Player Name: JESS
Name: Vincent Artois Loque
Description: 5'8'', quite built, tanned skin, grey eyes, short blond hair. Typically seen nowadays in Ignis military garb and a black cape.
Occupation: General/Captain of Ignis? ((never was answered since last update))
Birthplace: Master Volcano Atoll, Ignis
Family: Hala Loque (wife, deceased), Jasmine Loque (daughter), Melanie Hatt (girlfriend)
Lucifer Loque (father), Laura Loque (mother), Regina Vanderez (sister)
Age: 41
Personality: Can be a little "all over the place" sometimes in the sense that he does have the tendency to go from one extreme to the other, whether it be him joking around to suddenly outrageously angry or vice versa. After his wife died his old colours started to show again--without his lifetime commitment he's a dirty man who likes his drink and women, lots of them and in lots of ways (hoo hoo).
Is quick to anger if you can push the right buttons; anyone who tries to touch his daughter he'll most likely try to kill. If you can threaten her to a point that he can't do anything about it you'll watch this man crumble pathetically.
Dirty-mouthed and cocky, Vincent otherwise isn't scared of anything.
Vincent is 'old' in his ideals--women are best to shut the hell up and cook dinner instead of getting involved in politics or the military, and young chaps speak to their higher officers with the highest respect even if they feel they're wrong.
He's closed-minded to top that, and this isn't to say that Vincent isn't hypocritical, either.
Alignment:God Good
Equipment: lol smokes and a few knives? XD Maybe some rope, the standard soldier travelling pack?
Weapons: A broad sword he infuses with fire magic and the aforementioned knives, varying in size (~4)
Magic: Vincent's magical abilities are aligned solely with the fire element. He can create short bursts or burning waves though he does so with his sword, using his magic more to enhance his attacks with physical strength than to operate just magic or physical weapon.
Combat: Vincent thrives on close combat, relying on strength a lot to overpower his opponents. He's faster than the average soldier, though not enough to completely blow an enemy out of the water before they have a chance to attack. Parries he frequently tries to double as an attack, or something to shock or stun to give him enough time to slide an attack in. Feints aren't unheard of in this man's repertoire, but they also aren't used nearly as often as his other abilities.
Sword/magic abilities: all don't vary too much from each other, most of them seem to be
a.) slashes and a line of fire spits out at enemy/crawls across the ground towards enemy
b.) stabs the ground and like a volcano the ground will erupt under enemy's feet in a burst of fire.
c.) concentrates it enough to create a massive fiery ring around enemy, the fire from this ring then closes in on them.
d.) focuses energies through his body and as he swings his sword over his head, a tidal wave of fire 9ft. high and nearly 15ft. long rips through the battlefield to engulf everything (friend or foe) in its path. *this does need some time to conjure, can use once per battle, and ideally be in good health.
Intelligence: B
Strength: B
Speed: D
Stamina: C
Magic: B
Fighting Technique: C
Flaws: At times lets his anger take control entirely of what he does, very pushy and is incredibly abrasive when he wants his own way. Can't seem to let things go and looks for other ways, unhealthy ones, to distract himself from his problems.
History:
This man was part of the Crepusculum navy and married Hala Loque (also known as Jasmine Loque's mother) - sent on a 'suicide' mission by Yeligar Maelstrom, there was an accident in which it appeared that Vincent had died. Jasmine was only three years old when this happened.
Thirteen years later, he is still hiding on his family--ultimately having faked his death to protect them. He was afraid his enemies would turn to his wife and daughter if he did something to anger them...which happened usually. He hoped this way they'd be safe.
Sumata Arc:
Having been reunited with his family after the truth finally came out, Vincent had been acting as an...individual of sorts in the demise of the Sumata. He worked closely with Yeligar for the most of it, separating and joining Queen Milicia Lunestise with the Crepusculum army some time after. She promised him that after Trucido's defeat he would be returned to his homeland of Ignis to further serve the military there.
In his adventures he had also angered Queen Lilith Damnedblood, Trucido's wife, and as revenge set out to murder both Hala and Jasmine Loque--she only succeeded in Hala's murder. Vincent having lost his wife let his anger control him and he nearly lost his daughter too because of it. She left him, only to return later where they patched up their "issues" with each other as father/daughter.
He bought a house in Ignis and was also reunited with a girl whom he'd thought he had a one-night stand with, Melanie Hatt. He told Jasmine she was probably not going to stick around for too long.
...nearly a year later and Melanie is still living there. Jasmine's moved out angrily (not that she was home much anyway), she and Melanie can't see things eye to eye. Vincent is now engaged to the woman and apparently is expecting another child now. He himself avoids home as much as possible because he's unsure if he's willing to re-settle back into a family life, and has let events from his past irritable and bitter as of late.
He's been slipping with his duties in the army and family. Will there be a point that he'll ever get back to his feet?
