((Vincent and Lana are totally in this but anyone else can leap in if they feel like they just wanna do something, too )) Vincent's first stop of many was the land of Alberisato. It was mid afternoon at the moment, and he just finished passing through a small village on the way to Nemus - there, he would gather a few more supplies, collect a bit more information on the lovely queen of the country, and perhaps hide out a bit in the forest. The citizens of Alberisato gave him accusing glares as he stepped past, however. They weren't outright rude to him when he asked them for water, but they were reluctant to help him. His tanned skin made it obvious he came from Ignis background, and that spelled bad news for those living in a forested land. Which meant he'd probably take some cover soon and continue on by nightfall. He hated coming here.

Not too far away there came a figure ahead, striding proudly down the road that came right from Nemus itself. It was a tall figure, a woman, about six feet high and with red hair and grey eyes. At her side was her longsword and she wore black and red clothing...
Captain Lana Princel had just finished taking care of some business in Nemus. She hurried along, a bag clutched tightly in her right hand.
She cared nothing for the tanned, blond-haired man coming up in the distance.

Vincent stopped and stared ahead.
"If I didn't know better, I'd say that was one of the Sumata Captains...alone, even," he said to himself, a grin coming to his face. She seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, and also seemed to be guarding something.
Curiousity got the best of him. This was definitely something he wanted to take a look into. As she neared, he stepped a foot or so off of the road.
"....Captain Princel," he said to her as she came up closer.

"Stay out of my way," Lana simply spat. She made no eye contact with Vincent, nor did she care to. She had something she had to get back to Nerezza, and Nerezza was where she was going as she continued her way past Vincent.

Vincent's grin widened as she walked past, and he sighed. He only let the captain get away so far before he came running up behind her.
"Hey, I didn't address you for the sake of doing it - you need to stop for a moment," he said.

Lana growled frustratedly, hearing the footsteps coming up behind her. As Vincent neared, she whirled around and kicked at him.
"You wanna play, buddy? I don't stop for anybody, now screw off," she shot at him. She stopped, but she backed away from him. The moment she was sure he'd leave her alone she'd take off again.

"You're a fairly new captain, aren't you? I don't remember seeing you before," Vincent said, almost gleefully striking up a conversation, "you seem like you're in a bit of a hurry - what are you carrying, there?"
He kept his distance, but walked around in front of her to block her path. Being that she was a captain, he expected her to be prepared to attack at any given moment, and she appeared to be a woman of close combat given her nature.

"I said screw off. Who the hell are you?" Lana promptly attached the bag she was carrying to her belt and brought her hand up to the hilt of her sword. "Where did you come from and what business do you have here right now pissing me off?"
She glared at him, and watched carefully for any movement he'd make.

Vincent chuckled.
"You don't need to know who I am," he said as he respectively reached for his own sword, "you just need to tell me what it is you're doing and what you've got there - possibly hand it over to me, my dear."
He readied himself and stared into her cool grey eyes. This wasn't going to go down well, that's for sure.

Lana's eyes narrowed and she sharply whipped out her longsword.
"**** you! You're from Ignis and Santo-Luce!" she snarled before she lunged at Vincent. This guy was asking for it, and damn was he ever going to get it. No one stood in the way of Lana Princel, no one told her what to do, and no one ever called her "my dear" anything.
She swung her sword quickly at his neck, she didn't even have to take a lot of steps to reach him with her blade - one decapitation would end this little spat and shut his trap.

Vincent automatically pulled out his own sword and instinctively blocked Lana's first attack, throwing her quickly off of him and putting some distance between them.
"So are you," Vincent announced with a big, toothy grin. He twirled his blade in his hand before he came at her himself, swinging his blade in a vertical way at her.

Lana's blade came up and quickly met Vincent's with another CLANG!. She whirled her sword around and took a shot at his mid-section.

Vincent leaped back when she stabbed at him. He truthfully hadn't seen it coming, and so his side was sharply sliced in the stomach area. It wasn't deep, but it was enough to ruin a good white shirt like the one he had on at the moment.
He slashed at her again, though.

"Ha!" Lana leaped back as he took another swing at her, and she ducked off to the side before taking another lunged swing at him again herself. She moved even faster now than she did before. As she came up, she kicked upward at his chin as hard as she could.

Vincent easily countered the swinging of the blade. Real easily.
The kick to the chin was not easily avoided, however. Her foot came up and popped him hard, and he swore he felt each and ever nerve in his teeth scream in agonizing pain.
His first reaction to being kicked however, was to sharply fling his own leg out and kick into her torso area, into the diaphragm more specifically
