"Only too true..." Lana responded as one man threw a punch at her. She threw her free hand up to block it, and her foot came down and kicked him hard just underneath the knee. He hit the ground screaming in pain, and she gave him a kick in the head to 'keep him quiet' for a bit. Only shortly after this, she was kicked by a bearded man, dropping her sword in the shock of having been in contact with him.
"Ha. You're defenseless!" he laughed. As she turned to face him, he grabbed her wrist. Lana gave it a sharp twist to escape him, bringing her foot up to kick him in the side of the head. Before he hit the ground she brought her other leg up to kick him hard in the neck. She laughed maniacally as she heard the brutal 'SNAP' that ended his life.
"And you're dead!" she grinned at the dead body.
Yes, this was definitely something that she really needed right about now. In fact, despite her random desire to die at any given moment, she had about everything she could have ever asked for right now: Kicking the crap out of something (without random magic showing up to dutifully kick HERS), future rum, and Ludro. Where she never minded making small talk with Zelos or Xisa (even if they were jerks), Ludro was really the only person she ever grew even remotely attached to since she started training in Nerezza.
He knew how to party. She found ways on her own to have some fun, but she found herself only ever truly smiling when he was there to have fun with her.

Ludro looked at the piles make from kicking the mobs but then he yell "I have 30 and you have 30" they looked at the mob's leader "Hey, Whoever gets him into their pile gets sake on me!" He pulled out two cards and made them about 5 feet long "Let's GO!"

"I like where this is going" Lana grinned, "you're so on!"
And as she said this, she skewered two more with her blade. Through a fit of laughter she said, "Hahaha...mob-kabob..." This was more or less the only time she was allowed to goof off.

Ludro ran to the Mob leader and batted him away from Lana. "The Sake is mine, girl!" he said, he threw a card at the mob leader's foot and made him trip.

"Hahaha...I don't think so!" Lana replied, laughing as she lunged to the mob leader herself, and epically kicked him high up in the air.
"The fall should break a few bones, I hope." Another poor sucker came up behind her with an axe, raising it above her head as she reverted the direction of her blade and stabbed backwards, under her arm but through the man's chest.
"I love this sword..." she said calmly and looked behind her, "it's got a good reach."

"Did you forget about the cards?" Ludro said as a card stopped his fall. The card fling him over to his pile at a fast speed. "That Sake is MINE!" he said with a laugh.

Lana's eyes widened as she, basically, watched her sake run away on her. "Damn you!" she said, and then took out her 'anger' on the next guy who came up beside her. She turned quickly to kick him hard in the ribs.

As Ludro looked around he saw that was nobody was left standing. "Lana, I think we can go and get our Rum and Sake, what do you say?" He asked.

Lana blinked. "A-already? Wow. That was quick."
In all of the commotion she really hadn't noticed how quickly she and Ludro had 'dealt' with the mob of men. She looked around and took the liberty of rubbing her blade along one of the guys' clothes to wipe off as much blood as she could from it. As she stepped towards Ludro, she sheathed her sword, gave one guy one more good ol' kick to the ribs, and grinned.
"Alright, Captain Gamblington. Time to warm up to a few rounds of rum," she said, coming up right beside him.

"Alright" Ludro said as they walked into the bar. They sat down at the table and Ludro order A pint of Rum of Lana, and a bottle of Sake for himself. The waitress came back with their drinks.
"So, what have you been up to? I have not seen you for like a month!" he said before he took a sip from his bottle.

Upon receiving the drink, Lana immediately took a long sip of rum and laid back in her chair, completely relaxed.
"Oh...you know, nothing but the usual. Slicing up my arms, getting my arse kicked, coming only a thread away from death but being saved by The Boss, and then again by the same guy trying to kill me...nothing out of the ordinary, really," she responded as casually as she could, though she did sound slightly irate as she did so.
She swung one of her arms over the back of the chair, resting her head on her shoulder as she asked him, "So? What about you?"

"Well, I have been at our naval base and been inspecting the warship. God that was boring." Ludro said. "I heard that Damnedblood has a new buddy. You have any Idea on who it is?"

"Ah. Well, I tell you that things just haven't been the same without you, you know," she gave him a bit of a wink and then leaned over, playing with her glass a bit. "As for this 'buddy' you're talking about? I haven't a clue. I know I saw Damnedblood with some guy--kinda cute--kicked my butt. That's the guy who was gonna do me in."

"I think that was it. It was that a man with his eyes glowing with Darkness." Ludro said as he finished his Sake "I thought that the kinda weird. A person with a glowing black eye. Heh, Waiter, I need some Rum!"

"Yep, that's definitely him, then," Lana downed a large portion of her pint, "thinking of tracking him down, if I can. Wanna find out how a guy hangin' with Damnedblood like that didn't just, you know, lemme have it."
She gave her glass a bit of a smack on the side. "Don't know why the boss even bothered to keep me alive, anyway. He'd rather toy with me and watch me writhe in pain than die..." she looked straight ahead at Ludro, "the guy's effed, you know?"
