Roccia was bursting with life as the entire country gathered to celebrate the wedding of the King, Roxa Hiaten and his soon to be Queen, Alessia.
Kings and Queens from friendly countries were invited as well as Heroes and friends of Roxa and Alessia. And as everyone began to gather into the castle, while the servants made their final decorative touches something afar began to stir.
Rain clouds? Perhaps... but something was off about it.
As the guests filled the halls and the ceremony drew near, Alessia couldn't stop her nerves from overwhelming her. Her legs were shaking, her teeth clattering and over all she felt weak and unattractive. So many people she thought while seeing the crowds from her room above, Why are there so many here?
Normally, she'd expect Sonorc to walk in about now and assure her that everything was going to be okay... or Kain who'd sit down with her and just smile...
But she knew that wasn't going to happen. So she did what she did best: welcome those into the castle.
The servants complained about her being seen before the ceremony but at this point all she wanted to do was see some friendly faces, so as the large doors opened up to the crowd of people she held her hands together in hope of seeing people she knew.

Weaving in and out of the crowds of people filing into the castle for the ceremony was a smaller figure in a black cloak, with fancy gold lining. Even with the hood pulled over, the figure could still easily spot Alessia (it was kind of hard to miss her in the dress and all). Shaking immensely, the cloaked one tore through the people in her way straight towards the soon-to-be-queen.
"T-t-t-t-th--BOTHER!" a woman's voice burst from the cloak, fists balled and throwing her arms about in a wild fit of frustration at herself. A small pale hand reached up and tore the hood off, revealing the soft lavender curls of Nia's hair as she'd given up her secretive approach.
"A-a-a-a...t-th-th-d-d-dohh..." she'd gotten herself excited and took a deep breath, forcing herself to spell out the one word in her head and only opened her mouth when she was able to say it properly, "Alessia!!"

"King Hiaten! I'm sorry, but you just can't!"
Gensayce and Riliath were both stood in ornamental armour, blocking the door out of the room. Each one held the recently crowned King Roxa under an arm, stopping him from charging out of the room. Both of them appeared to be struggling to hold him back as Roxa kicked and cried, trying his best to break from the grip of his two most trusted friends.
"LET ME OUT! WHY AREN'T I ALLOWED OUT?!"[/i]
He snarled as he raised his feet into the air, kicking out at the door, trying to kick it open if he could. He was hell-bent on escaping. Not from the wedding, that is, he was overjoyed about that, but he wanted to see Alessia, just one last time before they were married. Riliath and Gensayce clearly didn't believe in his logic.
"My King!" Gensayce cried with a sigh. "You know that these official ceremonies need to follow a certain path, and in this case... You aren't allowed to see your bride before the actual wedding!" Riliath took over the speech.
"Stop being such a buffoon!" The big man roared. "You'd look like an idiot if you broke the rules!" Roxa made a noise that sounded like a cat being strangled before finally giving up. Dangling there in his ceremonial armour, his crown which had been presented to him by the local blacksmith, hanging lopsided on his head as he scowled up at Genasyce and then Riliath.
"Fine." He grumbled. His gaze fell back onto Gensayce, who was acting as his best man. "I miss him, sometimes... Y'know..?" The pair let him go, and Riliath nodded slowly. Gensayce spoke out.
"I have no doubt that he would be your best man if he were... He was... He was a good man deep down..." Roxa nodded, before letting out a sigh, breaking into a smile as he stared up at the ceiling.
"He's here... Just not in person..."

Andy Jammer and Leah Hart made there way to the ceremony, Leah had met Roxa over the whole incident with the Lunar Knights and Andy wasn't surprised he received an invitation. Andy's adjusted the more formal robes and frowned over at Jasmine.
"Is this formal enough?"

Despite it being a little eerie for him to step into Roccia's castle with Seigmand gone, Alexander still marched on in as though he owned the place. Old habits never really died, he waved foolishly at any servants he actually recognized that were somehow still around to serve the new king. Not being received well for it with awkward looks the opposite direction when he made eye contact with it, Alexander rolled his eyes and huffed.
"Pssh, commoners. And I'm the arrogant one?" Alexander pouted but not for long because if he easily forgot the feelings of his own servants he forgot even quicker those of another ruler's, "why is the bride running around in public before the wedding?! Doesn't she know that's bad luck?!"
Eyes widened with worry, Alexander was legitimately looking around for support on this.
"It'll be even worse if the groom sees her before the ceremony! This isn't right!"
Never mind the fact that Alexander was pulling his opinion from his bible. For a moment even he acknowledged this and then began wondering if this kind of behaviour was considered normal in Roccia. Because where he came from, it clearly wasn't.

Alessia could see two guards begin to close in on the Nia, they were inches from grabbing her when Alessia quickly waved them away. Alessia was overjoyed at who she saw, it had been forever sense she had seen Nia.
"Oh my-" she said, breathless for a moment, "Nia? Oh my god, how have you been? I heard... I heard you went missing and..."
She wasn't very sure how to say, 'I was worried that Aya guy killed and hid your body somewhere'. So instead she simply pulled the Saint into a hug and asked, "How are you?"

