Player: John
Name: Sahir Masbrati
Age: 18
Sex: Female
Description: Sahir has dark green eyes, black hair and a dark complexion. Somewhat small for her age she stands only 5’4” and looks average in weight. Sahir wears a simple brown traveler’s cloak that covers a simple and humble garb. She wears a brown vest with a short-sleeved white shirt underneath and a green skirt that goes to her knees. A small pendant lies tucked under her shirt.
When she uses the power of the pendant her clothes and appearance change drastically. Ribbons adorn her hair, and her clothes take on a more fantastical look, much like a gypsy noble(if such a thing existed). Lastly a silken veil covers her mouth and nose, protecting her true identity from any that spot her.
Personality: Sahir is a mostly naïve girl, having grown up in the most rural of lands she is unaccustomed to dealing with large crowds and is somewhat uneasy around big city dwellers, finding more comfort in fellow wanderers and those that live off the land.
While a hard worker and an independent girl, Sahir easily gets lonely, craving companionship outside her stead Dral. However, while she enjoys having someone to make her journey less lonely she refuses to trust anyone at the moment with her secret identity; for whatever happened to her people(see History), the task she took that night is something she feels obligated to do by herself and fears will only ostracize any friends she might make.
Under her disguise she enjoys her reputation as either a way to escape from the doldrums of life or to escape the dangers of whatever task she is attempting. Fearful of strong warriors she’ll try whatever she can think of to either get people on her side or out of her way long enough to do her job.
Alignment: Good
Equipment: A small pendant that hangs around her neck. The pendant holds a transforming spell that alters the clothes and appearance of whoever wears it, and also brings out Umbravox(see Weapons) for her to wield.
She also carries a pack usually filled with food provisions, maps, and traveling amenities. In a false bottom to her pack though is an array of alchemic explosives.
Weapons: Umbravox, an archaic scythe that is unable to harm anything living or physical. Instead the blade has been crafted to cut through and absorb arcane magic from spells, objects, and unbeknownst to Sahir yet, the natural elements. Once absorbed the scythe can use the borrowed energy to throw similar attacks back at its enemies. Also yet undiscovered is the weapon’s ability to take different forms to both wield and intercept different spells more easily.
Magic: Knows no magic and is a novice with wielding Umbravox, meaning at the moment the best she can do is throw the elements back at opponents in simple waves or projectiles. Further use of her weapon will slowly reveal better control and more complex uses of the magic it absorbs.
Combat: No proper training and as such is weak against anyone that is capable in close combat. Instead prefers to use stealth to avoid combat if possible. Against magic users she can hold her own if only because Umbravox makes it incredibly difficult for magical attacks or summons to hit her.
Travel: A scaled 4-legged flying creature called Dral that she uses as a mount. The beast seems to hold a special connection to Sahir and as such is friendly and responsive to her. With others Dral takes a while to warm up, and until then will refuse to let anyone else ride it.
Flaws: As stated above Sahir is almost completely useless in a battle unless her opponent wields magic of some type, as her weapon cannot inflict injuries and she has no real skill in close combat.
Also her goals make her a very narrow minded person at the moment, meaning even a good friend could become an enemy in her eyes, and she can be easily manipulated to do great evil or good if persuaded properly.
History: Sahir grew up among the Talut people, one of the smaller tribes within Tuono, living off the land with her family. Life was hard and filled with strife, yet they always managed to make due and for her life was good. When she turned 16 she had her mate chosen for her, a young hunter named Natis that she had been close with since childhood.
It was around then that the attacks began. Boruto tribesmen had tried to force the Talut tribe to join with theirs to expand their control of Tuono. When the elder’s refused the union, the Boruto began to harass her people. With their farms burned and their hunters beaten, it is said that her people turned to the religious worship in hopes the gods would hear their pleas for help.
One night, nearly one year after the first encounter with the Boruto, the valley where the Talut people had lived became a death zone. Trade caravans that came through said that the bodies of both Boruto and Talut littered the area. There was almost no sign of a struggle, as all of the camps had remained untouched and many of the people looked unharmed.
To ask anyone in that land, they would say the Talut people died that day, and save for Sahir, they’d be correct. Whatever brought on that event changed her as she took to the life of a wanderer. Aided by Dral, one of the creatures her people raised, she moved from tribe to tribe in Tuono, performing odd jobs to survive.
It was at this time that rumors about a mysterious figure performing stealth raids on large tribes and cities within Tuono began. Striking silently she destroyed books, monuments, relics; anything related to the gods. It was for this reason she was dubbed “The God Slayer”.
Since the events of the Sumata Wars, the God Slayer is said to have vanished from Tuono completely. Some suspect she died, or that she fulfilled her task and retired. Some even believe it was her vile acts against the gods that brought the calamity upon the world. Only Sahir knows for certain that she had left for Crepusculum Kingdom to continue her task.
