It had been the first time Seigmand had ever been to this part of Vuoto, and so far he'd hoped it would be his last. The island itself was not exactly a welcoming place, but there was an uncomfortable and foreboding sensation in the air the closer he got to Angelus's domicile.
What made him more uncomfortable was the boy himself; this Sumata of Earth they had let slip into the folds of their organization. There were many aspects about the boy that he didn't trust. As Seigmand neared the entrance to a ruined castle said to be where Angelus resided, he pondered how he should go about this.
The boy is clearly powerful, and I'm not sure if I'm strong enough to battle him one on one. Especially as the only info I have on him is what little Trucido told me. Should I create a mock friendship with him? Or merely confront him directly?
The thoughts echoed in his head in a constant conflict. But he would have to decide quickly, for the shattered doorway to the castle laid before him, and there was no more walkway to go.
"Angelus! Are you here? It's Seigmand. I was hoping we could talk." He shouted at the surrounding area.

*A minute later the air seemed to get colder, making shivers go up your spine type cold.*
Angelus: Yes what is it? *Angelus was behind him. This wasn't where Angelus lived, he actually lived with Trucido at the moment but he would come here often.*Please speak now....

Seigmand whirled around to meet the somber man's eyes. He smiled to himself. So the man has an aura you can feel when you get too close. Hmm...interesting. Holding his grin he stepped forward, keeping only a couple feet away from Angelus.
"Ah yes, how are you today Angelus? I understand you are a man of few words, so I shall keep myself brief. Your origin betrays you Angelus." With this Seigmand retained his warm expression, save for his eyes. They were hard as stone, scanning Angelus' face and body language for any hint.
"You are a man who came from Earth. I've heard how Trucido and you met, and despite your warmer beginning you now serve him. A little too eagerly if you ask me. I'm not here to defend Trucido, or even the goals of the Sumata itself. But I came here for one answer. Your motives; what are they in all this?"
Seigmand paused for a moment before continuing. He had decided on his course of action. I'll push him as hard as I can in this. Worst case scenario is he'll draw his blade, and I think I can escape death if nothing else. But first I need to see how he reacts.

*He looked at him for a moment trying to figure out why he came all this way to ask this.*
Angelus: To end humanity. *He answered blankly, keeping his hands in his pockets.*

"That's a little vague wouldn't you say Angelus? After all, if you want to end humanity, then do you intend to kill yourself at the end? How about the rest of the Sumata, hmmm? We're all human Angelus, at least all of us except maybe Trucido."
"Perhaps I should rephrase the question for you. What does killing humanity do for you?" Seigmand chuckled to himself. "What, I suppose you'll sit atop a pile of bodies and declare yourself king of all you survey? I guess anyone that can live in this place probably wouldn't mind it so much."

*He smiled grimly at him.*
Angelus: For you to call me human... is a laugh... *He turned to him showing his left eye which was all darkness.* I'm less human then you think. And yes, a good amount of the Sumata are human I suppose I'll have to kill them too, maybe I should start with you. What do you think?

It was Seigmand's turn to get serious. His eyes turned menacing, unflinching towards Angelus' passing threat. "Careful Angelus, and know your place. Trucido needs the thirteen of us royals before he needs a brat from the other side. You have no influence on Earth, of that I'm sure. So in the end, you're just muscle. You'd do well to quell those threats of yours, lest they lead you to an early grave."
Seigmand stood his ground, his hands left calmly at his side. Though he put up a convincing front, inside his mind twitched like a hair trigger, waiting to see if his words had pushed the boy too far. Would he strike out? Will I be able to fend him off? These questions and more stormed inside Seigmand's mind as he tried to keep himself calm, yet ready to move at a moment's notice.
"But my question remains unanswered Angelus. What good does xenocide do to you? Please tell me you at least have reason for condemning an entire species to extinction."

