Benjamin stared off into the distance, his gaze settling on ship that sailed off into the distance. He was tired, stress of the job kept him up all night, wondering if every step he took was the right one.
"Am I cut out for this job?" He spoke to himself, doubt overwhelming him for a moment... until he remembered that an entire nation put their trust in him, Roxa, the leader of Kishu trusted him to do the right thing. The moment of doubt had left him, and he ready to return to the capitol... when he heard someone approach from behind.
"Hello, who is there?" He asked, turning around.

"My apologies sir, I did not mean to startle you" came a calm voice from the darkness. The man stepped in to view, he was just over 6ft and had spiky golden hair, the fringe of which was contained behind a fabric headband which had a metal plate showing the symbol of his clan above it, he wore navy blue clothing with an olive green vest covered in pockets. But possibly the most notable feature of his was the two katnas at his waist.

Ben watched the man approach, there was something... different about him, the symbol on his clan was one he did not recognize.
"It's not your fault, I've just been a little on edge lately." Ben spoke, yet he couldn't take his eyes off the symbol, he felt like he recognized it, but couldn't place where he recognized it from.

"Benjamin Harrison, my you've had quite the positive effect on Unda lately, you are being hailed as one of the best leaders ever to grace this nation. What possible reason could you have to be on edge?" Brea smiled warmly at the man before noting his eyes staring up at his headband
"Ah, this." He said untying the headband and letting his fringe fall across his face, he handed it over to Benjamin and pointed out the symbol on the metal plate attached to it.
"Are you familiar with the history of Allorum around the time of Duo?"

He was briefly surprised that he recognized his face, but what more surprised him was that this (what appeared to be) young man asked him if he was aware of Duo's rule.
"I know some, Duo took throne of extremely poor country, and made it the richest, strongest nation in the world... and then proceeded to attack other nations." He handed it back, "What does this symbol have to do with Duo?"

Brea smiled at Benjamin's basic knowledge of Duo, many had actually forgotten what had happened with Duo and the Saints and even more had forgotten about his clan. At least what they actually did, most of it was just bad propaganda and lies spread by Duo that eventually came to be known as truth.
"Did you ever hear of a clan called 'The Itan-Sha' or 'The Heretics' they were a group of sadist swordsmen who despised the gods and plotted to one day kill them"

He thought back to what books he had read, "I seem to remember the name..." The more he thought back, the more he recognized the symbol the young man held.
"And may I ask why you hold their symbol?"

"Because, I am the last of their clan" He said with an air of calm, from the tone of the voice it was fairly obvious that he did not mean to intimidate or scare Benjamin, if anything he wanted the complete opposite effect, to make him feel comfortable and able to talk with Brea.
"But I also wish to make it clear that all you heard about these men and women is outright lies, The Saints were not the only people to stand up against Duo, the Itan-Sha also rebelled against his rule. But their teachings were much more strict, they informed us all that we should renounce our gods, the motto of the clan is 'We worship not the gods. But our blades and our loved ones"

Ben paused for a moment, unable to think of a reply right away.
"Wait," he said once more, "Are you some historian or something? This was over 1000 years ago, how would you know all of this?"

Brea hesitated, he would rarely disclose information about how he has survived over the years but he thought it best to explain anyway.
"Well, when The Saints finally rallied an army to fight Duo they were not alone. Most of the Itan-Sha also fought alongside them, The Saints didn't know of their presence in that specific battle, but when the main army retreated it was the Itan-Sha who tried to persuade them to rejoin the battle, when they were unsuccessful they eventually tried to reinforce the numbers but just as they entered the battle field The Saints were sealed away, unfortunately because we returned to the field of battle some of the Itan-Sha was sealed away as well"
It was now that he really hesitated, he had gone vaguely gone in to how they had survived over the years but if he had always made out he was the only member of the Itan-Sha to have been sealed away.
"I was not the only one sealed away, two more of us were also locked in time. I consider myself however the last of the order, one of us went on to be a Nerezzian knight and the other one... Well, we presume that she is dead"
His hand affectionately reached down at touched the hilt of one of his katanas.

It was a hard thing to believe, but then again, he had met some of the Saints... so it was very possible he was telling the truth.
"So... if you're back as you say, what do you plan on doing?" He questioned the not-so-young-man.

Brea simply shrugged, he had never really thought what he was going to do now that he was free and walking on Allorum again, he had always supposed he should find his comrade and then try and rebuild the Itan-Sha, finding those who have been treated badly by the world and the gods and take them in. But it would be difficult with the current status of the Itan-Sha.
"To put it short, I have no idea. Right now I'm just wandering around as a mercenary, teaching villagers how to defend themselves from bandits for minimum wage, that sort of thing"

He thought for a moment before asking, "Well if you had fought alongside the Saints before, why don't you go find them? I know Roxa has formed a group known as Kishu. Perhaps you should team up with them?"

Brea simply chuckled at the offer, he himself had once contemplated offering his services to Roxa and his little personal army
"I did seriously consider it once, but it would be bad publicity for the Kishu if they were to be seen consorting with me, no, the word is that what he is trying to do is re-establish the Saints, and as much as I would like to help him I do not wish to be a part of someone's personal army yet again. Maybe when people can past my hatred of the Gods and my skill as a swordsman takes priority over my opinions then I might approach him"

"I understand," he nodded, "Well, the world may not know of your sacrifice but I do. And I thank you for the risk that you and your allies took to attempt to stop that horrible man."
