"I'm not here relaxing, fool," Lana spat at Xisa, and then turning to Zelos, "I'm here checking up on what a few of my 'friends' in Santo-Luce are up to, for the royal family of Nerezza."
It wasn't a whole lie. Yes, she had taken a break. No, the royal family really hadn't asked her to come out here, but she figured that she had taken action enough that even if she was given heck for leaving Nerezza, she would still remain on the royal family's good side for doing something seemingly productive in her absence.
It was neither Zelos' or Xisa's concern, however.
She grinned and shook some of the hair out of her face as she added, "Besides, I don't take orders from either of you. You may be higher up than me in Sumata, but I do as the king or queen of Nerezza order me to do."

Zelos stared at her with his cold look and said simply, "Well, I suppose you would have gotten the memo... then again, only the higher ups would."
This next question was more or less directed to Xisa, but Lana would have to hear this as well, "Are you aware of the recently awakened ice princess?"

Lana rolled her eyes and mutterd, "Of course I would have gotten the memo...I work closely with rulers of the dark lands afterall..."
She wasn't going to admit that she really had no clue what this 'memo' was, but putting it in context she figured it must be this ice princess he was talking about. Could be interesting. She'd have to talk with the royals about it.

"I am the one who made the memo, and It will be someone else to get the Princess like the True leader of Ghiaccio, who will be getting them, Not the ruler of the dead." Xïsa said. He looked at Zelos and Lana

"Yes... I was more actually referring to the two accompanying her," Zelos' face was unwavering. "One of Yeligar's chosen is amongst them, the boy."

Lana couldn't help but grin. "You're afraid of a bunch of kids? How rich."

Zelos was not affected anyway by her insult, as he continued to speak.
"Yeligar chose the boy for a reason, great power lies dormant inside him. Powers that will, and very much may, cut our 'little group' down to it's dawdling numbers."

Lana's eyebrows raised at this--this was interesting information, indeed. She still kept her smug smile as she responded to Zelos with, "You know what that means then, right?"
And then while still speaking primarily to Zelos, she turned in Xisa's direction and finished, "...You kick his ass before these 'powers' become not dormant! Geez, you guys."
Lana wasn't the type to 'think things through'. Her body thought for her--trained in the dark lands, she used the shadows to her advantage to move quickly, quietly, and dangerously. Graceful and flexible, it amazed some people how she could sneak by without them noticing. Some people, though. Not ones who knew to look everywhere before they moved.
There was no enemy too terrifying, too difficult, too big, too young or old, too anything for her. For the longest time she was trained to live, and the only way to do that was to fight; as long as you were victorious over your opponent...well, obviously you lived a little longer.
There was that and she just really loved kicking the crap out of anything and anyone she got the chance to. She never turned down challenges.

"That's precisely why I'm here," his mouth twisted into a crooked smile. "We agree that the boy must be stopped before any power inside him is discovered, and we also agree... that you should be the one to do it Lana."

Lana was silent for a moment, and long before she even spoke, her facial features clearly showed her response to this as she grinned devilishly.
"I like this. I'll lure him into the shadows and he'll never know what hit him," she cackled, "so any details I need about him or this whole mission? Besides you need him dead?"
She took her hand and ran it through her hair. Yes, she was horrifically stubborn and never generally took orders from anyone but from her royals in Nerezza...but this was still the chance to beat something up, which was a chance she never turned down.

"He is accompanied by a Sage and the Princess of Ice, kill the Sage if you wish, but the princess must be brought back intact and alive." He answered, "I will be watching you, if you fail, you will not get a second crack at him. This mission is too delicate to fail."

A Sage, the Princess, and the Boy. If she were going to be successful without any hassle, it would be an asset to keep the sage in mind, though she could break the mission down into two simple objectives: Kill the boy, get the princess. She already figured that separating the princess from him would put her at an advantage from the get-go...assuming she could keep it that way. She'd probably need a couple of dummies to help out with that.
"Then fail the mission will not," Lana said simply, "as I said, I'll lure him into my turf. I don't know how well he can see in the dark, but he still wouldn't know how to use it to his advantage as well as I can."
She straightened herself up, ran her fingers along the handle of the longsword strapped to her side, and put her cold look to use as she asked Zelos, "Am I dismissed to round up the 'tools' I need?" and by 'tools', she meant the soldiers she thought she'd need--just a couple. Get too many together and they do something stupid.

"Use your own soldiers" Xïsa said "If you are going to lure them on your turf, then they will be your men, and death count."

Lana narrowed her eyes at Xisa.
"My death count? You think I'm going to fail, don't you?"
She looked from Xisa to Zelos, and then she walked in between them and headed off on her own.
"Nevermind. I have a plan, and in it, the princess will follow me willingly--I need only to destroy the boy," she sneered.
