Enizo was in the zone. He was so keen to every movement, the change of air or the off noise that disrupted the surrounding nature.
His eyes were of killers as he neared the surrounding bush in attempt to get a better view of the potential enemy. But that was when Velestia grabbed onto his arm and gave him THOSE eyes.
"Da-uh, ah..." Enizo had to blink a couple of times. Velestia was so close he could feel the heat from her body. It made his face flush red as he tried to form a response, "Y-Yeah, of course I'll protect you, cause that's my job... protecting people! Heheheheh..."
DAMMIT, why couldn't God-Slayer be hanging so close to be, and more importantly, why is this girl so cute!?
Enizo was now out of the zone.

I could find no words to speak, not since we left Vuoto, and such a thing was made only worse by the apparent flippant attitude of my allies. I hated to think ill of them, but the wound deep in my heart was made only worse by their words and salted by their seeming dismissal of what we had just witnessed. Death, destruction, and an evil that I have never personally know, and as scars of my past saw fit to return and bind my mind with the sorrowful loss of not only my people, but the people of Relinquo, I found it almost hurtful that my company saw fit to be joyously prattling about, their minds focused more on themselves then on those that we failed to save.
The sting was only made deeper as we ventured through the forests of my childhood, my feet pressing firmly against dirt that my toes had felt as a young boy in a more peaceful time. But such was not the case anymore, and I could only think back to that moment of my escape as my master gave himself to save me, leaving me only with the memory of my people and the armaments I know wear as I ran from that which I was too weak to fight.
But such thoughts were broken by at least one person who seemed to be in a similar state of focus as myself. Turning to the young girl, I could see the hesitation and worry that gripped her, hear the fear in her words, and could not deny that such thoughts had passed through my own mind. It was a question that I had tried to avoid answering myself, for an answer that boded well seemed far from my reach, but I could not let my young companion continually be eaten away at by such pessimism.
Turning to her, I softly placed both hands upon her shoulders and met my eyes with her, speaking in a soft and almost solum manner strange to even myself. "I can't rightfully say that if those vile beings are more powerful then us, nor if we stand a chance, but do not let such things soften your resolve. It is the ties that connect us all that shall strengthen us and give rise to a justice great enough to stop those heinous fiends." Turning my eyes to the trees and thinking back to my youth, I could feel a great well of emotions pool in my chest and embraced the feelings they brought as I stared into the verdant greenery with a look of steely resolve. "And know this, my young friend, that I shall not let you, nor any one of my allies fall in harms way. I shall be the stalwart wall the defends my friends from such villainy, even if I should crumble in doing so..."
I gave pause for a moments before turning back to the young God-Slayer with unparalleled seriousness, both in my eyes and my words. "...that said, I need you to make me a promise, my friend, that should Duo's forces seek us out, that you will take these people and run, for I shall show those devils myself the true extent of my justice, and I shall not hold back. For that reason, and your safety, you must leave should they find us."
I knew people did not entirely take me seriously, but if there was ever a time for people to heed my words, this was it, for this man and his forces were not human, and as such demanded my full power. No limitation, mental or physical, and with no people around, I would show those monsters how exactly I came to be called "Bang" Shishigami.

Volkmar grinned with Enizo said something about the possible fact that Duo's army is near, only 6 or so. "Finally, now we are talking about something GOOD!" He said as he pulled out his swords and ran in front of the group. "I'll attack them, and then you guys can spring on them, if there are any left!" Volkmar said as his voice trailed behind him. Volkmar got to about where they should have been, but no one was in sight. "Where are you, you Duo scumbags!?" He shouted, looking for the enemy, ready to strike at a moment's notice.

I smiled at Bang's words.
"You're an honourable man," I told him. "If I might, I'll add my own promise to that. If I have my way, no one will die here today..."
I looked out across the fields.
Alberisato was a beautiful place. I didn't want to see these fields stained with blood. But I couldn't shake the feeling that conflict was just ahead, on the horizon...

Jasmine sighed at The Other's response, though she wasn't at all surprised by it--he did say he wasn't having anything to do with them really anymore...though now why he was still here with them she had no clue. Regardless!
"Well, Milord, I don't know what it is you personally have against me but I've only been trying to work with you. But if that's how you want to be..."
She kept an eye on him, knowing she'd been a little short with him herself and he was as unpredictable as he was scary-looking and never really knowing when that 'patience' of his would run out. It was starting to really worry her...
Or was it? She felt suddenly very weird, and when Andy started giving out the orders to split up and take cover her thoughts shifted to solely that what was going on with the group. And as Andy asked her about her knowledge of cloaking spells and illusions she closed her eyes, trying hard to think of anything she'd know, or at least anywhere she could start looking if she didn't know for sure. It even brought her to pulling out her spell book and have it search through itself for the group, several times starting from one end of the book and zipping through pages until it reached the back cover. She frowned.
"I...don't seem to..." Jasmine bit her lip, "if I have access to that kind of magic, I haven't learned it yet."

