Okay so thanks to Faey ¬_¬ I've been reading Dominic Deegan... Alot. In about 3 days I've read eight years worth of comic strips, and the prospect of balance between order and chaos facinated me, so HEY! LET'S GIVE IT AN EMBODIMENT!
Speaking of Dominic Deegan, I was just reading it one day and the first time I saw the words 'Candy Courage' I knew had to give it a shot, so through careful deliberation, I drew this
And we're not done yet (MOOHAHAHAHAHA) I also drew up Gin from Bleach but I realised how crappily I'd drawn his facial expression and I though (this is literally what happened in my head)
"Wow, that really really sucks" -looks at balance picture- "Let's add a little chaos into the mix!"
And I got this
So inspired by my 'eviler tainted Gin' I went on to draw this guy
And him again... Eviler...
ANYWAYS Self-criticism time, first off with the idea of balance? I personally think that's the best picture there. I've always drawn patterns better than people, and the idea of these swirls and sharps of chaos against those rectangles and straight lines of order was a brilliant inspiration for my drawing.
Tainted Gin is possibly my second faviroute because simply I spent a while drawing just plain old Gin and then I noticed 'Crap, I've screwed up his face' but to turn that into an acceptable piece of work? I think it's one of my better projects
Dominic Deegan. Don't Judge Me. I saw the strip, I liked that individual image so I drew it, leave me be. So yeah I was drawing and I realised how horribly his little staff had been done, so I just drew it a bit wavier and prayed you all just think it's his pants. It's. Just. His. Pants.
And the chaos guy x2 were my first 'people' I've drawn completley on my own accord without an image to copy, taking that into consideration I don't think they came out too bad, I tried tracing the first one's outline so I'd have the right shape again but the paper I was using was just too thick so his face gets a bit fatter and such, but I'm not finished with him so expect to see him a bit more. And don't ask me where his legs are.
Anyways, have fun with those guys!
