwing him head first into the car.*
Mark: Hurry up, Jasmine, we wouldn't want to be late. *he said hiding his nervousness.*

"Ohhh," Jasmine responded to Kouichi in awe, "the people on Earth are very intelligent for being able to create something so complex...you're very smart to know how it all works yourself, I wish I could make machines like that!"
She'd gotten a little too distracted then as she noticed that Mark was trying to flag down her attention. She'd seen that Andy had been tossed into the small pink vehicle but stalled her thoughts on it as she listened to Kouichi's knowledge on this airplane thing. As Mark called her, she gave a quick smile and polite nod to Kouichi before turning and running towards the car, giving the exterior another curious look before climbing into one of the back seats.
And of course the interior of the car was another adventure for her as Jasmine's eyes darted around the back of the car. The first object to be examined was a long piece of tough fabric that had a thin chunk of metal attached to the end--and oh look, it retracted when you pulled on it!
"How interesting! Andy, what is it?"

Andy made sure to whack Mark upside the head as he sat in, when Jasmine asked about the seatbelt he strapped her in and said. "Gives you some extra protection without magic."
If she became annoying during this trip he was glad he had headphones and a walkman.

Yeligar looked at the car and said "I am going to walk to the airport, and try to let all of the heroes in the car. You know, to get the heroes to interact and socialize." He said as he turned and walked away.

((if you haven't seen it yet, this may interest you)) "I see...how does it work?" Jasmine tugged slightly at the belt, noticing that it strapped her tightly to the seat, "...it keeps me in here? That would be handy to have in Crepusculum, when the animals suddenly stop moving everyone falls out of their seats...the car has to suddenly stop moving sometimes too, right?" It was probably best that she was ignorant to the idea that a machine made out of hard and sharp metal and glass could collide with something and she'd do more than just "fall out of her seat" if she didn't wear the seatbelt. She directed her attention to the window, looking around at everything (and still glancing up at the sky in search of one of these airplanes Kouichi was talking about) and asked aloud to anyone who'd answer her, "Is Earth big? I wonder if it's bigger than Crepusculum..."

*Mark started up the car and drove forward, he felt like a parent watching after his kid and his girlfriend he met from another world...*
Mark: Earth is much bigger, the air is a little less fresh but that's our own fault. *Mark shrugged, he was bored of the silence so he turned on the radio, regretting it fully some really high pitched signer singing in Japanese came on, Mark groaned trying to turn it off.* Turn off, dammit!
*Mark lifted his foot and kicked it, then once more making a loud crashing sound as he broke his foot through the radio.*
Mark: AH CRAP! No worries, I can still drive! *he said keeping his eyes on the road why trying to wiggle his foot out of the radio.*
