Let me tell you a very angry story. I have played every Dynasty Warriors game ever from DW:1 which was a 1vs1 Soul Calibur-esque game to the latest DW:7 which had beautiful graphics, a much more intuitive story-line and an improved combat system. Obviously, the Xtreme Legends expansion packs only ever came out for the Playstation and I understood why the same happened with DW:7 Xtreme Legends, as always, I, as a 360 gamer, simply looked forwards to the Empires expansion later in the year. Empires is not as good as XL and it never has been, but I looked forwards to it because it was what we got! And just recently, when browsing the Koei facebook page I found an E3 Announcement Trailer for Empires, I was watching it almost squealing, it looks absolutely beautiful. So you can imagine my pain when I saw this. The game I've been waiting months for is a PS3 exclusive. This wouldn't be such a big deal were it not for the fact that the 360 has missed out on one expansion already, but now we have to miss out another despite sales on both consoles of 7 actually being equal, despite PS3 fans citing that the sales on 360 were much less. All in all, I'm unbelievably angry, disappointed and even a little bit betrayed. ~ Jordan

If I were you, I'd take this as an opportunity to get a PS3.
It's useful. I primarily use my 360 for most things but at least when I need a blu-ray player I have the PS3.

I've contemplated as such, I was a Playstation gamer through the PS1 and 2, but in all honesty, I can't afford to buy a PS3 right now, and even I don't love Dynasty Warriors enough to get a PS3 over the one game! :')
Still, the Tecmo Koei facebook page and twitter feed is absolutely packed with backlash from 360 gamers and even a few PS3 gamers who are disappointed that others are missing out, so I'm trying my best to have hope...

Right, I have some good news! Chin Soon Sun, the community manager of Tecmo Koei, has noted the huge backlash and has taken the information on to the TK board. Nothing's official yet, and I'm not holding my breath, but I can still hope :3
For me, this is worse than the Mass Effect 3 ending :')

Wow. Who'd've guessed someone could get this worked up over an expansion pack? I mean, yeah, I'd be a little disappointed myself, but still, isn't this overreacting a tad?
Then again, I don't really get the people who threatened to picket Square if the next KH game comes out on a console other than PS3/XBOX, so... I guess I'm just too laid-back to be a real gamer, huh?

Sadly Mark and I don't know what that's like, we own all three major systems. The PS3 and Wii we bought with our own money and the 360 was a very generous gift from our mother. So I guess you could say we're not fussed with the system wars right now.
All I can say is what Jess said, even if you can't afford it NOW, perhaps you should consider putting it as a goal to work toward. Because there are other games too for the PS3 you could consider.
The Last of Us
Uncharted series
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Kingdom Hearts III (I know there's a huge hope for a 360 release, but its unconfirmed and we know it'll get a PS3 release).
inFamous series.
Nothing is set in stone either, you may get your 360 release.

Miri, Dynasty Warrior is probably (from what I've seen) Jordan's favorite series. To be honest, I think he's taking it well, he hasn't joined a riot or anything, yet!
I'd get the PS3 only for Last of Us, the AI is probably the most intelligent AI I have ever seen. Just watch the demo from the E3, it's shocking how well it's made!

I have to join Mike on this one- I had all three from my own buying of them, however, I feel that I can see one major problem with this.
I'm probably as much of a fan of DW as Jordan, and I started it on the PS1 when the first one came out. It was lame back then, but at the same time, so damn satisfying.
Ive played everyone until then, and DW7 was the icing on the cake of amazing storyline coupled with near tear-wrenching cutscenes. The movements were fluid and albeit they got rid of aiming a bow and arrow, they kept to a two weapon system that everyone can use to achieve massive combos and kill hundreds upon thousands of people in ten minutes or less. It's a hell of a stress killer.
However, when I moved on along, I had gotten a 360 first in the console wars, so naturally I played DW 6/empires, and figured Id get 7 for 360 as well. Now I cant port this expansion through empires cause its a PS3 exclusive? It should be a cross-platform game for sure, as if you offered the previous games on multiplatforms, you just let down half of your sales for a potential expansion pack that allows you to rewrite China's ancient history with a Created Character or anyone in a RISK-esque styled game. Its not for everyone, but for Extreme Koei fans..i can see the torment.
I love all of the systems honestly, Wii has the best 'grab some friends and have a hell of a time' games, PS3 has the best 'woah damn that storyline was amazing' games, and 360 has the best 'This game made me feel so good, the action was perfect.' So honestly they all have their benefits, but for my final standing.
WHY ISN'T PHOENIX WRIGHT VS PROFESSOR LAYTON HERE? AS WELL AS ACE ATTORNEY INVESTIGATIONS 2?- XD; Honestly, that's another can of worms, cause that's a "We don't want to localize these games for Americans cause the sales arent high enough"...really? So you'll kill off a continent's worth of sales where you could at least offer an english translation and sell it overseas? That much at least would cost little to no effort on their part.
But that's my gripe about games recently. I'm a capcom nerd of sorts.
Thanks. XD
And Jordan- Sima Yi or Zhuge Liang? Go.

