From the distance it was noticeable, the steel hull of the ships glinted from the beating sun as they approached the small nation of Vuoto. The sight was something to behold, the very first Fleet of ship that could sail against the wind, a ship that ran on Mana, these unstoppable beasts controlled the seas around them.
'The Big Blue Fleet' of Unda approached the city port of one of Vuoto's biggest cities, followed by a squad of transport ships they stopped a good distance away from the shore, cannons trained on the port as the rebels Navy scrambled to meet the foe.
"They don't actually think they can stop us, do they?" Benjamin was positioned on the flagship, an imposing beast with cannons the size of the average fishing boat. They had sent a clear message ahead of time proclaiming that they would arrive with aid and protection, clearly, the rebels did not like this plan.
"What should we do sir, they're telling us to turn back," a sailor said as he approached Benjamin and the Admiral.
"Unda's Navy is constrained by its own laws, no country may tell us to leave, especially if it's by a authority we do not recognize," the Admiral began, "Give them one last chance to move aside and then tell all ships to prepare to attack!"
"Yes sir," the sailor nodded, beginning to relay the message through the magic. However, the final decision would rest with Brea, for he had been put in complete charge of the mission. He would decide if it was the right time to fire.

Brea frowned as he received the message "Damn, I was hoping to avoid as much bloodshed as possible... Still, they stand in the way of peace." He turned to the marines that he had with him, he had trained them well these last few weeks, all were armed with crossbows as well as swords much similar to his own to defend themselves, Brea had his normal headband tied around his arm, and instead wore one with Unda's sigil on his forehead.
"Ready all cannons to fire, load the incediarys, aim for their flagship. If we can take down their admiral the others will no doubt scatter. I also want the marines ready to board ships as they sail past to flee."

The two Navies faced each other, a brief silence before Unda's Navy took the first shot. The incendiary rounds shot from Unda's two largest boats, the force of the shot rocked the boat a little bit. The rounds flew through the air, slamming into their wooden foes.
The round clashed through the flagship, completely destroying it within a minute. As predicted, after two more ships fell, the rest began to flee from all sides, some men simply diving into the water and trying to swim back to the port.
"Congratulations, sir," the Admiral looked over at Benjamin, "We just blew Vuoto's Navy to the depths of the sea within five minutes."
Benjamin ran his hand though his hair, using the magical link-up to contact Brea. "This is where it gets hard, Vuoto's known for its fighters. I hope your Marines are ready to fight."

"Oh, we're ready." Brea said with a firm nod as he looked back at his Marines, they were pulling back drawstrings and loading up bolts as they spoke, locking the weapons into place in order to be ready for use. Brea drew one of his swords, the steel one, and ordered that the smaller ships be dropped for their landing. A group of smaller boats were attached to the side of the ship and were swiftly unlatched and dropped into the water before Brea and the Marines climbed down.
Then they set off for the shore, aiming to clear out a space for the relief centre.

'Guo was sat on a mound of salt, with his halberd laid across his lap, looking at the port with a sigh. He had been hoping to set off for his pilgrimage today, but the appearance of Vuotion rebels on the shores had meant that he would need to wait until they dispersed, and that didn't look to be any time soon at all. "Ahhh man..." He huffed with a frown. Then, on the horizon, he heard a crack, and one of the ships near port burst into flames. "WOAH!" 'Guo fell backwards and rolled down the hill of salt at the sound of the cannon shot, before running back up to look at what had happened.
A different group of ships had scattered the Vuotion fleet and now more ships were heading towards the shore, loaded with men by the look of it, and that meant fighting. "Why is it that even on this spit of salt, peace cannot prosper?!" 'Guo mumbled angrily before picking up White Moon Dragon and rushing off towards where the battle was going to take place, he couldn't just let violence invade his land!

I stood back, unsettled as I felt the Vuoto men die, their souls crying out for release as they sped on their way towards Guasto, where they would spend a time waiting for their entrance into the afterlife. I shuddered somewhat.
Why did a mission of peace have to begin with war?

