Didn't see a thread like this, so I figured I might as well make one. What music do you listen to when you post on the forums? What song are you listening to as you read this message? This topic is just for posting what you're listening to so you can share it with the rest of us. I'm curious about everyone's musical tastes, so... share!

It very well depends on what I feel like listening to and what I'm doing, honestly =p I have a growing playlist specifically for CR when I want to get posts moving - when I transferred laptops though for some reason I managed to lose a lot of my playlists, I'm in the process of trying to rebuild a lot of them yet. Lately when writing I've been listening to Eminem. Usually when I'm drawing I'll listen to Enigma, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Sarah Brightman, and a few others that are similar enough to each other in that field. Lots of other times (while drawing) I'm listening to Vivaldi, Mozart, Bach, Chopin, Handel, etc. I don't have a lot of CDs of it but I quite enjoy Baroque period music. Mostly it's remix songs from www.ocremix.org. For November mostly as I've been heavily preoccupied with NaNoWriMo I have a specific playlist that I've set up for that which includes but isn't limited to: Saiko - Chrono Trigger Crying Mountain OC ReMix Suzumebachi - Chrono Trigger Forever OC ReMix Gux - Mega Man 3 Wily Metal OC ReMix Usher - DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again Ft Pitbull djpretzel - Tetris Slavic Roots OC ReMix GrayLightning, Rexy - Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Time's Anxiety OC ReMix P!nk - Raise Your Glass Nickelback - If Everyone Cared My playlists are pretty varied and I have several ideas as to why I choose certain songs to throw in a playlist. Right NOW I'm listening to the above playlist I gave examples from, seeing as how I have a NaNo to catch up on.

..Like. REALLY.
I always listen to the entire Kirby Soundtrack medley, that's like, 40 minutes long in total.
I have. No life. XD;

If I'm doing Rping at all and I feel like putting music on, I need something subtle and ambient. Or at least without lyrics if it isn't either of those. So right now I find myself listening to a few Anime OSTs, such as Cowboy Bebop, Fate/Stay Night, some FLCL, Nodame Cantabile, and Xenosage: the Animation.
If I'm not in a J-pop mood, then I love me anything electronique or funk. Jamiroquai's "Travelling Without Moving" album is awesome. Kruder & Dorfmeister's stuff, DJ Shadow and Brazilification are always cool too.
Everything else I listen to is way too distracting to write to.

When I rp -on this board- I tend to listen to RED, anything by Yoko Shimomura, some music from Star Ocean 4, and some Sonic tunes.

I WISH I had the X:TA soundtrack. That was an AMAZING show with AMAZING music.
But, hmmm..... I generally listen to whatever strikes my fancy that day, which generally is either driving rock/alternative (because I can never seem to figure out what counts as which anymore, so I'll just list my favorties of both) like Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, or there's an indie rock band I'm really into called Eyeshine, or JPop/Rock and/or other foreing music, or country, or... just about anything really. Just what strikes my fancy and mood.
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of filk, which is "folk" style music written for the fantasy/sci-fi community. If you like that kind of stuff, I reccommend the album "Thirteen" by Vixy and Tony, or "Shadowbeast" by Escape Key. The Leslie Fish stuff from the '80's is also good, and I'm really annoyed that because of political issues, she can't get her "CHickasaw Mountain" album re-released. More traditional folk-style music that I listen to includes Gordon Lightfoot ad Dan Fogelberg, and I also listen to Celtic folk by Golden Bough.
Yeah... I listen to everything. And I also go cruising my friends' AMVs, too, so I'm never without something to listen to if I really want to.

....someone needs to resurrect this thread. Therefore here's some food for thought: I'm going on a massive A7X binge right now, and I find I like a lot more of them than I thought. Still, they're kinda hit-and-miss with me. This particular song, "Save Me", is really interesting. It's not my absolute favorite song by them, but it's pretty good.... plus, several lines from the song, and the more melodic parts of the music, remind me of Vash. Here's the song lyrics, for those interested. Edit: This one, too. Although some of the lyrics there don't fit. I also like it a lot better than "Save Me", but that's just a personal preference. This sounds to me like Vash's inner voice speaking... Edit 2: ......Wow, another song that reminds me of CR! And a very pretty one, too. I seem to like a bunch of the songs from this album... This one's called "Victim", it reminds me of Profeta's death, like... the Heroes' song or something. Probably beause I reread "Eulogy" the other day. *shrug* Here are the lyrics.

I AM CONTINUING THIS.
Currently listening to 'Monarchy of Roses' by Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I'm also having a MASSIVE Frank Turner phase.
Seriously guys. Go check him out. Best lyricist of the decade if you ask me! :3

XDDDD
Currently, while I'm working, I listen to OSTs like the .hack//SIGN OST (which has won awards) and the Dennou Coil OST. Moises Nieto, on YT as HollowRiku, also has some amazingly relaxing piano albums out on iTunes, those are neat, and of course, Poets of the Fall's newest :3 I'd recommend anyone check ANY of them out.
