I hold my hat tightly on my head as the harsh winds outside the city borders rush unforgivingly against me. The cigarette clasped in my mouth lies unlit due to the dry, gusting winds as I traverse through the plains of Roccia, a rather foolish gambit, but a necessary one for the job I'm on.
Having been contacted several days ago in my office in Crepsuculum Kingdom, I took to the streets to collect some information regarding an interesting case. It all starts with a concerned wife that's been receiving some rather...odd letters from her husband while he's been out performing Mining jobs under his Foreman. Strange jobs and odd behaviour from his boss had put the man, along with his fellow coworkers, in a state of anxiousness, but not to the point where they were about to do anything about it, but that didn't stop his wife. Taking matters into her own hands, she contacted me and hired me to do some looking into this whole ordeal, and what I've dug in my travels is rather interesting.
Having finally arrived, I enter the small town of Galmath, the Mining Town, and brush myself off of dirt and other various grime that's found it's way onto me. Having only now realized how parched I am, I find my way to the small Bar/Inn for something to quench my thirst. Entering through the old-timey swinging doors, I'm greeted by the stench of heavy ale and musk from the various large fellows that inhabit the inner "sanctum" of this tiny pub.
Finding a place as far away from the behemoths as I can, I order some water and something to chow on, as more of a "pick-me-up," more so then anything. Waiting for my order, I realize I still hold a cigarette clenched between my lips and light it. Taking a moment to savour the flavour, I lean back and exhale before I pull out my notebook and start going over the details of my case, out of habit, more then anything.

As the dusty winds blew in from the plains into the swinging bar doors, in stumbled a dust covered blond teenager, his yellow shirt stained brown and his black shorts looked even darker than they should be. The teen didn't seem to have any idea what this place was until he had a good look at it, upon realizing it was a bar he smiled weakly at the occupants who were staring at him.
Guess I stand out... he thought, shaking the dust out of his hair and clothes before walking to the bar stool. The beautiful bartender behind the counter walked over to his spot, seeing as he just came in and she just finished serving the other customer.
"H-Hey, um, I'm looking for someone. He's um, tall, black clothes, silvery hair, kinda looks like an old man but he's not?" Tidus asked.
"Sorry, haven't seen anyone like that in these parts." the woman shook her head, quickly going to business. "Do you want a drink? Something to eat?"
"Water please," Tidus asked, coughing a little from some leftover dust.
No sooner did Tidus order some water more people walked into the bar, unlike Tidus who stumbled in, these people walked in with purpose. These men wore thick padded clothes and had various sort of odd protective gear on them.
"Who are those guys?" Tidus wondered aloud.
"Miners," the fellow next to him answered, "The ones that were not in the mine when the incident this morning happened."
"Miners huh, well- wait, incident? What incident?" Tidus asked.
"Didn't hear huh," the man frowned, "A section of the mine collapsed, with some workers in there nonetheless. And the rumor going around is the boss isn't even gonna get them out."

I keep my eyes focused on the young Blonde kid and the miners that enter the bar as they chat amongst themselves. Pressing my hand against my ear, I seep it into the shadows and shift it closer to the small grouping, so as to get a better sense of what their saying. Hearing about the trapped workers and the Foreman's adamant efforts against rescuing them, I frown as I pull my hand off my ear. "Seems like things are going into motion sooner then I expected. It sounds like reason enough for me to move, but I need a better understanding of the situation. Best get to work." I think to myself as I rise from my seat, leave my due payment for the meal on the table, and approach the counter.
"Gentleman," I say with a tip of my hat as I reach into my suit and flip out a small PI badge. "I'm Dios Sarvo, of Sarvo's Investigation Services from Crepusculum Kingdom. I've been hired on a case relative to your Foreman and certain extenuating circumstances that have caused me to question the ethics and purpose that are backing his work here. If possible, I'd like to get some statements regarding..." was all I could say before I noticed the slowly escalating shouting and noises that came from beyond the bar's flapping doors. "Umm...actually, hold that thought please..." I remark before quickly making my way outside the bar.
Following the echoing and continually escalating sounds, I finally arrive at the origin of the commotion; the collapsed mining shaft. Things, having moved far beyond the point I had expected, had broken down to shouted arguments, physical scuffles and what looked like the initial phases of a riot. No sooner do I think this thought, then do the more violent of the burly workers begin to turn their frustration onto the small town before them and begin to rush in my direction, a look of unbound rage locked dead in their eyes...

Tidus was gonna drill this person for info when this guy approached the bar counter, he heard him introduce himself as a PI.
An investigator? Does this have to do with the mine...? Tidus thought, following the guy as he ran outside hurriedly. Hmm...maybe I can help him with his case...
With that thought in his head he walked outside as well, "Excuse me, but I would-"
He stopped short when he saw several burly workers run to this guy. Tidus was around Volkmar long enough to recognize pure rage when he saw it, he shot out from his spot in front of the investigator. Drawing Brotherhood.
"Stay back, I got this." he assured.

I'm thrown off for a second by the appearance of the young blonde kid from the tavern jumping in front of me. "Didn't seem the type..." I thought to myself quickly, but you can't trust a book by it's covers I suppose. Pulling my gloves tight, I grab the kid by the shoulder and pull myself close. "We need to take these guys down alright. No lethal force, just put 'em to sleep, got it?" I whisper quickly before running forward towards the slew of angered miners.
Snapping my fingers, I form an orb of dark energy and lob it towards the enraged mod. Hitting the ground, the blob splashes out into the form of a shadowy spiders web, snaring several of the assailants shadows and halting their movements. Charging forward I grab my two butterfly knives and use them like fist-fillers, as I hammer one of the miners squarely in the jaw, causing his body to hang limply within the grasp of my web. Working my way through the ranks, I call my shadowy web back to me, throw it on the ground, and phase through it, popping out from the shadows behind a rock, allowing me to watch the situation and gain some perspective on what to do next.

Tidus nodded and watched in awe as this stranger constructed some sort of shadowy magic on the rouge men. Ensnaring some of miners and dealing with them, in his amazement he nearly forgot one miner rushing to him. He dodged a fist and kicked him back for some space.
Non lethals huh, that I can do he thought, running forward and punching the miner's chest with his metal glove, then back flipping. His shoes hitting the miners jaw and causing him to land on his back.
"And that's the way you do it," he smirked, turning to his current ally. "Hey, what's going on here? Are these the miners from that mine in the town?"
