Sing the Song of Deception (Plot Thread 5.2)

[Amadeus DiZagin]

Amadeus glared at Kurai, as he got matter as he heard the word, 'Moons'. "I am doing the work for the TRUE MOON, KETULUNA! I WILL GET HER BACK, AND FULFILL OUR JOB." Amadeus' arm was completely covered in shadow, and he ran towards Kurai. He swung the wires at Kurai at nearly every direction. Amadeus smiled as he thought there was no escape for him, and that he was done for.

[Cyrus Crescent]

At the moment both men charged for each other a stream of darkened energy shot for them.

"Too easy," Cyrus smirked, having bat off Andy Jammer for awhile. "Two birds with one stone, next our 'beloved' Claire shall pay the price for her decisions."

The old man smiled, "I will be the Priest of Ketuluna, not some brat!"


Juno who was on the edge of the battle had ran forward, "No!"

She ran to the two men as the stream of darkness swam to them, as it was about to over take them a bright light emitted. Juno's body glowed with radiance as it created a field, protecting Amadeus and Kurai.

"What...what is that?!" Cyrus yelled, looking at Juno. "Where is that light!? How is she...no..."

He was attendant to the Ketuluna Religion for a long time, he knew all the signs...all the spells...it made sense to him why Claire kept her around, was so kind to her, but he couldn't believe it...

...that Juno was actually the Priestess all along.

[Vash, the Angel's Moon]

I had already leapt to my feet, but Juno reached the two of them first; I stopped and stared as she glowed with all-too-familiar a light.

"Mothers?" I whispered, watching her with wonder and awe, feeling the Lunar energy in the room skyrocket. Was it possible? Was Juna a priestess of Ketu and Luna? But then... why hadn't I felt anything from her before? Why hadn't she said anything, when we discovered whose side she had been on?

Too many unanswered questions, but for right now, they didn't matter at all.

A smile spread across my face.

You work in mysterious ways, Mothers, I thought to myself. This promises to be an interesting show...

[Kurai Horo]

Kurai grimaced as Amadeus fired his wires towards him, and his face registered even more shock as Cyrus directed an attack towards the man whom Kurai thought was his ally. When Juno effectively saved both of them, he looked across at Amadeus, remembering he still had to dodge these wires... Or did he? The wires struck at Kurai, cutting and slicing him in several places, severing most of his hair and shredding his outfit, but then... He disappeared in a puff of smoke. He had been a shadow clone.

The real Kurai stepped towards the edge of the building he had opened his tenth gate upon, opening all ten gates had given him access to so much energy he had been able to make the most life-like clone possible. Another Kurai stood next to him, both were charging a Hurricane Slice in their hands, the clone in it's left, the real Kurai in his right. "Amadeus!" he called, his red and white eyes squinted into a frown, both clones spoke together at the same time. "Your own ally has turned against you,. You are alone. Give up now, or face the wrath of Zephyr." The clone took a step closer to the real Kurai.

[Amadeus DiZagin]

Amadeus shouted, "JUNO!". He didn't care that his wires cut up a clone. I am suppose to protect you, not the other way around... Amadeus looked up at Kurai and said, "I already knew that, so I will kill him, and you and everyone else! I am going to protect Juno from the tainted souls. I fight for Juno, and Ketuluna, their will gives me strength." His right arm was now black, as you could hear an ominous, but almost calming note coming from it. He cocked back his arm, "This is it! FINAL NOTE OF YOUR REQUIEM! DARK NOTE OF THE MOON!"

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

Right behind Cyrus, there was a thin crack being made out of the thin air. Then it was shattered to make a large hole. Volkmar Gamlxltoe hopped out, wearing bandages over his right arm, but everything else was normal. As he was in mid air, he swung his sword down, while shouting , "CYRUS!" Creating a massive explosion near Cyrus, and making a shock-wave.

[Amadeus DiZagin]

"What?!" Amadeus said, as the shockwave threw off his aim, and so when he swung his fist, it was off of his target by a bit, but not way off. "Dammit!" He said, he quickly tried to charge another punch into his good arm.

[Kurai Horo]

Kurai sighed, it seemed his opponent could not be made to see reason. Looking across to his clone, he nodded and they took a step closer towards one another. With his Sharingan, Kurai had seen that the charged shot would miss so he needn't worry about that. The pair touched their Hurricane Slices together, and they formed one huge sphere, the clone then stepped inside the proper Kurai, leaving him stood there with the huge energy sphere. His white outline of aura faded from him and into the sphere. It was time for his final attack, his last resort, his lunar move.

