And the Moon never shined... (Plot Thread 4.3)

[Andy Jammer]

Claire dodged Andy's "Hurricane Kick" and leaped back, jabbing at him with her sword he used his armored gloves to block them.

Thank you again, Allison, Andy thought about the late doctor Allison and quickly struck, landing two punches and his third landing on her chin as he lifted her in the air.

"Shoryuken!" he yelled, sailing upward in the air.

Claire landed on her back, but recovered well, wiping the blood on her chin she charged at again. Feinting a blow and cutting Andy's upper torso as he landed, Andy yelled out and snapped a high kick. She dodged it but as she leaped back Andy followed it up by shooting a bright, large, blue fireball.

"Hadoken!" he yelled as it fired, Claire tried to use her sword to cut it but the knockback energy couldn't be blocked.

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

Volkmar roared as Yuna cracked his armor on the side. He then turn and bolted to Yuna, covering his scythe in his aura, making it larger, and the swung it right at Yuna's side, as he continue to produce his ungodly roar. A black ball was being produced from his back, and formed a giant hand like before, and swung down at Vash.

[Yuna Kaname]

Surprised by the speed of the attack, Yuna was caught off-guard and thrown backwards; she crashed against the ground.

[Vash, the Angel's Moon]

Volkmar's fist slammed into me; even though I was half-expecting it, my reactions still weren't as they should be. I flew backwards, not quite managing to stabilize myself before I crashed into the ground as well.

Grunting, I stood up, taking aim again.

[Alessia]

Alessia watched as everything went bad FAST, between Volkmar, these monsters, and Seth seemly betraying. It didn't seem like it could get any worse... she decided not to think about it and instead help the others.

She began to charge up her solar energy, using short burst of powerful light energy the monsters were blown away. More came, that's until Kurai basically wiped out all of the monster with one blow.

That was impressive.., Alessia thought as she made her way through the battlefield, Andy was battling Claire and Eli and Kurai was battling Seth. She raised his her hand to fire at Claire when she stopped. Alessia was getting low on solar energy and she hadn't been in the sun for awhile, if she used anymore of it she would surely faint.

She probably looked like it too, she was getting very tired with the low amount of energy.

"Ah..." She frowned, "Looks like I can not help you all..." She sighed while taking a step away from the heat of the battle, making sure to not get in the way of the others.

[King Roxa Hiaten]

Roxa reacted quickly, leaping forwards he positioned himself between Alessia and the fighting. He wasn't risking anything, especially not when he had come so close to losing her when Ave had been in control for so long.

"You okay?" he asked looking over his shoulder at her with a smile as he took a defensive stance, his sapphire blue eyes scanning around for any potential threats. A ball of energy stored around his fist just in case.

[Alessia]

She smiled back at him, "Just a little low on energy." She hated the idea of being a burden on Roxa, she shook her head and said, "Roxa, you need to go help the others. I'll be fine."

She waved her hands for him to go.

[King Roxa Hiaten]

Roxa nodded before sheathing one of his swords. Reaching into his overcoat he pulled out a small bundle and unwrapped a short blade. Placing the hilt of Sonorc's dagger into her hand he gave it a small squeeze and flashed her a smile.

"Be careful, okay?" he said as he moved back into the fray. Noting that Eli was being helped by one of the other Lunar Knights, he decided that it was their fight, as was the one between Volk and his friends. So, he moved towards Andy, who was fighting Claire, with both swords drawn.

"Andy!" he yelled as he jumped to the heroes side and took a defensive stance, both swords held in front of him, ready to block any incoming attacks.

"All the other fights were taken, so I thought I'd join yours!"

[Eli Ventus]

Andy looked at Roxa and nodded, "Yeah...you know what, this is the first time we fought side by side since my Inner Evil broke out last year."

He stanced himself, "Got any new moves to show me Sairen?"



Eli continued to charge at Seth, forcing the Lunar Knight to be on his guard. But he kept pulling his attacks back because he didn't want to kill Eli, but noticeably, a moment he could have taken to stab Kurai he ignored. That only proved to Eli that he was on the right path.

"Seth! I know something happened to my father, and you were involved, but I don't hate you for it!" he yelled, swinging combos at him.

"What would you know?!" Seth roared, using magic to shove Eli back. "Everything died that day! A good man, dreams for the future with Allorumiams and Ketulunains all cause of my mistake! So don't tell me it's okay!"

"That can change Seth!" Eli said, throwing his blade at him and moving quick to pick it up. "We can change it here and now!"

"Should have been here ten years ago kid," Seth snapped at him, pulling out his Lunar Weapon, the water in the ground began to bend and shoot out all around them.

[Leah Hart]

A straggler monster that survived Kurai's attack lunged at Alessia, who down...until a sharp round object spun in and cut it apart. Leah ran up, spiked yoyo in hand.

"Hahah, who wants some!" she taunted, her eyes widening a bit as more came out...but she grinned. "Nehehe, bring it on!!"

[King Roxa Hiaten]

Roxa smiled at Andy and tightened his grip on the two blades in his hands "Oh you bet I do!" he growled as he channeled his magic into the weapons and with a roar they transformed into glowing blue greatswords. The same weapons he's used to help defeat Grey more than a year ago. But he'd mastered the form now, he had perfect control.

"But the question is..." he pondered as he took an offensive stance now instead, preparing to attack rather than defend "Have you got anything for me, Jammer?!" as the air pressure directly around Roxa tightened, ready to be used either as a shield or even as a weapon.

[Navarre]

Navarre was swinging his sword around, but it was still stuck in it's sheath, making a nice club. "Alright, I think I am getting a hang of this..." He said to himself as he jumped near Leah, preparing for another monster.

[Volkmar Gamlxltoe]

Volkmar roared as he turned around, and zoomed over towards Vash, and swung down his scythe down at Vash back, with the aura still covering it.

[Vash, the Angel's Moon]

I grunted, having just barely got my cross up in time to block the hit, but feeling the strike shock through me, even past the defenses of my weapon.

"Gods dammit!" I muttered, glaring up at him, slicing out with a wave of Lunar. "Why won't you just give up already, Volkmar?! I'm tired of this! I don't want to fight you!"

With the way things were going, I'd have to draw on more of my power than I already was. Even without my limiters, I knew I was holding back, not going at it at full strength.

And then....

There was the... other attack. But I would only use that if I had no other choice. I didn't want them all to see.... didn't want to confront them with the undeniable proof that that would be. And I definitely did not want to kill Volkmar - and I was afraid that that was exactly what I would do.

So I hoped, and prayed to every listening god, and to Mothers, that I wouldn't have to.

Whatever help Sayara was summoning had better come soon.

[Tidus]

Tidus flipped to his feet and ran for Volk, who was busy with Vash. He leaped in the air and brought both blades down in an X-shape attack.
