Following Fate to a Field of Ice? ~Open~

[Liatra]

Liatra pulled the hood of her cloak up, shivering. She looked around at the field, somewhat annoyed by how she had ended up there.
"Fate brought me here, though I'm fairly certain Fate had no intention of me freezing to death!" she hissed under her breath as she walked slowly, carefully, through the field, trying not to slip on the ice. She knew there was some reason she was there, but was quickly losing patience (and body heat). Why had Fate lead her here?

[Lamuria Nerat]

A strange figure lay on the ground, slowly, but surely, freezing to death. He(?) had passed out, despite the fur-trimmed cloak he wore to cover himself. In one hand, he held one of the Icy Roses, but his eyes were closed, and he was barely breathing, his hair - a pinkish shade of brown - was encrusted with ice crystals.

[Liatra]

After almost slipping and falling yet again, Liatra noticed the man (at least, she thought it was a man) lying there and frowned.
"Not a good place to take a nap..." she muttered to herself as she made her way over to the person as quickly as she could to see if he or she was still alive. As she got closer she saw the person was still breathing, but still couldn't really tell the gender. She the the Icy Rose in his/her hand and suppressed a smirk. What a fool, coming out here, nearly freezing to death, for the sake of a flower. She nudged the person with her foot cautiously.

[Lamuria Nerat]

He stirred slightly, moaning a little in his high-yet-dusky voice. He felt warm... how dare this person disturb his warmth... They wanted hiim to wake up, but he wouldn't, no, not here, not when sleep meant such dreamy warmth and waking was a harsh, frozen reality....

[Liatra]

Liatra heard the voice and decided it was a woman.
"You have to get up or you'll soon freeze to death, ma'am." she said, though not moving to help her. It was her own stupid fault she was out here nearly dying for a flower to begin with.

[Lamuria Nerat]

Lamuria stirred.

"Let me... go to sleep... into the warmth. Warmth, like Santo-Luce, or Alberisato, my homeland..." He moved a little, not really sure what he was saying, but anything to make her go away. It didn't really register on his cold-addled mind that she thought he was a woman...

[Liatra]

Liatra was tempted to let the crazy lady stay out there and die. Very tempted. Then she shivered again and remembered why she was out here.
Fate brought me here... Then Fate meant for us to meet... Very well then.. she thought as she knelt down to try and pick the woman up.
"You have to get up or you will die."

[Lamuria Nerat]

He tried to fight her, but that caused him to wake into a life of searing agony as he tried to move frozen limbs... and then her words hit him, and he remembered the old man's advice.

"If you decide you truly want to continue, be warned. If you start to feel warm adn sleepy, find help fast. Whatever you do; don't fall asleep."

He would have died if it weren't for her.

He allowed her to help him to his feet, still clutching the rare prize he had gained, though not sought.

"Thank you, milady..." he replied faintly. "Would you help me to shelter? I.... don't know if I can make it on my own."

[Liatra]

She sighed and pulled the woman's arm across her shoulders, holding her up. She looked back towards the town she had come from, which was quite a way away.
"Fate meant for me to find you, certainly not to simply let you die. Just help me out, okay?"

[Lamuria Nerat]

He nodded.

"Fate? Just as the Winds brought me to this frozen wasteland..." He shrugged, or as well as he could, and hobbled along with Liatra's help.

[Liatra]

After slipping and almost falling a good few dozen times, Liatra finally made it out of the field and to the town, with a bit of help from the woman.
"Do you know anyone nearby who you can stay with?" she asked, hoping that she wouldn't have to find a place for them to both stay and have to take care of her. Yes, it was a little heartless, but she was more than a little frozen herself.

He shook his head. "No... I've never been here before..."
