Name: Jasmine Annalise Loque
Description: 5'5'' tall, blue eyes and blonde hair that brushes just past the shoulders--usually done up in a loose braid. Usually can be found in her 2nd stage mage outfit - side view-ish.
Birthplace: Shimmering Lake, Crepusculum
Occupation: Healer/Twilight Mage
Family: Father Vincent Loque, Mother Hala Loque (deceased)
Grandparents - Lucifer Loque/Laura Loque, Annabelle Fraus/stupid bum Reginald Lockheart
Others - Aunt Regina Veilleux and cousin Joseph Veilleux (Vincent's side)
Age: 17
Personality: Jasmine is generally sweet and is always looking to help those in need. She's fairly patient, and puts her foot down when there's loafing about going on. Like anyone she expects others to treat her with respect and address her properly, and should they not she's at least fairly calm if not a little cocky when trying to reason it out.
Jasmine has always been a reader and greatly enjoys learning new things and making potions and antidotes and any other crazy concoctions. Her memory is very sharp, though she's more likely to remember numbers and names before she remembers physical looks.
Alignment: Good
Equipment: A bag she slings over her shoulder and carries all of her tools which consist of: bandages, potions, ingredients FOR potions, herbs, some food/drink, spellbook/bible thing, and a knife.
Weapons: Uh...I guess the knife? Otherwise....
Combat: Still new to independent combat, Jasmine finds herself torn between standing on the sidelines to watch the heroes fight and heal them as needed or getting into the fray herself. Her curiousity and desire to help, accompanied by the very fact she knows that she has the abilities to do so, commonly find her stepping into the battle zone and juggling her responsibilities.
She's a magic user solely, balancing light and dark magic with offensive and defensive spells. She commonly sets up barriers for the party, some that are enchanted with powers that will boost her allies' health, speed, or even morale when they really need it, and some barriers are simply there to protect and are enchanted with a harsh consequence for opponents that trespass into its borders.
Her offensive attacks are very minimal at the moment but consist of some purple beams and a lot of fire magic (thanks to her father, who is a natural at fire magic).
She's decent. She layers attacks with small ones while she works on providing something bigger, either a barrier or a larger-scaled attack. She still needs practice as she hasn't quite gotten down the defense/offense balance yet, and this is more of a need for her to practice her spells and remember them than to apply it in combat.

Magic: Jasmine and her grandmother are both Twilight Mages, which is one who has made a pact with the 'Twilight Gods'--Felios (of light, love, and perseverance), Asmalat (dark god, don't have other info on him yet), and Lares (the absolute balance of light/dark, and justice)--these mages are recognized by a carved in, scarred symbol of a star and half-moon on their left hands.
Each of these gods give the mage something to perform their tasks:
Felios gives them a small portion of his extensive bible, in the ancient language that the mage must learn to read in order to use his light/holy spells.
Asmalat grants an array of dark magic spells but forces the mage to engage in the dark art of spirit channeling and communicating with the dead. With their souls opened, at any point they could be overwhelmed or possessed by a stronger spirit or demons. The best, most effective way of warding off these spirits is by using holy magic (see: Felios's hard-to-acquire gift)
Lares waits patiently for as long as he sees fit and observes the mage's magic usage. After a period of time, he holds a spiritual meeting with the mage and passes a judgement on them, forcing their alliance with one of the three gods. If they use more light magic, they are allied with Felios, dark Asmalat, or if the mage has managed to perfect the balance between both magics, they are allied with Lares himself--an impressive feat that is thought by many to be unattainable.
When one is allied with one god, the magic and abilities they've been given by the others is not gone but dimmed in comparison to that of their new (and forever) primary magic, and the other gods will give them no more attention and should they ask for it, are mostly ignored.
Flaws: Where her independence has grown tremendously, Jasmine still finds herself almost stupidly following orders or simply agreeing and following respected warriors or men in her life. She's not one for conflict and tries to avoid it however she has to, but sometimes realizes and guilts herself into not just talking back even if it seems petty to do so.
Again on the battlefield, even when she's actively participating in fighting she finds herself slinking off and allowing "the big strong warriors" to do the heavy work for her. Her confidence in her abilities lack, and she needs to work more on her independence.
History:
Jasmine was raised by the Shimmering Lake (Crepusculum) primarily by her mother as her father "died" when she was just a little 3 year-old girl. Since then she'd been trained by her mother to cook, clean, read, write, and learned basic alchemy and all that jazz so she could put together her own medicines and potions. Unlike her mother, Jasmine always had a very basic magical understanding even when she was younger, having the ability to levitate small-medium objects and very frequently uses this ability when she's busy creating things in her 'lab' we'll call it--a floating spellbook that flips its own pages can be pretty useful, srsly.
Sumata Arc stuff:
Sent away from home by her mother at the age of 15 (she just turned 16 shortly after this), Jasmine left in search of a strong and noble warrior to aid in their travels. She ran into Andy (or rather, he saved her from BIG UGLY MONSTER RAWR) and since then they've done so much crap I don't think I really want to write it all in the history oh god.
They'd become fast friends, even had an awkward dancing moment together at the Dämmerung Ball. From the beginning Jasmine was bothered by 'loving' people like their good friend Kara Samsra, Hala Loque and even Annabelle Fraus (when she did show up later) to tell Andy that apparently she had this crush on him. Which was stupid because they were SO just friends and out to save the world. You know, until it actually happened.
Jasmine went through half the damn Sumata arc arguing with herself whether or not she actually liked Andy, admitted to herself she liked him, kept it secret and then whenever she got close to telling him she either bailed or something else happened. The closest she'd gotten was when they split up for several months--during that time, she travelled with her grandmother and began her official training on spirit channelling and being one of the twilight gods' many "special little mages".
In this time away from Andy did Jasmine finally learn to handle herself as a young independent woman, and deal with not only things like her father (who turned out to not be dead but had disappeared on the family for over a decade) but also put her mother's murder behind her; this helped her focus when she was reunited with the other heroes and Andy.
During the final battle with Trucido Jasmine made herself useful by wandering around the Crepusculum/battle area and treating those sick/injured who she could find/whoever came to her. It helps to have an active healer like her around, it does.
And then when things came to a close she had to kiss Andy goodbye because he came from Earth and then she moved to Ignis with her father where she lives currently.
CURRENTLY:
Not living in Ignis anymore, she's out travelling. Out to fight the good fight and save the world ho ho ho.