The words spoken by Bang were sobering, and to hear him speak so seriously was a large departure that she'd only ever encountered when his past was discussed. Yet to hear him speak so made Sahir confident that what he said was honest, and somehow there was something uplifting in it to her. She rose taller in her stance and using her sleeves wiped the tears that were welling up away from her eyes.
She wanted to nod, to tell him that she'd do it, yet even under such sacrifice she was still reminded of the Mistress' words:
"By the end of your quest, you shall have back that which you most desire."
Sahir felt torn. How could she flee when so much depended on her enduring the battle to come, yet if that time came could she really deny his dying wish? She looked into Bang's eyes, saw the strength and resolve that shone brilliantly from them and with hesitation, she nodded. She couldn't look into those eyes for another second, to do so only filled her with disgust at her own selfishness, at her own weakness. Instead she only averted her attention back to the task at hand.
There was something not far from them, and with Volkmare leaping into battle, she drew forth Umbravox and held fast with the rest of the group, waiting to see what would come next.

Andy frowned, it was worth a shot, he reached over to his sword ready to be drawn at any moment. Until that is he saw Volkmar, blinking for a moment.
"Volkmar? What's he doing here?" he blinked, looking around and seeing a slightly larger group on the horizon the closer they got their auras felt more familiar to them.
"Hold on...it might not be Duo forces." he said, slowly looking out. "...hang back for a moment, if they aren't who they are you guys get ready for a fight."
Andy held his hands up and slowly walked out, "Hold up everyone, stand down! Its just me!"

"I'm not entirely sure if these people are who you think they are..." 'Guo mused with the thought. Some of the power levels he was sensing were oddly familiar, but they were overpowered by not only unrecognizable ones, but one particularly black energy that seemed to drown out all of the others... It felt uncomfortable.
He dropped down next to Andy, his halberd in hand, just in case...

Brother, for once in your life, listen to me?
"Yes, yes, Adeira, I'm listening," I muttered tensely under my breath.
Of course you are.
What is it?
If you were listening, you'd know already.
Okay, okay, I'm listening, what is it? I asked, exasperated. I'm kind of in the middle of...
The Knights are part of that group!
What? I asked. They're the good guys?
Just then, Andy popped out into the square, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
Just what I've been trying to tell you...
"Yeah, yeah, shut up," I muttered out loud and waved a hand. "Hey, guys, they're not the bad guys!" I called before running up to where Volk and Andy were standing.

Volkmar looked and saw the man coming out with his hands out... the guy who was their ally... "REALLY?! I GET ALL READY TO FIGHT, AND I RUN INTO ALLIES?! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!" Volkmar shouted in frustrated. Sayara came out of Andy's shadow, and poked him, "Hey! Don't fool us like that!" Sayara said.

Post by Seishin Kogeki II on Jan 25, 2013 21:27:38 GMT -5
A cough, above the groups now converging on one another.
"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen..." An intake of breath, a pause, and then an exhale. The voice also came from above. Seishin Kogeki II was stood in a tree above them, in his formal attire, with a cigarette held in his left, gloved hand, his right shoulder leaning against the trunk of the tree as he looked down on them. He stubbed the cigarette into the bark, before standing up and neatly folding his hands behind his back, his heels snapping together, the stance of a professional soldier.
"We've been sent forwards by the King in order to explore whether this current little force was friend or foe..." He tilted his head slightly to the side somewhat.
"So which is it..?"

In the same tree, another voice called down, standing on a branch very much not ormally and leaning one hand on the tree trnk, the other hand cupped around the mouth.
"Yeah! I mean here you all are, looking ready to tear each other to bits, and now you're suddenly buddies? Looks kinda suspicious to me." He crosses his arms and leans his shoulder against hte tree, crossing one leg in front of the other. "We don't want any trouble, so if you plan to make some, we're gonna have to ask you to do it elsewhere."

Enizo had to shake his head a couple times as things played out, so many things were happening at once. "Andy? I have one thing to ask you, just give me a second..."
Enizo stepped past the group and looked up at the two he didn't recognize.
"I am Enizo of the Allorum Guardians. We are permitted to be here by the Allorum Guardian/Alberisato truce made over 200 years ago!"
"And who may you be?" Enizo kept one hand on his blade. They said they were sent by the King but for all Enizo knew these men could be with Duo.

Kurai stepped forwards, noting the Crest of Alberisato on the younger of the two men in the tree, he made a quick deduction that they were from the military, and that given the fact there were only two of them, they were probably Captains or retainers to King Lamuria, and therefore... Shouldn't be taken likely. He had noticed fellow Lunar Knights in his peripheral, but greeting could wait, he wanted to defuse this situation first. He said his piece after Enzio.
"We are an assortment of Heroes, Lunar Knights and members of other groups, on our way to Heavens Last, in search of the leader of the Allorum Guardians." He nodded. "On the way we have encountered fellow allies... Who surprised us somewhat..." He chuckled nervously.
"But I assure you... We are not hostile. We are on a mission against Duo!"
"Poo-oh!" Chimed in 'Guo, in what he thought was a correction.

"Duo, eh?" Kiba called out, raising an eyebrow. "There've been rumors and tales he's on the move again. Captain Kiba Takenaka of the Alberisato Palace, in service to King Lamuria; if you have proof you're who you claim, here's where you show it."
