Rous grinned even wider.
"They will once they see you're dead, friend."
And with that, he kicked up hard at Ludro's arm to attempt to at least startle him enough to disarm him of his kusarigama.

The Kusarigama was fling out of his hand and then got stuck into the wall. "Did you forget? I have another one!" He said as he pulled it out and swung down with it, still keeping what was in the other hand still a secret.

Rous rolled his eyes and quickly whipped out his sword; he wasn't scared of a Kusarigama, if anything he'd let Ludro use the weapon to snatch his sword out of his hand and during the process, he'd disarm Ludro as well.
And that would leave himself and Gamblington with nothing but fist-to-fist combat, which Rous knew only too well that Captain Gamblington was exceptionally bad at, having his specialities reside in distance-fighting.
He grinned as he took the swing without a single word leaving his mouth. Of course, with this plan formed in his head he hadn't actually thought of what could have been hiding in Ludro's other hand.
But leave it at that, the truly 'evil' (and the truly stupid) never think about stuff like that.

As Rous' sword and Ludro's Kusarigama flew away from them. "Rous, there is a reason that I was glad that you were gone. The only good thing you could ever do was to train soldiers. I was picked because I could read the enemies plans." He brought his other hand to his side. "Pick a card!" His Cards flew from his hands and started to attack Rous.

"And I was properly appointed captain because unlike Mouth, I know how to kill the captain and make sure he stays dead!" Rous lunged forward with a fury of punches and swipes at Ludro, however moving too fast to even see the cards come at him until the last moment. They launched forward, cutting up his face and arms and with a roar of anger he whirled himself around and gave a heavy kick to Ludro's mid-section.

Ludro was slammed into the wall. He fired more cards at him. " Your Anger will not help you!" he said, as his cards formed blades in his hands and then he swung down at him.

Rous dived out of the way and rolled a few ways before he leaped to his feet. He then whirled himself around again, suddenly firing a handful of knives directly at Ludro's head.

Ludro expanded a card to block most of the knifes, two cut him on the cheek. "Blake, did you know I discovered something about these cards? If the get too big." He said as his cards broke up in to more cards "They can reproduce into more cards." He launched all of his cards at Blake.

"Well, that's just fantastic," Rous snapped as he took the hit from the cards, his whole body spurting blood as they sliced bits and pieces of him up, "you were always such a little kid, playing with your little toys rather than being a real man."
In the midst of all of the cutting, he drew a second sword from his side, slashing away at the cards that flew into him and sending them off in all directions. The captain, Rous, still had a lot of mouth left in him, but his life was draining quick as the blood that came from his multiple wounds poured down his body.

"My Toy. At least I have something." He said as walked him, drawing all of his cards back into a deck. "You, however, do not even have a life. You will not die as a captain, but as a worthless man. You will not die by my cards either, like so many other WORTHY opponents have." He picked up his swords and placed them at his neck "Any last words?" He asked "Keep them to yourself." Right there, he finished Blake Rous, placing the body in the already made coffin.

Even if Rous had any last words, he wasn't going to share them with Ludro. He took his death and the body fell to the floor in a bloody heap, and never was the man of Blake Rous ever going to walk the ground of Crepusculum ever again.
When Ludro found Lana in the guard room, she sat with her head down, tucked in between her knees and she shook her head. This was probably one of the most embarrassing moments in her life, she couldn't believe she had to cling and ask for Ludro's help.
"I'm a failure..." she mumbled, every word filled with disgust for herself.

"Hey, A failure in my book, is someone that can not hold a single cup of wine." He said "There is a reason you replaced him, you were better than him. Now come on, and go to bed."

Lana smiled up at Ludro and shook her head. She chuckled at the thought of some fool actually getting dizzy and drunk off of a single glass of wine, and she walked back to her bedroom with him before saying "thank you" once more for the night.
As she stepped into her bedroom this time, though, she closed the door and immediately her face fell. Despite what Ludro said, she felt weak. She couldn't defend herself now, and she couldn't defend herself back then three years ago when she first challenged Rous.
Both times, the man nearly killed her.
She hated feeling like the world could take her down like that. She fought all of these years just to rise above it, to escape the torment and hell, and instead she felt like even after Rous was dead she was still living in it.
This she had to fix. She had to improve, she had to find a way to get better...
She thought of Kouichi, then, and suddenly she started having odd thoughts. Looking around the lavish room, she almost felt like she never belonged here. Maybe she didn't, even after all of her loyal services to the queen. Things were getting too complicated, and it was effing Kouichi's fault, too. Something told her she'd have to confront him, but at the moment she had to worry about her failure as a proper and honourable fighter.
Rous had always been quick with his fists and feet, and that was how he always got the upperhand on Lana.
It was a crazy thing to do, but she thought she may have known someone who could possibly help her...
And the next morning, without a word, she left to Ignis.
