So, Lilith is so going to the ball, which means she's definitely getting to meet (for the first time) a lot of characters.
Depending on what type of interactions some of your folks' characters has with her, they may receive a flower (or some other strange plant) from her.
If your character is knowledgeable in this field, they will know the following:
Achillea Millefolia = war
Aloe = grief
Asphodel = "My regrets follow you to the grave" (which isn't entirely true, apparently--the Asphodel was the flower of Hades and since then was also another flower for the god of the underworld, interestingly enough)
Basil = Best wishes
Begonia = beware
Bellflower = gratitude
Blue periwinkle = friendship
Calendula = joy
Hemlock = you will be my death
Hyacinth (purple) = I am sorry/sorrow
Hyacinth (yellow) = jealousy
Jasmine = amiability, sensuality, grace/elegance
Lavender = distrust
Lily (orange) = hatred
Meadowsweet = uselessness
Monkshood = beware, a deadly foe is near
Oak leaves = bravery
Rose (black) = death
Smilax = loveliness
Thrift = sympathy
Wallflower = faithfulness
Those are a few that I could actually SEE her using, though others may show up. Those that are not on this list that I use I'll throw in an OOC kind of comment in the thread, otherwise, refer to this list.
Hey, your characters don't have to know a thing about plants. They could be happy receiving a monkshood flower and not know that someone may be out to kill them XD
Whether she's at the ball or not, she'll most likely throw random things like these at people in any thread. It's just nice for people to have a list to refer to ^^ At least the same one that I've been using, anyway.
