Ayalan smiled at the answer, and nodded at Akuma.
"Well let's do a test then" He presented his hand to Akuma, and nodded at the board: The odds at this point being that Aya had two pair, and four clubs: Statistically: He would have a very low chance of getting an overall good hand: He needed one more club, which was a ...number less than 1 percent due to his lucky streak as is, or a 7 to make three of a kind: This was still unlikely.
"What would you do? Strive on? Or stay around?" He looked up at Akuma, nodding to him: They both were similar by looks indeed, as if a yin and yang were about to form by hair color alone.

"I'm a knight Mr Invargas, all I do is press onwards and complete my goals" He looked down at the man with his hands resting plaintativley by his side "By pressing onwards I will either acomplish my goals or die trying, if you truly want to win Mr Invargas then you would want to push your game further and hope for the best, backing out and retreating now only brings shame and dishonour"

Ayalan smirked again, "Go figure. I suppose you and I do have some sort of bond then." He tossed in two coins, motioning a call.
"I was trained as an assassin, then became a mercenary. Your ideals are golden, I admit that mine are a bit shallow, but our sense of honor remains the same: I never run from a fight." He grinned over to the man. "So what brings you here truly, Sir Shuen?" He looked back to Ludro, crossing his arms, awaiting the man's final call.
"Something important to your goals I assume?" He smiled.

"My ideals may sound golden but they are almost certainly stained with blood" he watched as he threw in two more coins before continuing "I was born here in Nerezza and signed up to the guard as soon as possible, I was knighted when I was merely a boy barely older than 16 making me the youngest man in almost all of Allorum ever to be knighted, my goals are simple" he placed a gauntleted hand against the scar on his chest for a moment as if remembering something painful "Which is to do as my oath says and protect Lady Elexa B'Shera with my life"
He made it clear in his expression that their was more behind that tale, more that could not be spoken in such a public place.

Ayalan smirked and nodded slowly, watching the coins clatter together as he gripped his cards, with a laugh.
"So I'm surprised..this was my kingdom at one time too..raised here my whole life." He put his hands behind his head, leaning back, "So it's an honor to meet such a prestigious Knight. I was simply a trained special unit here. Then restationed in Chalbys, where I was put into ...well our own personal naval guard. To say the least, we've had our share of blood. Almost too much."
Aya then heard the name, smiling. "Ah. The Lady. She's a very mysterious, albeit, amazing leader. You have an esteemed job to protect her. I respect your vow." He continued this bet standoff with Ludro, looking up to Akuma.

Akuma nodded slightly "I have only met her Lady on a few occasions and I was honoured with each" he looked across at Ludro then back to Aya with a small smirk "I owe her and my position an awful lot, I believe that Captain Gamblington here would say the same" he looked across at Ludro with an 'I-Know-Your-Secret' look

"Heh, she is a nice lady. She is her kingdom." he said as he tossed 2 coins in. He then burned a card, and flipped it. It was an ace of clubs, and Ludro looked at Aya, and said, "Will you bet, call or fold?"

"Your lady is very honorable in my eyes for sure." He said softly, when he saw the card flip.
Ayalan looked up at Ludro with a nod, pondering the current card count.
He let Akuma slip his mind, for only a moment, and said, "Mr. Gamblington. I will call." He tossed in the necessary coins, folding his hands, and looking over. Aya placed his hand face up in the order that he had recieved his cards: In total, it read as both a possible pair, and a flush, either a pair of fives, or a 2, 7, queen, king, and ace of clubs. All in a row. The luck of the clubs was astonishing, whether he lost or not.
"Your hand?"

"Ah, tonight is must be your lucky night, I only had 3 5's." He flipped over his cards, and grinned. "What a wonderful hand, Shall we play another hand?" He said as he gathered his cards back and started to shuffle them once more.

Ayalan smiled, nodding toward Ludro.
"When us men have nothing to lose, even a game of poker can be thrilling." He placed in his minimum bid, grinning at the dealer.
"I'd be delighted for another hand. Win or lose, it's been something else. You've boosted my spirits. I thank you." This really was all Aya needed: Even if he lost the rest of the night, to get an impossible odd from a hand like that made him feel that tomorrow was possible: Life really was like a game of cards. You gotta go all in, before you lose your chance and it passes you by in an instant.

Akuma watched as Aya won the hand and gave a brief nod it seems that the lifestyle of going all in worked, he turned his gaze to Ludro before back to Aya "You have the essence of a man used to being alone" he said raising an eyebrow "I take it that you are a mercenary?" he just needed to draw him out into revealing he worked with the boy, then he could get to work.

Ayalan smirked to himself, nodding softly.
"You are indeed right, unless you're talking about certain resistances." Aya figured Akuma had heard word of his own five member resistance now, cracking his own neck, awaiting the next deal.
"I will always fight with people that believe in the same ideals I do.".

"Indeed... I believed your name sounded somewhat familiar" he gave a dark grin behind the necktie covering his lower jaw as his eyes darted around suspiciously, he could not feel the energy of anyone else significant other than the three of them "2 Former Heroes, 2 Former Saints and then their is you Mr Invargas, the little odd one out it seems" he rested his hands on the table "But it is not you that interests me, I can read your personal demons like a book, but it is the boy's which evades me, it clings to him like a lifeline and lends him it's strength while he gives it safe-haven" He narrowed those blood red eyes as he looked across at Aya "Yet my efforts have taught me little to the point I believe now that this is not a simple demon this is something much more complex, would you care to know what plagues little Roxa Aya?" He asked his eyebrow raised and his voice calm.

Ludro just sat and listen as he passed out the cards out, getting some information about a knight and the mercenary.

Ayalan looked at his cards as Akuma talked through his whole speech: The intimidation wasn't close, as he cleared his throat for a moment, spotting his cards: An ace of spades, and a 9 of hearts. How random and rather bad for his own sake.
He threw in three coins, motioning a bet, before he looked over to Akuma.
"What if i said that I wouldn't care? Personally, you're right. I AM the odd one out in my group, and I killed my wife in war, my best friend is a demonic puppet, and I may die tomorrow." He said it under hushed words, but still, only Ludro at best could hear it. "You may be interested, and if that is so. Go ask him yourself." He smiled at the red eyed man, and folded his arms.
"Let's say you're right. Then what? What happens next for you?"
