Suddenly Tidus burst out laughing, threatening to fall over and roll on the ground in laughter. He managed to calm down after awhile to explain his sudden laughter fit.
"Shouldn't have invited us Vaan," he said, crossing his arms. "Really? Did you expect him to play nice with you guys? I haven't quite forgiven you yet myself, I'm here for Brad and Volk. But I ain't playing nice with you guys. You guys try your nonsense with my friends, you're going down. And no begging for mercy."
Being with Volk has toughened him up, he realized, the crazy beserker has a way to steeling yourself to face anything with the drive to win.

Vaan chuckled. "I suppose I did set myself up for that. But..." and he sobered, "...I have sworn that nothing will happen to you or your friends while you are under my protection, and the protection of Milady. I'm sorry about what happend, but that's past, now, and we're not doing anything to you. So maybe... you should loosen up a little?"

The swordsman could tell that there was tension in their group. It seemed that there was division in the ranks; The swordsman made a note to keep that fact in mind, as it may end up coming into play later on in the journey. He continued to walk with the others and remained vigilantly alert.  "..." The swordsman heard Volkmar address him and glanced over in his direction.  "...Do you need something?" |

The swordsman gave Volkmar a cold look but did not respond to the warrior's first comment. "..." However, after several moments of silence, the swordsman decided to address Volkmar's speculation on the possibility of being attacked from behind. "...You have a good point. We must stay alert." The swordsman continued to walk with the others, matching their pace as evenly as possible. Getting too far ahead or falling to far behind could be dangerous in conditions such as these... |