"Hey don't forget about me!"
Eli moved over into Roxa's view, bearing of course a striking resemblance to his Great Uncle, wearing formal robes of white and black patterns - his favorite color pattern of course.
"I mean, I know Kain and Sonoric aren't here," he knew enough of the Saints from Roxa's past. "But hey, I am here...right? Right?"
Eli paced nervously, "...I never been to a formal event, don't judge me."

Jasmine followed close to Andy in a soft green dress, the typical style of hers reaching low to her ankles and the top covering her shoulders--she liked her dresses keeping her well-hidden. She smiled at Andy as she looked over the robes he was wearing.
"Quite, I think this is one of the best I've seen you in," she giggled as she reached out to him and adjusted his collar and fastened one of the buttons near the top that either had come loose or he'd deliberately left undone, "think you can manage to wear this the whole day?"

Zeke gave an impressed whistle as he moved past the beautifully carved decorations leading up to the hall where the wedding was to be held. Much as his painting days seemed a part of his past Zeke was still able to enjoy the unique artwork of a culture he'd never explored before. Yet as his eyes surveyed the sculptures and stonework around them his senses as a bodyguard couldn't help but nag at him all the while. To think how little time had passed since this place had been embroiled in revolutionary conflict and to imagine the violence that must have taken place here made Zeke uncomfortable. Was this how a king was remembered in this land? Had the old ruler been so horrible, so worthy of disdain that mere days after his fall the people celebrated a new ruler so easily? Would the same thing happen if Alexander were to be dethroned?
No, it was a silly idea. Zeke had only to look once at his King and his friend Alexander to let his unease pass? Watching how carefree he was it was almost impossible to think anyone would be celebrated for causing him any harm, and on a day like today who would spoil such festivities with something like that. With his trusted king at his side Zeke was happy to have the chance to let his guard down for the most part and just enjoy the day. Turning his attention up for a moment he gave a bemused glance to the clouds hanging ominously in the distance.
"You know, on Earth they say it's good luck for the couple if it rains during the wedding. I don't really know why, but maybe it'll cancel out the bad luck from her being seen by everyone." Zeke shrugged and gave his king a beaming smile.

Andy grumbled at the collar, he did leave it loose purposely, he felt too...neat. Leah alongside them, a strange look on her face as Jasmine adjusted Andy's collar. She wore a dress that stopped just a bit below her knees and the top had her shoulders exposed, to be frank quite opposite of Jasmine.
"I feel tense." Andy confessed, "I should have brought my sword, why did we have to leave it at the front..."
"They said smaller weapons were allowed if you knew Rox- erm, his Majesty, well," Leah said, people who Roxa personally knew could bring in smaller weapons due to their...perchance for trouble. "You have you gauntlets right?"
"Yeah," Andy grumbled, "But I'd feel better with my sword..."

Nia hugged Alessia tightly and snuggled her cheek into her, admiring the wedding dress's detail up close in awe.
"G-g-good! I...it's a long story but I'm fine!" she pulled away and smiled at her dear friend, "when...when I heard Roxa became the king I was excited. And when I heard you two where getting...g-getting married...I had to..."
Her lip trembled. A waterfall of tears suddenly poured from her eyes. Nia wailed.
"T-THA-I-I'M S-S-S-SO HA-HAAAPPPYYYY!"

"Hey!" Roxa called out at Eli, giving him a thumbs up (a rather un-royal action, admittedly) and a grin. "I'm the King here, remember? I can judge you as much as I wish!" He chuckled before walking up to his Great Nephew and placing a hand on his shoulder, giving him a nod. "Don't worry about it, Eli... You look fine! Did you not bring Juno with you?" He asked as he gave his Nephew a sly grin.
"I'm pretty sure I invited the both of you..." The grin merely widened.

Jasmine grinned at Andy as she looked up into his eyes.
"Thankfully you have another weapon that you didn't have to leave at the door," she winked, "I'm no sword, but my magic can at least help you obtain your sword and maybe even protect you for a bit. Wouldn't that just be a silly situation?!"
Jasmine laughed at it, though at the back of her mind it also was almost a bit of a terrifying scenario of her having to play bodyguard for Andy...not that she hadn't done it before, but it still wasn't her favourite pasttime.

"Juno's out at the party," Eli pointed, a frown crossed his face. "She's uh...she's looking at wedding dresses and such...said something about planning out her wedding."
He looked at his uncle, "Please don't make go back out there."

Alexander opened his mouth to argue with Zeke about the absurdity of rain being good luck for a couple on their wedding day. He closed it for a moment when he thought about it, though. Sure, rain keeps flowers healthy and everyone knows that healthy, vibrant flowers make a wedding beautiful. But...
"What does that mean?! What kind of good luck? On the wedding day itself, or does it give them good luck in the future? Or does it bless their first-born child or something? What kind of 'good' luck is involved in this, Zeke?" Alexander raised an eyebrow as he pointed towards Alessia, "because I can tell you that all of us seeing the bride in her dress before the ceremony just means bad luck for their entire marriage! She's the last one we're supposed to see, the most beautiful flower of them all, the last shred of innocence before he takes it away and it's important she's treated and seen in a very sacred way!"
He took a deep breath in between his rambling and threw in, "No wonder Seigmand was crazy. This place makes no sense."
