Ruby Hart, the captain of Albersato, was running like a chicken without it's head. The Queen, has been bedridden for a month, because the pregnancy. She had to do most of the outside of the castle work, and then check-up on the queen. She could had someone else check up on her, but she preferred to check Lilith personally. "My Queen, are you fine, today?" She ask as she entered the room.

When Ruby walked in, Lilith was out of bed. She sat by her bedroom window, a peaceful and happy air about her just as a flower would have sitting in the sun like she was. She ran her hand gently over the bulge that was her stomach, she could feel the baby moving.
"I'm feeling well today, Ruby," Lilith spoke colloquially, "however I do miss being out in my gardens, my forest..."
She stopped stroking her stomach for a moment and stared with a hard tone outside. In an instant, she was on her feet and moved towards her wardrobe, digging in it as she said, "Let's go out for a walk today. I need to get out and I can't stay inside like this all the time."

"Are you sure, My Queen?" She asked, as she looked at her. She was pregnant, and since her marriage was not announced, rumors are going to start. "I mean we could walk in your room, or in the hall."

Lilith shook her head and pulled out a large and fuzzy brown coat. It was very elegant looking, and as she slid it over her body the large coat covered her well enough that...well, it looked more like she was wearing a large coat.
She smiled.
"Yes, I want to go out. Let's go out to my garden, to Mother Tree, through the town..."

She watched as Lilith put on the coat, and then she smiled. "Ok then, my lady." She said as she stood next to her queen. She then put her arm around hers.

Lilith gladly linked arms with Ruby and they set out from the castle. As they moved along the cobblestoned walkway she smiled brightly, vines of lilies and roses blooming as the two ladies walked past them.
"I wonder what we shall name it..." Lilith spoke softly, barely above a whisper to Ruby as they walked along the garden, the plants seeming to bend towards the ladies. Lilith smiled to them and ran her fingers along petals of flowers as they walked.
"Ruby. How has my kingdom been outside of the castle walls as of late?" she asked, her voice louder now.

"Your kingdom is fine, milady." she said as she walked with her. "Everything has been since you have been in bed rest." She looked around, as saw the flowers, "They look like they really missed you."

"As I've missed them," Lilith spoke softly, stopping where she was and admiring the garden around her. She looked past the trees and could barely see the top of the Mother Tree in the distance. She gave a slight pull at Ruby's arm as she continued walking, moving to take the off-road path to the sacred tree.
"Let's go see her. I have been away from her for too long."

"To Mother Tree?" She asked him. "As you wish, my queen. But why? Does she talk to you?" She always wondered why she would visit that tree so periodically. It is a beautiful site, but she has seen it enough to make the image in her mind.

Lilith smiled and glanced back at Ruby.
"Of course she does. She talks to all of us, but only a few of us open ourselves enough to hear what she says," she spoke gently, though at the back of her mind she almost feared facing the tree again. Mother Tree was not happy with what she was doing, and it seemed to have become even more upset since she and Trucido married.
She thought at some point it had become quite sick, she'd noticed some of the leaves turning an odd colour and falling...it worried Lilith enough to want to keep checking on it, however she kept it secret from everyone. Would Ruby know though? How often did the captain venture out there by herself?

"She is so beautiful, like you." She said, "I wish I could try to talk to her, but I am not as connected to her as you are." She rubbed Lilith's arm.

Lilith took Ruby's rubbing her arm as a friendly gesture, nothing more. She smiled quite contently as they strode along the forest towards the tree. It was difficult, she couldn't move as easily as she used to be able to, bending over was out of the question to get past long shrub branches unless she wanted to fall over her feet.
It was frustrating, but at least she had Ruby around to help her.
Upon entering the grove where the Mother Tree sat Lilith's heart lifted. A strong wind blew and rattled the tree's great branches and sent every dry leaf attached to it spiralling almost razor-like towards both women. Lilith put her hand up to shield her eyes and once the leaves blew away, she approached the tree and rested the front of her body gently against it, her hand feeling it as though searching for a heartbeat.
"Don't argue with me," she spoke to it softly, "you'll see, everything will be for the better...just trust me."
She pulled away, taking a step back to look up at the Mother Tree. Where she gave it a content smile the air about it was certainly less than pleasant. She frowned.
"....Ruby, I can't keep denying it. She is not happy."

"What? How can anything not be happy in your presence, milady?" She asked as she looked at the massive tree. "What is the matter with her then?"

"She tells me I have always been a dear to her, and it hurts her to think that something bad will happen to me. She's certain of it..."
Lilith's eyes trailed away from the tree, meeting Ruby's and filling with concern.
"She's been like this ever since Trucido and I got together. She's gotten steadily worse, but won't tell me anything much. It's almost as if she's treating Trucido as a curse and it worries me," she spoke sombrely, looking back up at the Mother Tree, "I don't tell many people about this because I'm afraid of what kind of image it'd make of me to my people but even my words to her don't seem to soothe her. I tell her everything will be alright and at times it's like she's cowering...it's very disheartening."

"Oh, that is awful, milady. I know Trucido is a good man, and wouldn't do anything to harm you or her." She said as she continued to rub the queen's arm.
