Actually, two short stories! You see, I was rather bored during an assembly this morning during school so I took out my notebook and started writing. It's actually been a very good day for writing short stories- I've written three! Two are CR related, so here's the first one!
(this is actually set at high school >.>)
The assembly was boring as hell! Faey sat three rows from the back, looking around for her friend Miri. Damn... Faey thought, seeing her sitting way up in the front; they weren't allowed to get up and change seats. The speaker droned on and on about the schools rules pertaining to cell phones, school I.D.s, late arrivals and every other meticulous detail that was complete B.S.
"And now, I'll turn the microphone over to your principal." Faey rolled her eyes and pulled out a book.
Ten minutes and an explosion later, Faey stood up. "HOLY SH*T!" the right side of the stage was catching fire, the left side non-existent and the podium, the principal along with it (good thing no one liked the principal much) had been blown across the auditorium to the opposite wall. Walking calmly out of the wreckage was a man dressed in red, eating a bowl of ice cream. Faey and Miri shouted his name in unison. "Trucido Damnedblood!"
Faey cursed under her breath and ran down the he aisle towards Miri. "This is NOT GOOD! What is he doing here?!?" Faey yelled.
"Eating ice cream." replied Miri.
"Thank you, Captain Obvious."
"You're welcome, Sargent Sarcasm."
Faey scowled and pulled out a pen. "I don't suppose you've got a weapon?" Miri gave her a look. "Do you?" Faey held up her pen. "I really don't see why some idiot would say this is stronger than a sword!"
All the panicking students had finally gotten out of the auditorium, and the rest of the building had been evacuated through instructions via the intercom. Good, thought Faey, No one will get hurt then. "What do you want Trucido?!"
He took the last bite of his ice cream and tossed the bowl aside. "Well, I was bored and decided to pay a visit." He pulled out his blade. "Shall we?" Then he lunged forward at them. Miri and Faey dodged to either side. Miri picked up an abandoned backpack and swung it at Trucido. "Hope there wasn't anything important in there," Faey commented as Trucido easily slashed it to pieces.
"Might I make a suggestion, Faey?"
"Go right ahead."
"RUN!!!"
"Sounds good!" They both turned and ran out into the hallway. "This way!" Faey shouted, getting an idea. Trucido smiled cruelly and followed, swinging his sword at their backs. Faey grabbed Miri's arm and pulled her around a corner, down another hallway. "Get in there!" She said, pointing at a door at the very end of the hallway.
Miri ran ahead and pulled open the door, then Faey caught up and pushed her inside, closing the door behind hem. She ran over to a cabinet in the corner and began rummaging through it. "Uh..." Miri said, "You realize he has us cornered now, right?" "You realize that this room is the fencing club, right?" Faey replied with a grin. She reached into a bag and pulled out an epee and a foil, tossing the latter to Miri. "En garde!"
Trucido kicked open the door, laughing madly. "Tag, you're it!" Miri pulled off the protective tip of the fencing equipment and lunged at him, swinging the blade at his chest. He parried as Faey ran in from the other side, aiming for his arm. Damnedblood simply stuck out his foot and tripped her.
"Don't worry, Faey! I'll save you!" Vaan Seraph stood int he doorway, striking a heroic pose. "Vaan!" Faey's eyes turned into little hearts, just like in the mangas, and she sighed dreamily. Miri rolled her eyes and continued to fend off Trucidos attacks. She missed one and Faey rolled to the side barely in time to avoid being hit by his blade.
"Uh, Vaan? A little help?!" Vaan stayed frozen in the doorway. "Damn! He's gone unresponsive again!" She picked up her epee again and ran at Trucido, putting fury into her attacks. Miri did the same, lunging forward with attack after attack.
Their strength was waning fast, though, and Trucido simply knocked away their blades. Just when it seemed they were going to lose, a tinny melody floated through the window.
"Ice cream truck!" Trucido said happily, sheathing his blade and walking out.
Faey and Miri looked at each other, confused.
"Ice.. Cream.. Truck?.." Miri asked.
"I could go for some ice cream." Faey replied.
They smiled, linked arms, and cheerfully followed Trucido.
I couldn't resist putting Vaan in there, 'cuz every time I do a thread with him it stops because he doesn't respond >.> (NO OFFENSE TO HIS PLAYER! It's a joke!) Welp, tell me what you think!
