Jasmine blinked and frowned slightly as she said, "Wow, you must have really come a long way from here if you don't even know what a sage is..."

But she was quick to smile again, and said with a little more enthusiasm to her voice, "I am a sage, which means I am a magic user. As I've said, I focus on healing and defensive magic. Sages do not typically fight, which is why I never attacked that man or beast," and she bounced a little on her feet, then, "my job as a sage is to provide protection during battle, and heal the sick and injured."

She paused a moment and then tilted her head to the side. "You are a warrior, yes? You helped me in my time of need, and you were merciful to a monster in a helpless state--you have a heart of gold! And as such, it is my duty and in my own will to do as you need done, providing my services to the very best of my ability and train so my magic becomes ever stronger to continue to aid you in the future on your...quest? Are you on a quest?"


She hoped she hadn't gotten too carried away. This was the first warrior she had met since she left her home, afterall.

Andy thought about it for a minute and nodded, "I guess I am one, I've been brought here by Yeligar Maelstrom, he wanted me to help this land... save it from what, I'm not sure, but I bet the guy in red is one of those reasons."

"Yeligar...?"

She felt like she should have known that name, and if she did, she didn't remember it now.

"I would probably have to agree that if this world was in danger that terrible man would be part of it," Jasmine said uneasily, but her enthusiasm grew again shortly after as she looked at Andy with big, bright eyes, "but it's okay because you're here, right? I believe in you!"

She then ran up beside him, facing in the same direction as him and stood straight with her hands clasped together in front of her and said, "Andy, if you're going to save the world, then I'm going to be right there to help make sure no one tries to stop you! You believe in me, too!"

"Huh? What?" Andy did a double take, "You? Come with me? I...I don't know..."

"Why not?" Jasmine blinked and tilted her head slightly, "you can't tell me it's too dangerous, it's a mutual thing. Like...um...ah!"

She quickly grabbed one of Andy's hands and held it firmly in hers. "Like this, see? Neither hand dominates the other in a handshake, they're a team, even if their sources are completely different. That's how it works--you just need to make sure I don't get stabbed and I'll rid you of curses, and in extreme times, death if I can act in time..."

She looked him in the eye and flashed another bright smile as she said, "I believe in you, but that means you have to believe in me, too."

Andy blinked at her holding his hand and removed it from hers. "Great, that's great just um... well...if you're sure... then fine, you can come."

"Fantastic! You'll see! I know it sounds weird right now, but you'll be glad you made this choice at some point," Jasmine said as she resumed her position she had once had standing right beside Andy, "I promise you it--I won't let you down."

"Aight, if you believe so," he nodded, "Well Jas, let's get a move on. There are a lot of places to explore."