Angelus: Does he? *Everything around him started to wilt.* You'll be surprised how useless to Trucido you really are.
*He turned his back to him.*
Angelus: You want my reason? Because of what I am, that's it, I looked as an animal, I'm treated like one... so why should they get any less treatment?

Seigmand looked the black-eyed man up and down, trying to gauge his feelings and temperament from his body language. He saw that Angelus was telling the truth, for the most part. It was clear he only wanted genocide, but there was something that he was holding back on. Once again Seigmand looked death in the face and continued to push.
"So what, that's it? Friendless? Unloved in your youth? Jeez, most people go join a club or something when they're in that position or they get a hobby. I don't think genocide is exactly what we here on this planet turn to Angelus."
Seigmand placed his hand on Angelus' shoulder, letting it sit there idly. "You know Angelus, if you want people to stop treating you like dirt, then you have to change your attitude. All this, chilling aura and killing plants stuff. I've seen the way you act in the meetings, and its no wonder no one like you. If you want a friend you help you fit in, I could help." The way Seigmand acted and talked, Angelus couldn't be sure if he was being sincere or joking about the last statement, yet Seigmand said no more. He only looked straight at Angelus, waiting for a response.

*Angelus blinked, did he really want to be his friend? That was something he wasn't used to usually people chased him with axes and pitchforks before wanting to be his friend. Then someone called out to him.*
Aku no Tenshi: Do not let this man get to you... he has foul intentions, using you most likely.
*Angelus glanced to his side to see the spirit that only he could see.*
How can you tell?
Aku no Tenshi: Anyone with half a mind can tell that.
*Angelus suddenly went on guard mode pushing his hand away.*
Angelus: You don't actually want to be my friend, do you?

Seigmand saw two things that surprised him. The first was the fact that Angelus seemed to be contemplating his offer in the first place. In all honesty he could use the man's strength and even one more added to his cause was a benefit, but he didn't expect the man to want his companionship. The second was something he caught out of the corner of his eye; an intent glance Angelus made off to the side. Did he see something? Was there someone watching them? Seigmand turned to look at the same direction, but saw only the empty stretch of ruins and salted earth.
He chose to ignore it, turning back to the now defensive Angelus. Something had upset him, but that would have to wait for another time to ponder. "Look Angelus, you and I both have something to gain in a partnership with each other. I see you thirst for companionship like any man does, and I need allies to protect my kingdom. Call it using each other, call it friendship. Heck call it an alliance if you want. I've rarely seen a difference in all my years. All I know is I have my own interests to worry about and I'd rather not join humanity in the abyss of your machinations. Do we have an understanding?" Seigmand kept his hand outstretched towards Angelus, seeking his hand to shake on the arrangement, his face with a neutral expression.

*Angelus shook his head turning away.*
Angelus: I don't need anything you offer and I certainly do not need your friendship... *He closed his eyes in thought.*
Maybe this man is telling the truth? Maybe... at least he's not one of the Sumata that shove me away... I should at least give him a warning.
Angelus: Listen... on the trip to Earth stay as far away from Trucido as possible... alright?

Seigmand raised an eyebrow in surprise at Angelus' last remark. Hmm... did he actually give me something useful? It could be he's just trying to get rid of me, but something about the way he's acting makes me think he's being honest. He looked the boy over. Something about him seemed... unsure? No, more like he was reviewing something in his head.
Should I push further? No, better to leave him as he is now. For whatever reason he at least sees some reason to help me. Better I leave him with that and slowly try to get him over on my side.
Seigmand gave an honest smile towards Angelus. "Know this Angelus, should the information you gave me turn out to be true, than you will have my thanks, and my trust; something I don't easily give out to people. Though I understand the difficulty of putting your life in anyone's hand but your own, you will realize that you can't see your true desires come to fruition without others behind your goal. When the day comes that you understand this, come find me." With that Seigmand gave a slight nod before turning away from Angelus to begin his trip back home.

*He nodded.*
... I just don't want to kill you... Trucido must be stopped...
*He then leaped into the air flying off.*
