"Hm?" Roxa turned to Kevin whom he admittedly not spoken to a great deal over the past year. But then he heard him mention Eli and he peaked his interest "Yeah sure..." he muttered, walking a small distance from the others so as to give them a bit of privacy "So, what is it?"

Once he pulled him aside he pulled out some parchments in his hand. "I did two things, first with a little help of time magic I was able to confirm Eli's background...you share the same mother somewhere down his line."
He paused before continuing, "But there's something...a little more disturbing than that. About nearly a year or two ago, there was a point where Eli was called himself...well, you."

Roxa frowned, he had already established that Eli's family stemmed off from his own somewhere down the line. He'd come to terms with that, but what was all this about him claming to be Roxa? "Wait what? He called himself, by my name? Why?" he was full of questions all the while trying to piece things together, a year ago the Saints had just been released from captivity in the seal, coul that have had something to do with all of this?

Kevin unrolled the parchment and said, "This was written by a doctor who worked in Crepusculum, Eli was his patient at the time." -" Roxa Sairen (Piano Version)" He began to read out: "I had a rather unusual visit today, a single mother named Marian Ventus-Harvey and her son Eli came to my doorstep. She explained to me her son had been missing for a full night and when he returned he wasn't himself, I was busy helping patients from the attack of the strange people: the ones calling themselves Saints, but something drew me to this case. I sat the boy down and we had a talk, the first and foremost thing he told me that was fascinating was his name: he was calling himself 'Roxa Sairen'.
Fascinated, I asked more and more, the boy told me about his 'life': about how his parents were killed by bandits and how he hunted them down and killed them. He later began to describe about how he joined a group of guardians called, shockingly, the Saints. Could he be related to the group that the Heroes of Profeta fought today? I must find out more..."Kevin paused as he switched parchments, "This next one happened within the same week." "I requested permission to stay over the night at the place of Ventus-Harvey and discovered something interesting. That night as I was turning in I could hear the boy call out in his sleep, he was calling for someone named "Eva". I did not wake him yet, I waited for his dream to continue. The boy seemed to be living the supposed 'memory' of when his family was killed, but what struck me as the most curious thing is that it seems as he was dreaming he was an observer. He wasn't calling himself 'Roxa Sairen' anymore, in fact he was calling out his name, calling for him to 'come back' and not to 'leave me behind'! Calling for Roxa for him to take him, so he wouldn't be left behind with them.
After awhile I woke the boy, he had no memory of the dream and was back to calling himself Roxa Sairen again. It's possible this child is deluded, that he concocted up this fantasy and sunk into it...or it could be something else."Kevin paused again, "there's one more, but I wanna wait. Are you catching up so far?" |

Roxa stared at the parchments, wide-eyed at what he was reading right now. His own mind flashing back to the nightmares that he suffered, the pain and the hatred, everything. He just couldn't possibly believe what was in front of him, there was no way that these could have been made up, it was just too insane to be true
"Read the next one when you can." Ave said bluntly
"Why..." Roxa thought in reply
"Just do it."
Roxa looked across at Kevin "I'm... I'm pretty caught up..."

"Good," Kevin said, "Cause this next one is the most interesting them of all." -" Eli Ventus" "Today something absolutely shocking happened: Eli's personality suddenly did a 180, back to his old personality. This morning he woke up completely normal, even more surprising: he doesn't even remember what he has been calling himself. He has no memory of being called 'Roxa Sairen' or even of this 'Eva' person, anything about the Saints is gone. It's as if the memory has been wiped clean from his brain.
I was no closer to finding an answer to the boy's strange mental condition, however, I found various clues and correlations to what could have caused it:
1. The day Eli started calling himself Roxa is the day the giant light shot in the sky.
2. Shortly after that, a group calling themselves The Saints caused a fight in town only to be halted by the Heroes of Profeta.
3. Old history documents showed that a thousand years ago, there was a group also called Saints and one of their members was a boy named 'Roxa Sairen'. The resemblance of the two of them is near identical. Could they be related?
4. Last, the morning Eli returned to his normal self is the day that large tower that rose crumbled and fell into the ocean. I do not know what happened in the tower, but something about it must have returned Eli's personality...or perhaps it was a coincidence?
Either way, my research is over. The patient is cured and any clues have been lost to me." Once Kevin finished he said, "I traced Eli's location the night you were freed from your seal. Roxa...he was right there. He was at ground zero when you were freed." |

Roxa shook his head "I-" he couldn't really put anything into words right now, the connections that this doctor had made... They made perfect sense when you fitted them in with Roxa's own thoughts on the event, the timing, everything was perfect. But could it really be that the destruction of the tower had 'restored' Eli?
"All will be revealed Roxa..." Ave whispered in his ear.

Seth was listening in, although the other bits of information were uninteresting to him...one part stood out to him.
Ventus-Harvey....Harvey...could...no...no way...
Seth suddenly looked over at the young boy with Juno and he was staring at him with a strange new light.
...it's his son...

"I don't know what all this means." Kevin frowned, "The boy's identity...I'm one hundred percent certain this boy is related to you and not some thing or monster but..."
He paused to look back at him, "How does he know so much...there's something more about him, a more direct connection."

Roxa nodded, he completely agreed that there was a connection. Ave wouldn't be showing nearly so much attention if it were otherwise, but it was just a matter of finding out what the connection was... "Yeah, I agree with you on that one..." he muttered remembering the double-vision and headaches when he first approached Eli, that pounding throbbing feeling that even alarmed Ave and actually tried to talk him away from Eli...

Roxa turned to face Eli and gave him a smile before nodding in his direction. Briefly turning back to Kevin he spoke "We'll talk again later..." Heading back towards Eli and Alessia he tried to look as casual and happy as usual "Shall we get going?" he asked stretching his neck side to side.

Vash's voie came from behind them; the blondewas grinning, and while his hair was out of its perfect spiky order, and there was lots of water left on his coat from where he'd been in snow that had melted, he looked none the worse for wear from his little jaunt up the exploding tower.

"Well, Vash still isn't dead, more good news!" Kurai said as he placed his book in his bag and clapped his hands together once "Now that we know everyone's alive, shouldn't we get moving? Our new little guest here claims to know where the crystal is so I think we should make like a tree and... Nnngggttth" he chuckled to himself "Leave..." he held back more laughter "Ccccctthhh"
