"Apparently that barrier isn't working!" Eli yelled, drawing his sword. "Mark! Mark! Gah, what do we do!?"
"Could we ask the Archangels to expand the barrier?" Juno suggested, circles appearing in the air around her as she starting charging up attacking spells.

"Everyone calm down." Yeligar said, he held up his lance. He started to charge up a ball of fire at the tip of his lance making it grow larger and larger, illuminating the area. "Zeke, you might not want to stand this close to me. I think this creature will attack me because I am the brightest." He then looked around, "Everyone, keep an eye out. If it strikes again, we need pin it down, somehow."

There was silence which seemed to feel like an eternity. How the creature ate Mark and decided to leave the rest?
That was one possibility... but as everyone was staring in the direction that Mark was pulled in, no one ever saw the many tentacle that were inching closer to them from behind. Until they attacked of course, springing at the group in attempt to do the very same thing to them as it did to Mark.

"The brightest, eh?" Thought Zaria at Yeligar's comment. She smirked to herself and shook her head. She'd never say it out loud of course, as she knew well enough what he meant.
Now was not the time to be thinking up snarky comments though. Some of their team member were in danger. What was she doing thinking when she could be doing something?
"So Water is your element, huh?" She grinned, as the tentacles came lunging forward. Her comment was obviously directed at the tentacles that were headed towards them. She clenched her hands into fists, and the gloves she wore began to glow faintly. She stood her ground and began using hand motions. As she moved, the water around the barrier moved as she directed it. "Well it's also mine!" With the right direction, the water around the tentacles swirled quickly, then froze suddenly at Zaria's hand signal.

With his sense's at the ready, Ingway quickly caught sight of the lashing tendril as it darted out at him, and shotgunned the arcane bolts in a spur the moment attempt to dissuade the lashing limb from advancing. All for naught thought, as the creature stalled only for a moment before continuing it's pursuit of it's flighty target.
Exercising all manner of acrobatics and dextrous maneuvers to evade the lashing tentacles, Ingway's fervent attempts to dodge were quickly stifled as a rogue tendril wrapped itself around his left leg, and began to forcefully drag him towards the barriers edge, the translucent darkness of the waters depths growing ever closer.
Keeping as calm as he could in but another instance of potentially imminent death, something he was becoming a little to cathartic to, Ingway quickly called out Alles Fräser from his glyphs, splayed the scythes blades with a quick and flourished motion, and swung down hard against his aggressor, praying to the gods that this creature wasn't a magical construct of some sort.

Zaria and Ingway's attack did plenty to scare off the attack but when Ingway swung down at the tentacles his fears were revealed to be true, as he cut the tentacle a smoke of darkness was released from the cut.
It was a creature of darkness, something that would only exist in Hellius. So why was it here?
The tentacles retreated back and instead the creature showed its true face as it pushed through the water barrier the Archangels were trying to hold. It was a large creature that looked as old as it probably was.
You could see arrows and blade adorning the creature's face as signs of all the combat it had seen. Knowing this that would mean casually trying to shoot an arrow at it or simply stabbing a blade wouldn't even pierce the lair of skin that was needed, the group would need to find a better way to take out the creature.

"You know when you guys said we'd have to fight things in the ocean I was thinking something like giant sharks..." Zeke called out as he whirled his blades out in focused arcs to keep the tentacles at bay. "or maybe an octopus..." Managing to slice into two he felt the attack slip through the creature as if it's skin was incorporeal. "but no one said anything about freaking old ones!" He leapt back towards the group as the terrifying creature revealed it's face to the group.
"Get the eyes! It's always the eyes that are weak!" Zeke shouted with something of a blend of certainty and desperation in his voice. Oh please let the eyes be the weakness. Twirling the right blade out by his side he charged to within range before slinging the enchanted weapon as best he could towards the creature's eyeball. It might have been a massive monster, but at least it made for a massive target.

The enchanted weapon flew right at the creature and right into the eye, causing it to twist back in pain. This was a great thing, right? With one of it's eyes down there was only one left.
That's until it stopped moving, looked at Zeke and suddenly open up its some three dozen eyes lined all across its body. All staring down at Zeke was a crimson rage.
It opened its mouth and let out a terrifying roar, with all nature of disgusting things flying out at the group. They were harmless, but they disturbing to say the least: fish bones, pieces of fish, wood, bigger chunks of wood and the occasion human limb.
And than came the lethal things, tiny little fish that literally flew into the air. They had jagged teeth and they grouped up to about a dozen, they were like razors and they all flew right at Zeke.
Meanwhile, the group wasn't the only one falling under trouble. This creature was hardly stupid, it figured out where the Archangels were and didn't exactly like them disrupting its ocean.
Tentacles flew out of the ocean and knocked straight into one of the Archangels. This would be felt down with the group as the shield began to degrade, letting water pour into the large circle. It wasn't at a point to panic for the group yet, but it was getting there.

"Yes!" Zeke's free hand did a confident pump in the air as he pulled his blade out from the creature's wincing eye. "It might as well have had a flashing red weak point on...it." His shoulders slumped in disappointment as he the creature had cheated him out of his personal victory. "That's a lot of flashing red weak points."
As the creature roared Zeke turned tail and bolted away as best he could. The debris was firing out all around him, most too flimsy or small to hurt him, yet it all changed the second he felt something sharp and painful rush up his shoulder. Zeke cried out and turned to see a wild eyed fish digging into him as it wriggled in the air, and many more were leaping up to join it. With a wide arcing swing and a fast stutter step he managed to evade the more immediate volley as his blade and chain either cleaved through a few behind them or beat them back into the waters. It was a decent effort, but the one embedded in his left shoulder he only fight at half capacity. Two managed to catch him right as the blade swung over them and voracious hunger they clamped down onto his left arm and right leg.
"SON OF A-" Zeke bit his lip hard as he fell to his knee. "Need some help guys. Sooner...better than later." He cried out as he made quick work of the three fish that had bit him.

