It was dark. Pitch black. When her green eyes opened there was calm before the panic.
Where am I...what's going on?...
The young girl twisted and turned in the small confinement she found herself in until licking hard enough the top of whatever she was in opened slightly to spill in an eery and pale light. She pulled on the crack with all the strength she could muster to finally push the top of the container off with a grunt. Kara Samsra sat up groggily and looked around at her surroundings.
How on earth had she gotten here? It looked to be as though she'd been laying in a sort of coffin. That thought scared her. Had she been dead? No way. The room was rather small, with an open door at the other side. The woman had no clue what she was supposed to do. Go outside? Not much of a choice, no where else to go.
She hopped out of the casket with a shiver. The runes carved in it were odd and unfamiliar to her. She picked up the end of her light dress from the dusty floor and slowly walked out the door. There were stairs, and it took several minutes to climb up all of them. When she arrived though it was shocking:
The palace garden. Why had she never seen this before? A very plain entrance sitting in the castle wall right next to her mother's favorite gardening spot. What was usually a well tended area was now barren and covered in icey waste, much like everything else she could see. With heavy steps she continued on but found nothing more. Nothing was left in her beautiful home and city but ice and ruin. The only thing she could muster to do was sit on the ground and cry near what used to be the peasant's bakery.

It was really cold out here, but Jasmine seemed to enjoy it. She had often enjoyed travelling the world, and something about Bloccaretown always piqued her interest. It was dead, mysterious, there was someone here crying--
Wait, someone was here?
Jasmine treaded quickly and quietly to find a black-haired girl huddled on the ground, crying. She frowned sympathetically at the poor thing and stepped slowly toward her, kneeling down when she got close to the girl.
"Poor dear...what is the matter? Is there anything I can do?" she asked softly.
[[is this an open or closed thread? XD;; If I'm not supposed to be here I'll take my post out, kk?]]

[[No, no! I was waiting for any one to show ^^ Yeah I should've thought to say it open. lol]]
A person! That had seemed like a miracle at this point. When she looked up at the kind voice her heart calmed from the burst of the adrenaline hearing a voice had caused. The woman looked nice and maybe even slightly wealthy by her fine clothing.
"H-hello. I-i had almost thought there was nobody here. Where did everyone go?" She wiped her face of tears quickly to regain some compossure. Her voice no more then a whisper from lack of speaking for so long.

[[^^; It's cool, I just thought i should check~ I don't like barging in on plots I'm not invited in]]
Brae looked completely lost when she asked where all the people had gone to. Maybe there was something wrong with this girl, like she was sick or something...
"Well...there never is anyone here. I'm actually visiting here from the Crepusculum Kingdom, my dear, but...there has been no one here in centuries," she smiled as she spoke, "do you need any help? Are you lost at all?"

Her eyes widened. "Centuries? That's not possible. My ancestors have ruled this land for thousands of years. I...I just..." She paused and looked around for a minute. "Everyone was so sick...Papa said he didn't want me to get sick..." Denile still threatened her but little fragments of memories conflicted against it.

Okaaay, this girl was definitely sick. Jasmine slowly took her hand and warmly rested it on the girl's head, and hoping she didn't scare her, her hand glowed slightly as she tried to 'assess' the girl's illness.
And found nothing. Alright, so...she wasn't sick. Now Jasmine was really confused. Thousands of years, this place had been dead for something-hundred years, people sick...
"I...um...I'm sorry to say but this place has been dead for that long, dear. If I remember correctly from the books I've read, a plague had hit it long ago..."
However as crazy as she sounded, something about what this girl was saying seemed so...genuine, so Jasmine was nearly quite sure that the girl wasn't just playing a prank.

The girl sat still, having been taught not to fight a healer's work. She recognized the calming glow from her aunt and cousin when watching them work. "The Plague..."
It all started to come back. The multiple moans and groans of sickness and agony that had been heard in the city. All the patients seeking help from the high priestesses that had no cure to give them. "My gosh..."

Jasmine frowned as she watched the girl. "Are you alright, love? Where do you live? I'll take you home and get you well looked after."

"Jasmine!" a voice called from outside, and sixteen year old boy with orange hair, wearing clothes not fit for the weather of winter, and on his visibly on his right arm was a large tattoo of a Lion's head.
"Did you find...huh?" the boy paused upon seeing the girl, "Who's she?"

She stood and held herself with all the confidence she could muster in her situation. "I am Kara Samsra, 2nd Princess of the ice kingdom Ghiaccio." Her large green eyes fell to the ground. "This was my home..."

"Kara Samsra, my name is Andy Jammer. This was your home?" Andy asked, looking around. This desolate place was nearly completely covered in ice.

The figured loomed much taller then her but a series of drills had taught her never to cower in any person's prescense. It was unbecoming of royalty, and this person had a look that she need be cautious around him. "So what if I am?"

"Then you will be helpful... We just need to know if you are, We are not going to take you yet, but we just need to see if you are the true ruler of this god forsaken place," He said with no emotion.

She almost scowled at him, it had sounded almost threatening. Kara slowly removed the black glove from her right hand and extended out the palm. On it spiraled several runes and markings starting from the middle and working up her arm. Only the royal women of Ghiaccio had such marks.