"ENOUGH!" he roared, leaping from the building, huge sphere held in both hands he rushed towards Amadeus "Gale Force Strike!" he roared, thrusting his palms, and the Gale Force, right towards Amadeus' chest. It was his strongest technique, a sphere within which was the power of a gale force storm plus his lunar energy, add that on top of the fact it's strength is ten times that of what it should be due to his gates being open.

He pitied his opponent...

[Amadeus DiZagin]

Amadeus eye's widen as the technique hit him. It threw him around the building he was on, and smacked him against rocks and debris. He was then shot out, and landed close to the heroes on his back. His armor on his left arm had shattered, revealing his burnt arm. His leg was probably broken, but that didn't stop him from trying to get up. He used his arms to stick his chest and head up, but then a piece of metal fell from the move and impaled on the side of his gut. He fell back down.
"AUGH!" He shouted to the pain, "Why... KETULUNA! THIS WAS ALL FOR YOU! YOUR GIFT OF LUNAR LIGHT, WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG!?" His good hand was reaching for the moon.

[Xïza Tyrmond]

"Because Lunar light is not Ketuluna's gift." Xiza said to him as he looked at him, "You fought for her name, but you didn't acknowledge her true gift, and so you must face the punishment for someone who has. Only those who know her gift, can truly call themselves a child of Ketuluna."
Xiza looked over at Volk, and Tidus who had made it out of the dark realm. "...Looks like he is a knight now." He said to himself, with no emotions.

[Kurai Horo]

Kurai limped towards the group, he clutched at the arm that had held what originally had been his Hurricane Slice and then the Gale Force. His lunar aura had dispersed and his eyes where back to how they usually were, his left scarred and red with the three black dots around the iris, and his right it's usual brown color. His head throbbed with the pain of a thousand blows to the head and his body was at it's limits, walking towards the group he leaned down and picked up his weighted jacket from the small crater that it had made when he shrugged it off. Smiling behind his mask, he pulled it onto his shoulders.

It felt heavier than usual, due to his weakened state but he knew that it would only make him stronger when he would next have to take it off. Looking across at the wounded Amadeus, he saw Xiza speaking to him and simply shook his head. If only Amadeus had listened to him and surrendered, he was naught but a ruin now. Looking up to the moons he nodded as if to some silent companion who had been beside him the whole fight. "Thank you Zephyr..." he whispered before smiling, and collapsing to the floor. Exhausted.

[Amadeus DiZagin]

Amadeus looked at the man who was talking to him. He didn't know who he was, but he could feel Ketuluna's presence very strong with him. "You know what you talk about, but you are my enemy." He said, as he started to sink into his shadow. He looked over at Juno, "Juno... You are going to need to find a new guardian for you. I have failed you." He then vanished into his shadow.

[Vash, the Angel's Moon]

I knelt next to Kurai, smiling.

"You wore yourself out, Brother," I said quietly. "Trying to be a hero, huh?" I shook my head. "Let me take it from here."

I stood, positioning myself between him and Cyrus.

[Kurai Horo]

Kurai looked up at Vash and nodded "Go get 'im..." he muttered "... Brother..." With that he sighed and placed his head against the floor and looked up to the top of the station when he heard a melancholy tune playing throughout the station, on what sounded like an organ before it eventually drifted off.

Kurai let out another sigh. It was at that point that he realized he had won his battle.

[Juno Runè]

"AMADEUS!" Juno screamed, running over to him as he was sinking, "Why?! Why didn't you just come with us?! There was so much...so much for you to see, for Claire to see!"

As Amadeus faded into his shadow Juno buried her face in her hands, "We were wrong about them...the Alloruiams...we were wrong, I wanted...I wanted you to see what I see, maybe this would be over..."


Cyrus looked at Juno with shock and anger, he did not see this coming...if he had known he'd dethrone Claire ages ago, she wasn't the true priestess like her parents...it was this little orphan Claire took in after the near genocide. The plague that ravaged them all...

"Don't worry dear Juno, you'll join Amadeus." He raised his hand to attack when Volkmar's yell drew his attention. Andy, who had made his way back into the battle was about to attack as well.

"Met-"

"BLITZ CANNON!"

A powerful Blitzball strike combined with Volkmar's attack and sent Cyrus flying back. Tidus landed on the ground, the arm cannon smoking at the barrel.

"Go, you have to go after Eli!" Tidus said.

"Eli? Why?"

"Roxa! Where's Roxa!" Kevin came running up the steps, very hurried and very frantic sounding.
