Leid laughed.
"You should think, but you don't!"
He launched himself forward, twirling his sword and stabbing for Eric's head.

Holmes dove into battle, quite confident now that Fin would be there to aid him. For an older man who was never in the army he was quite slower-moving, but he felt if he could at least catch a guard or two by surprise he'd have a better chance of overthrowing them.
....if he could tell which guards were his enemies and which were not. Obviously the ones attacking him were his enemies, he at least had that.

A couple of guards rushed towards Holmes, their swords raised to attack him then. They both wasted no time in attacking him at the same time, one throwing a slash at one end and the other throwing a stab on the other side.

((LOL so, I need to finish this...))
Holmes wasn't sure how he managed to survive such an attack, or rather any and all of the attacks that were thrown at him and whatever loyal men he did have on his side.
The battle was long, too damn long, and it was a creepy thing for Holmes and the loyal servants of Alexander to essentially 'kill themselves' the whole way through. The usual white, bright, very clean and shining floors and walls of the Solar Palace now glistened with splashes and pools of red death. Some were friends, some where foes.
And a lot of them they weren't sure about, that being the worst of it all.
Holmes stepped around the bodies that littered the floor - even Brahl's massive house of a body was now, finally, laying lifeless on the polished floor. Holmes's body ached and bled with his own injuries (luckily non-severe, he had a lot of protection) and his walk had a slight limp to it as he made his way down the quiet hall. Servants had been slaughtered, it didn't seem to matter who they were and it made him worry all the more.
"Daddy!"
Holmes froze where he was, only the happiest of pains now gripping his heart as his daughter, however battered and bruised herself ran into his arms and hugged him tightly. He let tears fall knowing that she was at least safe, though certain that she'd been tormented horribly. At least she was safe. Other servants that were still alive or barely hanging on joined their company soon, everyone started to gather to figure out what was their next move. Leid had been detained, luckily still alive...
"Holmes!!!" Everyone turned their attention to the front double-doors of the castle, King Alexander now running frantically inside. Pale as a ghost, eyes nearly bulging out of his skull, true horror spilling all over his physical features - Alexander nearly lost his mind at the scene before him.
He bolted towards Holmes, his servants, the remaining guards; he wanted to hug all of them. He wanted to but now was the time for him to be the strong one for all of them--they were all watching him and expecting him to do something about this. Alexander swallowed the large lump in his throat and looked around.
"...Who did this?" he spoke quietly. Leid was brought before him and Alexander gave him an indiscernible stare as he commanded to his guards, "put him away under close watch in the dungeons. The country will see his punishment after we've cleaned this up."
Leid was taken away, Alexander had a lot of decisions to make, and reality was now really slapping him hard in the face.
((TADA THE END.))
