As the rocks fell Kevin leaped from rock to rock, landing on the ground. He tipped his hat a bit at him and grinned.
"Well done!" he laughed, "You took me to your level...now what?"
He took up his blade and pointed at him, twirling his blade a bit as energy gathered around it. "You got a nice tactic, can you follow up?"

Seigmand continued with a relentless barrage of earthen waves and ground-based spikes that haunted Kevin with each move he made. The dust that clouded Kevin's vision was nigh irrelevant to Seigmand as he tracked his adversary's movement from the vibrations in the ground.
Amidst the rocky, changing terrain the silhouette of Seigmand stood taunting Kevin forward. Baying his foe on. Seigmand was doing just fine surviving like this, and as long as he could endure he was sure he get the exact result he wanted.

Kevin had to be quick on his feet, leaping around he focused more on dodging than fighting Seigmand. That was until a large spike flew for his head, he raised his sword and a sheild of red energy managed to save his life...but not his hat. It fell to the ground and Kevin sighed, but admist that his eyes went fierce as the dust cleared. He stared at Seigmand oddly.
"...Why did you come here for training? You are certainly more than capable to handle yourself..."

Oh well, I was really hoping he'd take the bait, but he's stopped moving now. Is he ending the lesson? Seigmand sighed, knowing there was only one way to find out.
From behind Kevin came an explosive blast of dirt and rock as Seigmand shouldered through the earth. Without the continuous havoc of his attacks against the quarry's terrain the dust soon settled in the area. Where Kevin had been looking laid not Seigmand, but a crude statue of his likeness standing erect in a single stoic pose.
"So, either I didn't fool you and you were just waiting for me to expose myself for an attack, or I've done enough to get through this lesson. I do hope that if it's the latter the next lesson actually helps me."
Despite the helpless appearance Seigmand conveyed with his arms tied behind his back he tried his best to look menacing. "Perhaps you don't understand Kevin, but I'm not strong. Not compared to what I've seen the real fighters do in our little game. I'm smarter than most, and there is no ego in that statement. Yet a clever attack means nothing if it can't hit, just as a brilliant defense is useless against an attack too strong for it to handle."
"Now, give me something to work with Kevin. Your tests have been easy, and the thought that I need fear death from them has been a joke." Seigmand crossed his arms and turned away in annoyance, the mere sight of Kevin's face causing his ire to rise.

The harsh look in Kevin's eyes remained as he snapped his fingers and released his bonds.
"...If you insist. Fine then. I'll let loose the limiters." Kevin explained as suddenly, bonds of heavy metal appeared in the air and crashed to the ground. Making deep impacts. "I placed these as I teach pupils, to make sure I don't kill them. But since you are so inistant I will let everything loose."
He held his hands out and the scenery seemed to change, they were now standing in an oval arena made of corperal energy. There was only Seigmand and Kevin himself, who raised his hand and multiple swords, axes, spears, and bows formed.
"Choose your weapon."

The sudden change in atmosphere caused Seigmand to look around frantically, desperately trying to find out where he was, and how they had gotten here so fast. The area was sparse, with only a few rocks and hills jutting from an otherwise flat plateau. He looked back at Kevin with a blend of fear and curiosity at what had just happened.
"Where have you taken me Kevin? If this is a ruse of yours than you can cut the front and tell me what's going on." He stepped forward, ready to draw his staff from behind his back when he felt the dreadful realization of the predicament he was in. He realized his signature weapon was gone from his holster. The predicament of his lost weapon he was seriously screwed As he stood deathly still looking at Kevin he understood the gravity of the situation.
This man has power far beyond what he's let on. Calm down Seigmand, play along for now until you can figure out what's going on. This might be a trick.
As Seigmand resumed an appearance of composure he moved to a bo staff in one quick stride. Even as he picked it up his eyes never left Kevin.
"So, now what?"

"You wanted to learn how to be strong did you not?" Kevin asked, twirling a few blades of ethereal energy. "The best way is to learn how to fight in a way that is different."
He stood battle ready across from Seigmand. "If you stick to one way of battle you will be predictable, no matter how smart you are it is useless if an enemy can stop your one and only skill. So, I shall teach you another. The best way for hidden abilities to rise is under the threat of danger."

