((Alainya, Romulus, Jasmine + whoever else wants to leap in =3))
So, travelling without Andy hadn't been too bad so far. Jasmine was beginning to remember the few basics of spirit channelling her grandmother had taught her (yet sadly was in desperate need of practice), she'd met up with Romulus and Alainya and now the three of them were taking to their own adventure together...
Without Andy. Or Kara.
Jasmine had gone a lot of their trip trying to keep her 'emo thoughts' to herself and tried not to dwell on her friends, and spent a lot of the time quiet while praying a lot for Andy. She tried her best to remain pleasant to Romulus and Alainya though, both of whom she'd grown to accept as good friends as well.
At the moment their travels took them through Guasto, the one country Jasmine had never, ever, ever wanted to visit. She kept quiet of her fears, however, and stuck close to both Romulus and Alainya while keeping her eyes out for her other friends and with the purpose of learning and training.
"At least we should be in Roccia soon," Jasmine spoke finally, "there are such strange beasts out there, and their teeth can be crushed and used in a wide variety of potions..."
She didn't really know what to say, she was just trying to make conversation. And keep her mind off of things like zombies and ghosts and doom.

"Ugh, such a drab stretch of land. I seriously wonder how it is that people here can enjoy this place. I still say we should have taken the longer route through Ketulunanox, but a suppose this will get us to Roccia faster," Romulus stated, trying to put a positive spin on a rather dreary situation.
Glancing at Jasmine, it was obvious to someone with a keen level of observation like Romulus that she was nervous about something related to the land, but he knew nothing more than that. Seeing how hard the girl was trying to keep her wits about her, Romulus patted her on the shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile. "I've heard tales of the beasts that roam here and the restorative powers certain parts of them possess when properly prepared. I would be interested to see the process, but i suppose that means we need said parts, and thusly need to meet the owners of said parts. I vouch that we aim to avoid any creature that decide to wander these hallowed plains unless our travels should deem it necessary."
Romulus himself had been dabbling with his powers when the time presented him with the opportunity to do so, but he was still far from being battle savvy and still far from being able to harness the Alternators abilities to their maximum potential. Looking at the machine that lay attached to his arm, it begins to whirl and hum; the clouds above responding to his alterations and splitting ever so little to let some sun fall onto the wondering trio.

"Of course, the beasts and their bodies do make for great medicines...the hard part is just getting through the meeting with them..."
Jasmine shuddered. Despite being raised as a healer, she hated touching dead things. She could deal with it (obviously as the girl took ingredients from all over the land to make potions and the like always), but she still hated it. What she truly could not stand was something like a ghost turning up...
"I like your plan, Romulus. We avoid them unless they decide not to avoid us so easily," Jasmine said as she fidgeted with her bag uncomfortably. She thought she saw something moving ahead, like a human figure...or two...three...
Perhaps she was seeing things. She blinked and shook her head, figuring she had to be paranoid. At least she hoped she was.

Alainya's eyes did small flicks back and forth around the empty wasteland, watching for any movement in the expanse around them. She kept her hand on the hilt of her sword. Although Alainya wasn't necessarily scared of what could be out in those sullen fields, she didn't want to let her guard down, just in case.
While Jasmine and Romulus talked about the beasts that roamed around in this area, Alainya quietly listened. Even though the three of them had been traveling for a bit, and she had learned to trust them, it still felt awkward to be with them. She was used to traveling alone still, so it was still weird to her.
Alainya continued to twiddle her fingers on her sword's hilt as they walked. Something felt odd walking through the Phanto Plains to Alainya, like something was following them. This place is just getting to me... she thought, but she scanned the area just in case.