The ships expertedly trained captains managed to avoid most of the traps, with the lesser experienced blindly fumbling forwards, most of the ships made it to shore and dropped their precious cargo. Marines poured out and were instantly swarmed by rebels, dropping into two lines, the first knelt down and then released, the back line fired straight afterwards whilst the first reloaded. As soon as the second volley was shot, the first line stood up and fired whilst the second dropped and reloaded.
Brea stood at the back before pointing a sword forwards "Now! Cut down the rebels, but do not pursue them! We are not here to fight Vuoto's war for them, we need to clear space for the relief centre and that is all!"

"Did I miss anything?" Kurai asked, standing behind Vash with book in hand, he had received the Lunar Spirits message and come as quickly as he possibly could. He had managed to run across the ocean (thanks to converting life energy to his feet, solidifying the water underneath them) and make it to the ships just as the main attack was beginning, he had also managed to do so without having any of Unda's soldiers stab him in the back, which was always a positive!

I dropped my coat from my shoulders, feeling the first limiter drop, and I called, "Brea! Once you clear an area, I'll set up a barrier that should keep the enemy from attacking the centre!"
I began to focus my energy, a multicolored glow coming up from around me.
At least your deaths can serve a purpose this way, I thought as I called the souls of the fallen soldiers to me, friend and foe, cleansing them of hatred and resentment and easing their way into the afterlife as I called to the power in them.
"Glad you could make it, Kurai. They need your help on shore, clearing an area for the relief centre. Try not to kill too many, alright?" I asked. "I've got enough power for this shield as it is."

"Done and done." Kurai said with a nod before disappearing in a small puff of smoke.
He reappeared in front of the lines of Marines, with his hands held in one of his hand signs. "Wind style; Wind sickle jutsu!" He swung his arm and a huge gust of wind swiftly followed, knocking most of the rebels away in one swift move, it would at least give Brea and his Marines a chance to properly draw their swords and prepare for close combat.

A spinning halberd twisted Kurai's attack aside, and as the weapon stopped spinning, behind it stood Zhen Anguo, crescent blade in hand he scowled at the men in front of him before pointing his weapon at them with a small clank of metal.
"Invaders! Spectres of pride and ambition! Take your men and turn your ships back to where you came from, I shall not allow anger and death to invade the shores of my country!" He brought his halberd back to his side and held it behind his back, blade pointing to the floor as he took an offensive stance.
"Retreat now or face the blade of peace!"

As I concentrated on my barrier, I felt...
Something.
Kurai's strike was knocked aside, and I staggered under the pressure of Lunar meeting Lunar, controlled versus uncontrolled, and a strong, unmistakeable feeling of void.
Hello, brother, said a calm, sardonic voice in my mind. Would you mind telling me just what you think you're doing?
Hello, Kerrian, I greeted him. Mind telling me what your Knight down there is doing?
He's too much like you for his own good, grumbled Kerrian, the Lunar of Void, the Empty Moon. What do you think he's doing?!
I rolled my eyes.
Nice to see you too, brother.

Kurai definitely recognised the power of an untrained Lunar Knight as his attack was knocked aside by a young man wielding a weapon rather taller than he was. It dawned on him that this boy clearly had no idea what he was, not did he seem to have any idea of what was happening, admittedly, if he was a local he could understand why him and Unda's forces landing on Vuoto's beaches may seem a bit incriminating, plus, he sounded a lot like he had Vash's ideals on peace, meaning he wasn't going to back down.
"Ahh great..." Kurai said with a heavy sigh as he raised his hands in defence "Now listen, this isn't what it looks like, these men are here to set up an aid centre for your people, and the men you just defended are rebels, no doubt looking to steal the supplies that we have brought for the poor and needy, you seem like an upright sort, not a rebel or bandit, so why do you defend them?"

"Silence!" 'Guo cried, pointing an accusing finger at Kurai "If you come here for the people, why do you bring an entire fleet?! This is a brash and overstatement of Unda's military power and I shall suffer it not! No man should have died today and yet here you are bringing death? The people of Vuoto do not need the aid of Unda or any other nation, I shall bring peace to this land, by myself if I have to!"
With that, he rushed forwards and brought his halberd down towards Kurai's head.

Kurai's eye widened at the young mans speed, that was a hefty spear he was carrying but he wields it like it was but a toothpick! Jumping to the side, he backflipped a few times before swiftly stringing together a group of handsigns "Water style; Water Dragon Jutsu!" He swung his arm and a dragon formed out of the seat water, before flying straight towards Anguo with a terrifying amount of force.
