Having heard the news of a ball, Caramel decided to make an appearance and see what became of the evenings events. She had conjoured a long elegant looking gown from her homeland, and she wore jewels fitting for a princess. She had used a spell to grow out her hair, and it was done up quite elegantly.
She was Escourted by Kaku, who wore a fine and rather expensive looking suit. His hair was tied back, and He wore a tophat. Caramel looked around for anyone she knew. Since she was so elegantly dressed in comparison to how she normally looked, she was hoping to gain some attention this evening. She wandered away from her cousin, who seemed preoccupied with the tapestries, and slipped into the crowd, although being a cat, she stood out quite well.

"Caramel?" Tempest was dressed in his people's formal robes. His hair still stood up in it's usual way, except now it had feathers sticking out of it. "You look... uhhh... nice?"

Angelus stayed silent for a moment before speaking once more, "You know what they say about revenge... you better be ready to dig two graves..." Angelus started to walk away from Volkmar, "Something to think about I suppose."

"I don't care. I am just a mercenary." He said as he looked around for someone else he was looking for. Wonder if she or Tidus is here?

Caramel turned, and smiled as Tempest Addressed her. "Why thank you." She grinned. "You don't look half bad yourself." She walked over and poked the feathers sticking out of his hair. She grinned and her eyes became rather catlike, and she could tell her feline instincts were surfacing.

"O-oh... Well... ahh.. Good night, eh?" He quickly looked up at the ceiling, forgetting he was inside. "W-well," Tempest looked back down, not knowing how to phrase his next question. "Would you like to dance? From what I heard about a Ball, there's dancing and such," Tempest blurted out.

Caramel blinked, her attention from the feathers was distracted for the moment.
She gave him a bit of a questioning look, but shook her head and smiled. "Sure, I don't see why not.... I must warn you, it's been over 60 years since I've danced, so I may be a bit rusty." She said. It seemed so normal for her to state that she was over 60. yet her appearance suggested she was no more than in her late teens. "Lead the way, my good man! I've only crashed balls, never danced at one."

Tempest sighed. "Whew, thanks! I don't know anybody here, and I was told that I should have at least have one dance." He started walking toward the dance floor when he stopped. Her last sentence had finally registered in his brain. "60? You don't look like 60 or more years old. Is your people like the fairies?"

She laughed as she headed to the dance floor with him. "I'm no fairy! I'm a sorceress!" She said. "And I'm 85 if you must know. Most Mageians live to be roughly 1000." She explained. "So despite my old age in your world, In mine I'm really quite young." She said.

"W-well, yeah! That... that's what I meant. I wasn't calling you old or anything." He wondered if he should have been more respectful if he had known her age. Nah, she might've scratched the heck out of me with her claws. Besides, she said that she was considered young in her world, so as long as she said she wasn't old, he wouldn't consider her old.

Caramel decided to tease him a little and raised an eyebrow at him. "Oh. Is that so?" She asked. Her face was dead serious, but inside, she was trying so hard not to laugh.

"I-I d-d-didn't m-mean," He was looking kind of particular now. His face was now bright red, and to top it off, he was badly stuttering. He hoped that she wasn't too offended by whatever he had said. Tempest was suddenly wondering where something he could drink would be at. "Umm, th-thirsty... d-drink." With that, Tempest turned around and disappeared into the crowd, trying to find something, anything, to drink.

Faey had been wandering around the ball and noticed a rather odd-lookign person- almost cat-like, but really cool- and she had listened in on the last part of her conversation with a guy, and when he walked away awkwardly she burst out laughing. "I-I'm sorry," she gasped between small laughing fits, "But that was funny as hell!" Then she grinned and held out her hand to shake. "Hi! I'm Faeylinn!"

Kaku was minding his own buisness by the punch bowl when he spotted Tempest. He said nothing, but looked at him with a questioning look. What on earth could have made the lad so flustered?
Caramel couldn't help snickering as Tempest walked away. "Oh that poor boy..." She said to herself. "I don't think he knew I was kidding...XD" She looked somewhat surprized to see a new human approach, but she grinned, causing her fangs to show, and she shook Faey's hand, always eager to meet new people. "I'm inclined to agree..." She said slyly. "I'm Caramel. Caramel Rokkakyu." She said.

Faey's grin got wider. "Nice to meet you! Where are you from?" She asked, tilting her head to the side slightly and then glancing around. Where'd Vaan go off to?..]/i]