((GUYS, L4D SPOOF TIEM Y/N!??!!))
Jasmine stopped suddenly, gripping the handle of her bag tightly. A few more steps in and a figure became clearly visible to the group. It crawled along the ground helplessly and it was...crying? It was a woman draped in a long and flowing dress, with long brown hair curling over her pale shoulders.
She stared at the woman, very unsure of what to do. Her first instinct was to go out and help her...but she sure as hell wasn't going to go out there by herself.
"She looks upset..." Jasmine whispered to the others, unsure if she should feel sympathy or be cautious.

(Oh boy. Sure why the hell not ) The vision of the woman threw him off for a second, his mind going through the same process as Jasmine. Using his Alternator, he changed the reflective properties of the air to create a short range telescope to more closely examine the woman. Unable to glean anything from closer examination, Romulus just about ventures forth to greet her until his eyes catch the glint of her long claw like fingers. His memory suddenly kicking in, he remembers scanning through bestiaries as he looked for experiment materials and came across a page dedicated to this creature. Holding out his hands to stop his cohorts movements, he shoots them a serious glare and leans in close. "Don't be tricked by it's appearance, this creature is as deadly as it is misleading. The creature is an undead horror that uses it's former female appearance to lure unsuspecting travelers to their doom. We must venture to not to make any sudden moves, and we must also be wary against other undead, as they usually travel in groups. No sounds, no lights, and no quick movements, got it?"

Jasmine immediately tensed at the word 'undead', watching the woman who was still obviously moving.
Undead horror. Moving. Travelling in groups...
Jasmine bit her lip, nodding at Romulus and inching closer to Alainya as though it were the way to comfort her. Really in the end it did nothing but she desperately tried to make herself feel better about the experience.
Or rather tried to keep herself quiet. No sounds, no lights, no sudden movements...that was easy enough, right?

((I agree to this plan! Ohohoho~))
Alainya nodded at Romulus' explanation. She slowly unsheathed her sword though just in case, but she stayed in a loose position.
She didn't want to be caught unguarded if that thing decided to attack them, but she also didn't want to startle it. That would probably piss it off enough to attack.
"We'll be fine," Alainya reassured Jasmine when she moved closer. Alainya glanced over at the "woman" before them. It felt like it was watching the three of them.

Jasmine desperately tried to keep calm, hugging close to Alainya for comfort as they moved to avoid the strange, undead creature. Jasmine couldn't help but keep her gaze upon it, and it appeared that it, too kept its own gaze upon them which was only even more unsettling.
As they moved slowly, it threw its arm out at them as though it were reaching helplessly out to them. Its sudden reach however startled Jasmine so much that she shrieked and nearly fell backwards.
As expected, Jasmine's shrieking caused the woman-creature-thing to shriek as well, lifting itself to its feet and violently throwing itself towards the group and lashing something fierce. Jasmine's eyes widened and she shot herself backwards, stumbling over her own feet and screaming even more, becoming obviously useless in this 'battle'.

Alainya's eyes widened when she saw the thing running towards them. It was clearly pissed off, which was not good, since Romulus mentioned they travel in groups.
But she knew she couldn't panic, with Jasmine fumbling all over herself currently, it was just her and Romulus left to fight, and Alainya had a [strong feeling that more were coming.
When the thing was about to slash at them, Alainya quickly put her shield up. The creature started slashing away, and it wouldn't stop. Each slash was pretty strong, pushing her arm back slightly, and even though the shield was holding up, it wouldn't hold up for very long.

The creature's shrieking echoed for miles as it slashed even more at Alainya, trying to claw at the woman's face through the shield. Jasmine's hear beat rapidly and she hid behind Alainya, her skin turning a ghostly white as she stared into those creepy, bright-red eyes...
Through the screaming and the slashing, Jasmine heard something else coming from all sides of them. She turned and instantly grabbed Alainya's side, clutching it tightly as more creatures with torn, discoloured skin and blood-stained faces made themselves more visible and came racing towards them. She shrieked again and her mind blanked out, not even thinking of throwing up a defensive spell as the fear was too great.

