Having left Crepusculum behind, Tempest had fallen asleep on a cloud. He awoke to the clash of thunder right above him. He only had time to say "What the - " before a thunderbolt shot into the middle of the cloud he was laying on and broke it up. He fell to the ocean. He tried to hover, but the wind distracted him, and he splashed into the surface of the ocean. Instantly, the electricity he had built up in his body dispersed, temoraily lighting up his surroundings. Tempest saw nothing as the electricity calmed down around him, plunging him back into darkness. "H-help!" he shouted as salt water got into his mouth. He tried to stay afloat, but his clothes were slowly dragging him down.

Dagonae heard a commotion and ran towards the noise, peering over the side of the boat he saw someone panicking in the water. He unbuckled his pants and took off his shirt, diving into the water with his boots still on. He swam over to the man, hoping the boat would stop.

Tempest saw someone swimming toward him before lack of oxygen made him black out. When he came to, he was lying on what felt like a boat deck. He sat slowly up and looked around. "What happened, where am I?"

Dagonae stood over him, smiling. He's all right! He thought, overjoyed. "You're on a boat in Diosis Piscina... How the heck did you end up in the middle of the ocean?" Dagonae asked.

"Would you believe... I floated here on a cloud?" Tempest stood up, grabbing his cloak and wringing it out. "I fell asleep and lost track where I was drifting. What's the closest country?" Tempest asked, still looking up at the storm.

Dagonae shrugged. "No clue, I just got on a boat... I'm going wherever it takes me." He smiled and offered his hand. "I'm Dagonae"

Tempest took the hand, "Tempest." He looked around again, his eyes now turning a slight blue color. "At least that was the only storm within 10 miles of us."

"Yeah, I tend to not notice that kind of thing.. I think that all weather is the same. But it never hurts to be ready for storms.... How were you floating on a cloud?" He asked.

"Well, there's no real way to say it except for the magic in my body, lightning and air." Tempest tried to fling the water out of his hair, then continued. "I don't understand it much myself, except that I knew I could always do it." He noticed a small white dot in the horizon, but paid no attention to it. "So, what do you do for a living?"

"I'm a Metal Smith from Chalybs..." He motioned towards the Tomahawks at his side and the dagger on his chest. "I make beautiful weapons, one of the best in all of Crepusculum. I don't mean to brag, but I'm just relaying information I hear quite a bit. What do you do for a living?" Dagonae asked in reply.

"I travel around," replied Tempest. "I'm trying to find my father, but if I need money, I do an odd job here and there." The white dot came closer and Tempest saw it was a dove. His eyes widened some as he saw it had something around it's leg.
