"Trucido, that isn't right!"
Alexander shook his head at Trucido, a disbelieving look on his face.
"There are too many good people in this world already, people I don't want to have to kill. And you can't prove that when we take over that this world will be any different anyway, what if we make mistakes, too? What if we don't agree on what has to be done and end up destroying the world we created with our own hatred like those in the past have done?"
He thought of Harumi, then. Such a sweet girl, and how much he ached for her company...and even moreso, her own safety. He had to prove himself to Mark afterall, and to do that he'd have to make sure he did what he could to make sure the people in his kingdom, like Harumi, were safe.

"Alex, It seems to have a problem with the plan." He said as his wings came out and hoisted himself out of the hole. He looked at Alex, squarely into the eyes of the king. "... Good!" He said as he smiled and patted on his back "I am glad you have an opinion. You see, the problem is that all of the gods are trying to make all of their ideas fit on one planet. What we will do, is that everyone can have their own planet, making it the way they want it. Then, we can bring a bit of them, and let them live in one large planet together, and the harmony can exist that way!"
He faced away from him and said, "Alex, come with me, for a second."

The only thing that really went through Alexander's head at that moment was '....wait, what just happened?'
Seriously, he thought Trucido was going to kill him. But no, apparently he liked that Alexander hated this idea. But the one he put in replacement didn't make Alexander feel any better, honestly. And now, the young king was even more conflicted. He sighed, and then followed after Trucido...now really hoping that he wasn't going to kill him.
"What is it?" he asked.

They walked for a bit, until they reach a small village. It was small and their was a large fire is in the center. "This is the world in the nutshell." He said as he pointed to the fire. A woman covered in a dress made out of bones. She whistled and an elderly woman was dragged to the fire. She was making sounds like a bird, and pulled out a knife. She stab the old woman, and tossed her body on the fire. "Gruesome, isn't?" He said as turned around. "This is not how the world needs to be. No need to sacrifice. We need to be friendly gods, and the sloths lazing up there. You have a nice friendly face, to properly, lead the universe."

Alexander watched stone-faced as the ritual before them happened. Despite how gruesome it was, Alexander shook his head and sighed.
"Trucido, I...I don't think this will ever change, regardless of what kind of gods we are. People create cults, people all believe in different things and I think they have the right to do that. I just..."
He shrugged his shoulders and kept his gaze fixed on the fire, and the body burning in it.
"I don't know, is all."

"Alex, I do." He said as he looked at him. "I have seen this for eons. The gods are the one who are the problem. But sadly, to do that, we need to restart the world. Sad, I know, but you can't make an omelet with out breaking some eggs."

Alexander looked absolutely baffled.
"Trucido, this is hardly the time to be thinking about food, alright?!" he was surprised to find himself snapping at the man, "I just...I don't know. I'm sorry. I honestly wish my dad was here right now to talk to him about this, maybe he'd have a better idea of what to do. Holmes said he knew a lot, and apparently he had information to give to me before he died...it's just bad it worked out this way. Maybe if I'd listened to my dad, I wouldn't be so confused right now."

Trucido stopped and looked at him. " I am shocked that you, of all people, do not know that quote. It means it is difficult to achieve something important without causing any unpleasant effects. Your father use to say that. Why don't I help you; ask me any question, and I will answer it truthfully."

"I suppose..." Alexander answered slowly, "...I should talk to Holmes about this. He knew a lot of what my father knew, and somehow I think he'll be able to help me make more sense of everything in the end. This is hard, you know?"

"I don't think that Holmes like me." He said to him, "He liked your father." He walked towards the holes he was digging, and sat down. "...It is not here, Alex. But there is one thing I need to ask of you; please do not tell ANYONE about Lilith's pregnancy, not even Holmes. Please."

Alexander shook his head as he started, "It's hard to tell with Holmes. I didn't think he liked me too much for awhile either, but apparently he really did? He and dad were really close though, and I mean since they were like...kids. They told each other everything..."
He looked down at Trucido, a strange revelation coming to him...a weakness in Trucido. He was vulnerable for once, trying to desperately keep a secret from the world...was it out of fear? Alexander would think fear, if it were him he'd be afraid of letting anyone know about his family, especially if he were in Trucido's position.
Something almost lifted in Alexander's heart, knowing that for once, the tables had turned. It was Trucido's turn to be afraid. He finally nodded, stuffing his hands back into his pockets.
"Yeah. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. I don't even really know who all I can trust anyway...and Holmes has started acting a little funny recently anyway. I think he's stressed, so I wouldn't bother him with anything like this anyway...are you going to be okay, though? You seem worried."

"I am not worried, just pissed. I can not find what I am looking for." He said as he picked up his shovel, "And remeber, between you and me, 'kay?"
