((Takes place after Trucido's Resurrection, after Intentions Revealed, and before ALL Sumata fights.))
Kevin stood at the base of Shade Mountains, watching the heroes gather amongst themselves, confused, and unsure what would happen now. Profeta was gone. Their leader, their messiah, gone. The one force driving them for victory had fallen apart before their very eyes. So...now what do they do, did...Trucido win?
No... Kevin thought, climbing atop a large rock. Trucido will not win.
"Everyone." He spoke, clearing his throat and speaking louder, "Everyone!"
When he was sure everyone heard him he continued, "I know...you're all scared. Profeta, our leader-"
My love...
"-is gone. But just because she's gone, doesn't mean this war is over. Profeta believed in all of us...until the end." he said, clutching her relic in his hand. "She told us to keep fighting, that there was a way Trucido can be defeated. She laid out one final mission for us...to defeat Trucido and end this war once and for all!"
He held the relic high into the air. "We can win this! We will defeat all of the Sumata and we will free Allorum from Trucido! WE WILL PREVAIL!"
He felt the cheer and roar of encouragement from the heroes as he held Profeta's final gift in the air. Looking at it and smiling. Don't worry babe...your hero is still fighting.
"Everyone...prepare yourselves...for we leave to do battle with the Sumata. I have specific ones I want several of you to fight, but for now...we have some time...spend them wisely."
This was it, he realized, the last moment of peace before the war truly begins.

Ayalan smirked as he simply clapped: He was indeed inspired, watching the relic move in Kevin's hand.
He felt bad, as he clutched his own dagger, nodding to himself, knowing he had to do this for his own life, and his love. He looked aside, knowing she couldn't come to this event of fighting, but he figured, maybe quickly, he would want to spend time with these people: his friends.
He sat down, next to Kevin, and smirked. "Mighty pretty speech man. We've got a lot coming to us. You know something we don't? Cause you're really confident." He smirked.

Kevin regarded Ayalan a bit before he answered, "Honestly man...I'm going on faith."
He nodded his head, "Yeah...my wife always carried faith with her, she had faith in who she chose for heroes and in the missions they carried out. And even though she's gone, if we think back to all our fights...we were always beating Trucido. Even in the battles he walked away in victory, look at it, no, look at him: his Sumata crumbling from the inside. He has more enemies than comrades, in constant alert of betrayal, no one in the Sumata can truly call Trucido a friend."
He paused for a minute, looking at Profeta's relic and nodding, "Profeta though...she was everyone's friend. I almost think even the Sumata trusted her more than they trusted their leader. The Sumata are strong...but we have numbers and we have the resolve. Even if we can't defeat all of them today, the battles won't matter in the end...as long as we win the war."
He then turned to Ayalan and summed it up, "I'm confident in all of us, I have faith in all of you...as my wife did too."

Tidus stood among the crowd of heroes, stretching his legs and focused on keeping himself limber. This is it huh...the final chapter of this story is coming to a close. he thought, he couldn't help but think of his friends: Wakka, Lulu, Rikku, Kimarhi, Auron, and of course Yuna...and how he really missed her. He wondered, as he continued stretching, if she missed him at all.
Whoa man, keep focused, he shook his head, Can't get distracted. I keep thinking about this and I'll get distracted from my goal, they'll be plenty of time to think about all this once Trucido is gone.

Roxa walked up to Aya and Kevin with a smile on his face and slowly clapping before laying his arms by his sides and looking between the two men "I feel somewhat left out yet involved all the same" he said sitting beside Aya "Profeta never really met me or any of the Saints so I cannot say I knew her, yet she and all of you other heroes accepted us all the same" His hand briefly touched Sonorcs dagger "She was a person of trust and the best person to lead such a force" he looked around at all of the heroes "She may be gone Kevin but she has left us all a brilliant gift, she has given everyone here a sense of hope and a path to tread"

Jasmine weaved in and around the crowd of people. She listened to Kevin speak his brave words and her heart plummeted into her stomach.
She wasn't sure what was going to happen, though she felt sick. Everyone she'd ever known was going into this. It was hard to believe that last year she was at home with her mother, waking up early in the morning to tend to guests staying with them and baking. They did their chores, she wandered off by the lake (and occasionally the mountains) to read and study all afternoon, she helped her mother with dinner later. They'd clean up, go to bed with lanterns on, and then wake again to repeat the whole day.
Since then her entire life had changed. Her mother was dead, the house gone. Her father was alive. Her grandmother pushed for her to become a twilight priestess/mage...thing.
Jasmine swallowed the lump in her throat. She didn't know who was going to be alive after all of this and who wasn't, she was deathly afraid of losing more people in her life. She let her thoughts wander and she stood looking uncomfortable, her hands fidgeting with the strap of her bag--something she'd stopped doing for awhile.