Eli then moved, stepping in front of Zeke and spinning his sword at a high speed - the rest of the fish that were heading to him and they smacked to the ground unable to pass through. He quickly followed with stabbing motions on any of the fish that were knocked down, but still alive.
"I think the more we hurt it the harder it will be to get the next eye!" Juno shouted, strange purple cubes floating in front of one eye and then exploded on contact. Then she noticed the water and gulped. "I um...I think something's happening to the Arch-Angels!"
"So we got to kill this thing before it sends more fish to eat us and/or drowns us!" Eli growled, "If I have to risk it...I could try berserk mode but..."
Berserk state had its capabilities, but its dangers too. He rushed at one of the eyes and began swinging his blade in a three strike combo, hoping to get three of the eyes at the same time.

Yeligar quickly aimed at the maw of this creature. He looked and as it roared at them, he shouted, "Solar Bomb!" The fire ball quickly flew to the mouth, and Yeligar quickly switched swords from the red to blue blade. "Cyclone Barrier!" He shouted, as he made contact with the water it slowly started to rotate. It then made the water rotate around the barrier, making a new barrier of water. Yeligar stood there, focusing on his move. This barrier isn't made for this side, so some water was dripping on them.

Eli managed to get one of them before being smacked away by the creature. It was hardly going to roll over and make it easy on the group, it pushed and slashed at all of them, letting go more and more of those small fish creatures right at Yeligar, recognizing that he was helping to hold the barrier up.
The Archangels were having a terrible time as well, while one did their best to hold the barrier the other fended off the tentacles. Even that was hard and was clearly disturbing for the one Archangel that was doing their best to hold it all up.
As the small fish creatures flew at Yeligar the giant creature pulled back into the water and was another moment before it reappeared, this time it was right above them, making it harder for them to slash its now 8 eyes that were still there.

"Stop your magic for a second!" Zaria exclaimed to Yeligar. "I'm going to try and direct the water back out of the barrier!" Her gloves glowed, and she took her stance, getting ready to send the water back out. "I will help you maintain the barrier walls once I've re-directed the water."

Taking the pain with a grin-and-bear-it approach Zeke strained a smile towards Eli in thanks before getting back to his feet. As the monster of the deep vanished from view temporarily Zeke took to the side of the Archangels and Yeligar, offering as much support as he could to keep both the pesky fish and the wrathful tentacles off the men responsible for their safety.
His left shoulder and arm spasmed in pain each time Zeke slung his blades out to fend off the attacks, but he was determined to keep up his pace for as long as he could. No freaking way I'm going down in the very first fight. Not a chance.
"You hear me fish-face! Not a freaking chance you're taking me down that easy!" Slashing a tentacle away from the defending Archangels Zeke let the entirety of his chain slide out of his left hand, using the momentum of the full length of his weapon to slice up into the waters and strike at the monster as best he could.

As Alles Fräser seemingly severed the gripping appendage, at least enough for the creature to drop him, Ingway quickly regained his balance, his body stilled for a moment as he tried to analyze this strange creature as it pushed itself through the water. Perhaps being lulled into a fake sense of security, or just a bit of an analytical stupor as he bore witness to the beasts full form, Ingway sat idle, that is up until the creature received a rouge blade in the eye and bellowed fiercely, the young rogue being knocked on his back by the sheer force of the creatures cry.
With a stylish and almost practiced motion, Ingway rolled and pushed himself up, quickly bounding off hand foot in rapid succession to put some room between the creature and himself, as well as dodge the creatures spittle as best as he could. Landing back closer to his comrades, Ingway heard Zeke's muttered quip of weak points, and couldn't help notice himself the large gaping eyes that now adorned the creatures body.
"Weak points...and lots of them. Now there's something I can work with." Ingway thought to himself as a sly grin adorned his face, the young adventurer feeling that his skills might prove useful here. Giving up any attempt at concealing his powers, Ingway threw both his hands outwards, each one flicking and twisting in an assortment of quick and methodical motions, as the opaque glow of his glyphs quickly sprung into existence, each one placing itself by one of the creatures revealed ocular cavities. Sadly though, the creature pulled itself away as Ingway neared completion of his attack, quickly repositioning itself over top of them all; it's eight eyes baring down upon them.
"Dammit, oh well, just need to do a little repositioning myself..." Ingway thought with a slight pause before quickly maneuvering his glyhps to the proper position, and prepping the last few. Ingway would have to thank everyone afterwards for drawing attention away from him, well, provided this worked. Oh gods, how he hoped this worked. If not for their more prominent efforts, then Ingway would surely have been torn apart, be it by the creatures tentacles, or the darting, masticating creatures that this thing was releasing.
Giving one last forced motion of his hands, Ingway's glyphs sprung to life, each one simultaneously projecting a blade stored from Ingway's fast and sorted collection, all of which now sped towards each of the creatures eyes, keen blades glistening with what little light they could find in the dark depths.