"That's where you're very wrong Kevin. The only reason I can be stopped if because I have much to learn. You've only seen the foundation upon which Geomancy's power can be built upon. Now, enough talk. Teach me something Master!" His last words were covered in sarcasm. Seigmand slammed the staff into the ground in front of him, this time letting the stone spread out into two sharp tips on either end.
With a graceful florish he whirled the staff around his body before winding up and striking the ground in a vertical strike. The ground pulsed with the blow and rose up as a high towering wall, only a few feet long. It's sudden appearance blocked the combatants' view from each other. Seigmand stood at the ready, waiting to see Kevin fall into his trap.

Kevin watched the wall come up with mild interest, his blade pulsed with energy and he swung his sword, cutting air and drawing red lines in the air. When he finished he drew several X-shaped patterns in the air. The lines flashed and disappeared into the rock, there was a pause when the towers that was made were crumbling down. As they crumbled Kevin seemed to have disappeared.

As Seigmand had expected. Kevin had seemed the type to bash away obstacles, or at least what their first exchange had told him. Thus as he listened intently as the air whistled against the crimson blade beams, he was already crouching down against the ground waiting for whatever attack would turn his monument into rubble.
No sooner did the flashing energy pass him by did Seigmand hop up and double palm heel the crumbling structure, keeping his staff laid across both palms. The stone seemed to freeze in mid-collapse as the stone binded to itself. Keeping low Seigmand sweep kicked the bottom section out of the tower and used it to move directly under the shredded rock. With a heavy "Ki-Yup!" he struck the tower's remaining mass with another double palm strike. Though this time the surging energy that rippled through the tower had the opposite effect; sending the shrapnel flying out like a frag grenade in a full 360 degree scope.

Kevin had no choice but to throw up a blood red energy shield, some of the fragments hit it and managed to crack it. He sighed as he lowered his shield and...sheathed his blade.
"Let's try a new trick shall we?" he murmured, he clapped his hands together and then slammed it on the ground. The stone shrapnels suddenly turned into steel...which came to life and began to rush toward Seigmand.

Seigmand's confidence did not last long. Having done what he thought was forcing Kevin to resign he soon understood that the man was merely playing out a new unpredictable attack. Never before had he known of a technique to turn stone to pure metal. As his mind raced and his body rushed to defend against the numerous piecing shards, he was busy trying to learn from what the attack meant. Was Kevin a master Geomancer? An alchemist? Or were they in a realm that Kevin controlled exclusively? None of the options sounded good for Seigmand, but the stinging blood-letting pain of the few shards that broke through his defenses certainly ruled out that he was in trapped in an illusion. The pain felt real, and the blood that cascaded down the shards into his hands felt real too.
"A dirty trick Kevin." He coughed the words out. "And something I'll question you on once we've finished with this. Don't even think I'm done from something like that." He gripped on the two that had remained inside him and pulled with all his might till they dropped from his chest.
Seigmand had already realized something from his last attack. He needed to see if worked consistently. Channeling another tower in front of him he rushed towards it and leapt at the flat sheer surface. Letting the stone form to create footholds for him he ascended quickly. With a final bound he leapt above it and came down with a two footed stomp on the top. At the top of his lungs he shouted "Kiyaaa!" as his feet connected with the stone and drove it into the ground.
The result was that the accumulated tower rushed out in a shockwave of erratic stone spikes and blocks that fired out all around from the tower's location. As he fell to the ground waiting below to catch him, he smirked to himself.

The stone blocks and spikes rushed forward but Kevin seemed to be using them to bounce off the edges.
"Your control over geomancy in this world is incredible! Considering where we are... can you take a guess?" he asked as he landed on a pillar, sitting paitently.

Seigmand paused, pondering the question. Rather, he pondered why Kevin had asked the question. It was true, the elements was pure, wherever they were. The ground and rocks were unmarred by plant life, metals, or anything else, so to Seigmand it felt as thought he entire world was his to sculpt. It was perfect, and in that way, it was also unnatural and impossible.
He glared thoughtfully at Kevin, "Okay I think it's time you tell me where exactly here is. This place seems impossible, so either you've found or created this strange place, or there's something more to it. Why don't you cut the games Kevin?"

"Awww. I like the games," he grinned, "Okay okay, I'll make a deal, you solve it and you pass this exam and I'll even give you a hint. You win and I will let you out of his world, whaddya say?"