Actually, they have previously announced a localization of Wright vs. Layton. It's just not here yet, because they're not finished with it.
Yes. I can understand getting upset over it, I'm upset myself that Vs. XIII is PS3 exclusive, but I don't really understand the my-life-is-over-how-dare-they-do-this-to-me scale of the upset. I was also very, very frustrated and dealing with some IRL crap when I posted that (admittedly a bit over-sardonic) reaction. I'm sorry about that, Jordan.

If you do get a PS3, its not a bad choice, future game wise, since Sony will keep making games for the PS3 even when the PS4 comes out in a couple of years. *I think rumor release is 2014* Im not getting one since I know a few families that I could mooch off of their system. But I do have the Xbox, and Wii.
OH SWEET JESUS, IN ASSASSIN CREED 3 YOU CAN BE A PIRATE!

|D; I'm privileged (KINDA) to have all major systems. Being that dating Johnathan came with an Xbox 360 (see, boyfriends are good for SOMETHING hahahaa), I bought the PS3...
My family was a bunch of asshats who knew I didn't have a Wii and bought me Wii games anyway. SO after leaving the Wii games by the Wii-less TV for a year and a half and GRUMBLING about it I finally went with Johnathan and bought one this past year |D;
Now as for Mass Effect 3's ending...THAT is can of worms, my friend. For the record, the ending wasn't bad. It wasn't GOOD by any means, but it wasn't bad.
People confuse themselves by saying "The ending sucked" but REALLY meaning, "Bioware's underhanded, behind-the-scenes crap that happened is uncool and we could have had better if that didn't happen!" Because I've argued with people several times already about that, most times they're only pissed because of the unfair crap that happened with the staff that ultimately resulted in a bad ending - but the ending itself is another story altogether.
*does a dramatic fleeing through curtains off-stage*

Right, I have a lot to write here, so just bear with me for a moment! XD
In general: I probably won't be getting a PS3. My family in general has a really low income, on top of that finding a job around my local area is genuinely not easy, and despite the immense amounts of CV's I've handed out, I'm not holding onto much hope. As such, the only chance for me is that it does come out on 360, otherwise it's going to be a 'buy it years later' sort of thing.
Miri: Don't worry about it! I can see where you're coming from, but in short? Dynasty Warriors is my Kingdom Hearts and more! :')
Aya: I've been playing DW from the very beginning, and I've relished both the Empire and XL expansions but obviously when I got my 360 I could only really look forwards to Empires. As for the advisor arguement? My point only works of you've read 'Romance of The Three Kingdoms' cover to cover, I'd say Zhuge Liang simply because his power of hindsight was absolutely unbelieveable. For instance, when Liu Bei took Jing Province, Zhuge Liang left him three bags and told him only to open them when in grave danger, three times Liu Bei and Zhao Yun found themselves in danger, thrice Zhao Yun opened the bags, thrice he found that Zhuge Liang had predicted what had happened and had a solution! Also there's the famous instance where on his deathbed, he knew that Sima Yi would pursue the retreating Shu-Han forces, so he had Jiang Wei prop his corpse up so that when Sima Yi saw it, he thought him alive, the retreat a ruse, and backed off himself!
Admittedly, I do respect Sima Yi's tenacity and ambition.
Jess: Mass Effect 3 is an iffy subject with me. Upon completion I was quite impressed with the scale of choice you had to make, then afterwards I just sort of realised they all led to the same thing in a sense, which was a bit disappointing! But I look forward to the DLC coming out which fleshes the ending out a bit more :3

Haha XD I do have to agree. Either way I was pleased enough with it, though it's not a game I'm gonna be raving about for the next while as the greatest game of all time.
But I am still a die-hard Mass Effect fan. In fact, I was just going over my collection today with my sister and mentioned the new shirts I want as well as an N7 mug and the model of the Normandy <3
