He nodded. "THis thing... I've had it for a long time, now. SOmetimes it feels more like a friend than a piece of stone."

"Huh, I know what that is like." He said, as he looked at his sword, "This is the only thing I have from Lunatopia before it was destroyed."

"It's a fine sword," he said, walking over to Volk. "And the last relic of your homeland... it's an important thing. I'm sure it's served well in the past, and will continue to serve well. I don't really approve of killing, but... sometimes, I guess it's necessary."
He shrugged. "Mind if I tag along for a while?"

"Sure, you can come along." He said, "I guess... The thing that pisses me off the most is that there is no real reason he did it, just rumors. and the fact that destroy the city."

Vash shook his head. "I don't know," he said, his eyes in a far-away place. "One day, the city was there; the next, it was gone, and so were most of it's people. Xisa was it's cause, that much we know, but why... it's one fo he mysteries of the world. Still, doesn't matter. We'll find out!"

"It will be the only thing he could use to use to survive from me... if I can be him." He said, he looked at the sword then chuckled. "Do you know of the fable of hidden moons?"

Vash's happy-go-lucky smile turned sad for a moment, before breaking out into a secretive grin. "Of course. A long time ago, the ancestors of Lunatopians came from the moon. As a peace offering to the natives, they set moons in the sky for each kingdom, to focus their magic. The natives refused the gift, afraid that the moon-people would use the moons as weapons in times of war and spies in times of peace... well, all but one - the land of darkness accepted the offer, and the Black Moon stayed. All other moons were taken back from the sky. Still, all the moons still have Warriors, the most powerful being the Black Moon Warrior, whose souls pass on to their successors when they die, the spell created to balance the moons' power."

"Yea, that is the fable." He said as he looked at him. "The current leader of Nerezza thinks that is trying to 'train me' to use it, Because of a birthmark." He scratched at his birthmark, and looked at the ceiling. "Some people need to stop believing in such tall tales.

Vash looked up at the sky as if straining to see something that wasn't there. "You don't believe in the Moons?" he asked Volk, still staring aat the sky. He absently unstrapped the cross, placing it on the ground and leaning on it. The Wisps floated around him, drawn to his lanky form like moths to the proverbial flame.

"No, I don't." He said, "Why should I? I don't see any other beside the one, Ketuluna. It is a fable told to kids, and I feel sorry for anyone believing in the fable."

Vash laughed. "The moons can't be seen because their spirits were placed within us, the Warriors. Hidden within the night sky, their light doesn't reach us anymore... but I can show you that they exist. I have the proof."

Volk looked annoyed, when he said, "I think I pissed off the gods, and I died. This is my punishment, 'oh the moon exist!', 'I can prove it'. You can not prove it."

Vash shook his head, unsettling some Wisps that had landed in his hair.
"But... I can."
And at that, his entire body started to glow, the wisps taking off the moment his power unsealed itself. The cross he carried took on some of that glow, and a pillar of light reached up to touch... something. An object in he sky slowly but surely appeared, a ghostly image. It was cracked in half, jagged, small with the distance, but it was there, hanging in the sky. Slowly, surely, the glow died, and the image faded, and Vash was once again a harmless, eccentric young man surrounded by Wisps, looking at Volk through tinted glasses.

"... Nice trick." He said, with his eyes in awe. "What type of spell is that?" Volk was thinking, that it was a spell.

Vash grinned. "A spell that allows the GhostMoon Warrior to connect his soul with that of the moon itself; it's not an uncommon ability among the Moon Warriors."
It's ony a small lie, he reassured himself in his mind.