Ayalan smiled at Kevin, and nodded, "You've gotta go through with this for her most of all." He patted his shoulder, knowing the pain of losing a wife for sure, and then he looked across to Roxa.
"You didn't need to know Profeta..I think her essence just..always kinda guided you the right way. I mean..she was just someone who contracted me when I started, but since then, I've become less a mercenary, and more a ..well a friend.
He smirked to himself, and looked up at the crowd: the faces were definitely mixed, at least emotionally, and he half smirked. "You know..Trucido's gonna be pretty tough to beat. I suppose you have a plan as far as that goes."

Kevin nodded, "Trucido recovered his power and status as an Angel. or ArchAngel. It's been thousands of years since Trucido's previous status was brought up."
He rubbed his chin, "I can't say I can find a weakness from afar, I need to be facing Trucido himself to get a read out of his strength. Honestly though, Mark Fri stands a stronger chance of facing him directly head on. For beings like you and I? We need be smart, we can't take him on head on. Don't worry. I'll find a way, no one is truly invincible."

"Jas..." Andy spoke, his body wrapped in bandages from the fight with his Other. The battle weighing on his mind, as well as everything else he learned during it. Things he haven't told her yet...but things he should, soon.
"Are you okay?"

Jasmine heard Andy's voice and her cheeks suddenly felt hot. Her hands gripped the strap of her bag and she tried not to look at him as she replied.
"I...I think so. Just scared is all," her words were short, just as her voice was quiet. What was it her father had said not too long ago, about being brave? Despite her words and all, she fought so hard with her body to try to show she was ready for what was to come.

Ayalan looked at Kevin and smiled. "I made her a promise, you know, in that I would help take Trucido down." Aya sighed, and shook his head, pulling out a gold coin, and giving it a flip.
"I never break a promise either." He looked at Roxa and Kevin, but smiled to himself, and caught the coin, walking to the rock's edges, and staring out at the openness of the forest.
Ayalan had a lot on his mind, many problems to deal with and many people to confront, talk to, but he couldn't find the energy for any of it. Instead, he just wanted to face Trucido and the Sumata and end this all, go back home to Nia, just relax again. Instead, she was at home, probably worrying for him, and probably wondering where Malice was, finding her free time with Alessia.
Aya could only hope that everyone here would understand his problems as is: because vene thinking about it was too hard for him.

Tempest sat down by the group around Kevin. He overheard the conversation, and had to act. "Hey, Kevin was it?" Tempest stood up and held out his hand. "I've only actually met Profeta only once... but for some reason, it was like I've known her my whole life. Did she have that effect on everyone?"

Kevin shook Tempest's hand and smiled, "My wife was the way...she just had that effect on people, like a warm memory: you only had it once, but it stays with you your whole life."
He put his hands on his chin and smiled a bit, "Once...some million years ago, I took my wife to visit my old home country, in Unda. We spent a day or two at the beaches before we had to go back to the caves. Before we left though my wife wanted to stop by a small seashell stand for some souvenirs. She ended up paying the old man ten times the money of the actual price and refused to take back change. A random act of kindness. Well, I took her back out to Unda a couple hundred years later and when we passed by the place where the stand was we found it had become a large market of seashells. The owner told us of a story of how his great grandfather was blessed with receiving a large amount of money and kindness from a beautiful woman."
He stopped a bit, fighting the choked up feeling in his throat. "She was always selfless like that...everywhere we went, with everyone we befriended..."

Andy sat down next to Jasmine, his hands resting on his knees as he looked at her. "I'm a little nervous too actually."
Andy knew he'd have to tell her about what he learned from Griever, but he wanted to see how she was feeling. But he knew if he couldn't tell her now, he'd never get to. "I...when I was fighting my Other...I...I talked to...I talked to Griever."

Miri sat, watching everyone, lost in her own thoughts, tears rolling down her cheeks. She looked up at Kevin.
"I met her.... maybe once. Not for very long, but once. She was everything that was light, and good. She was the protector of this place. And now, she's.... gone. WHy? Why did this have to happen?"
She should have known better than to rail against fate, but someone who had lost so much didn't deserve to be fated to give up everything she had left and die for a stupid war caused by her own blood. No one should have to go through that.