Alainya's arm began to get sore from the creature beating on her shield. It was slashing so fast, she couldn't get prepared enough to strike with her sword.
When the creature went to slash again, Alainya smashed it in the head with her shield. The shock from the impact caused her shield to crack, and she knew it would be completely useless soon. Once Alainya hit the creature in the head, it let out another loud shriek and it just... died. Alainya gave a blank stare for a second, "Really...?" she muttered, thinking that these creatures were pathetic now. Even though they had a strong attack force, they were pretty much weak.
Alainya heard Jasmine shriek again, she took a quick glance around to see more of the creatures speeding towards them. She knew this was getting worse by the second, so she had to act fast. She quickly flung her sword towards another one of the things, smashing it in the side of the face with the flat of the blade. This one also just fell down like nothing. This is ridiculous..., Alainya thought. Once again, she flicked her sword towards another, this time she slashed this one's chest open. The creature shrieked with pain and started wildly slashing her claws towards Alainya. She gave this one a hit with the shield like the first one, and knocked it back, but this one just got pissed off anymore. It came running back towards them, and Alainya slashed at it again, this time successfully killing it.
Alainya let out a quick sigh, she hadn't practiced with her sword, so it was quite tiring, and these things slashes are so hard. She glanced to the right, and saw claws come slashing down. Alainya put up her arm to start slashing, but the claws caught on her arm greave. This knocked Alainya's arm down, and it also left huge gashes in the greave, but she was otherwise fine. The creature didn't let up though, and went to slash again, but Alainya blocked it with her shield. This time, the shield split in half, finally becoming completely useless. Alainya decided to dispose of it by throwing it at another creature, making it stagger back.

As the enemies were quick to fall, many more were quick to appear in their places. Doom seemed to close in on both Alainya and Jasmine, and sadly it was Alainya who had the courage to actually do anything about it.
Jasmine cowered, breathing heavily and panicking. This wasn't the time for it, it wasn't at all. Her mother would have told her that, her grandmother would have hit her with her staff and told her that as well. But how could you be brave enough to look something as terrifying as a zombie in the 'eye' and attack? They were practically immortal some of them, you could never be sure if it was finally dead...
'Why can't dead things just stay dead!?!?' she thought to herself as she balled her fists and kept close to Alainya. She screamed again and hissed to herself, "HELP, HELP, please help I don't know what to do..."
She felt an odd warm sensation tingling at her left wrist where her prayer charm was attached. She clenched her fist tightly, slipping a prayer out that reacted by creating a burst of light which formed a shield around the girls and blocking out the creatures. Any of the creatures that entered the perimeters of this shield were zapped by...electricity? Either way, they fell 'dead' and the others made their way towards the shield. Jasmine's eyes widened as she watched the scene.

Alainya took in a quick breath, getting ready to fight again once more. Even though she was defeating them in good time, more and more kept on appearing. To her it felt like they would be fighting forever, until they got tired, and they too, would become one of these creatures...
Just when she was getting ready to start the assault again, Alainya heard Jasmine say something, though she didn't quite understand what she said. Then this burst of light blasted up and around them, protecting them and stopping the creatures in their tracks. Alainya lowered her sword and stared in awe. Did Jasmine create that? She opened her mouth to ask her, but no words came out. It was a pretty impressive sight, since it was stopping all of them from getting anywhere near her and Jasmine.
Alainya looked around and noticed that the number of them were thinning down, slowly, but surely. She let out a sigh of relief, there were a lot of them, and without this "shield", they probably surely would have lost.

The shield died away slowly as the enemies fell in mounds, and before long the commotion that was first caused was finally ceased. When the shield finally died there were only a handful of creatures left to attack them, and as they came running in Jasmine uselessly fell to her knees, hugging herself tightly still enveloped in her panic. She wasn't even sure how she did what she did, she just prayed and prayed hard.
The remaining few monsters violently threw themselves forward, teeth baring and all to attack.
