"Well, let me see." Tempest held his arm up, finger pointing at the incoming cloud. ZZT! A tiny bolt of lightning shot at the finger. "Ummm... sorry to say, but it is." He thought for a minute. "If you want, I could give you a lift to the nearest village so you could get shelter."

Caramel bit her lip and her ears lowered. "Uh....yeah...Thanks." She said quietly. This was not turning into a good day.

Tempest gave her a smile. "Don't worry, I won't take us close to the storm. I need to summon a cloud now, just a second." He raised his hands and twirled a finger. A spec from the now gathering clouds started moving. The dot started lowering faster, until it was the size of a small raft. "Alright, since you're a passenger, I need to condense the air inside the cloud so you can ride atop." Tempest balled his fists, and the cloud suddenly folded onto itself. "There we go, I've never had a passenger on a cloud, so I've technically never done that."

She blinked, watching the clouds transform. She climbed up once he was done, seeming impressed. "You know... I've ridden dragons, Unicorns, Centaurs, and even a Werewolf, but I've never ridden a cloud before." This was a very different experience for her, and she almost forgot about the thunderstorm for the moment.

"Really?" Tempest climbed up. "What does a dragon look like? You don't see much here anymore." He sat down and the cloud started rising. "The only area dragons seem to be is Ingis, and I haven't been there yet." He looked around. "I don't see a village yet. I know where the capitol of the kingdom is, thought. I can drop you off there, and it's away from the thunderstorm."

"It depends what species of dragon we're talking about." She said. "There are so many different species of dragon, and they all have distinctive features." She said. "I mean, they're all large, and scaley with claws.... but some have wings. Some Don't. Some have horns, some breath fire, and they're all different colors." She explained. "Thanks so much for all your help, Tempest." She said, smiling. "Wait until I tell Kaku I met a human!"

"Don't menton it, I could never leave someone out here." Tempest glided the cloud up high enough that he could watch for the capitol, but not high enough that the air would get too thin. He was fine with the thin air, but he didn't know about his passenger.

Caramel hadn't a clue what to look for, so she began to amuse herself by collecting condensation from around. After all, clouds were mainly composed of water. By saying a quick chant, and making various hand motions, the little cloud she had collected, formed different shapes according to her will.

She pondered at this question. "Well.... There are no humans there." She answered. "It's a medieval kind of setting, with 6 kingdoms. It's a world similar to yours, except that Everyone is I guess what you'd call odd looking creatures." She continued. "My world revolves around magic as well....but even so, there are still a lot of things I haven't seen." By this, she was referring to his lightening abilities.

"Cool. In this world, we have separate sorts of magic, unless your a magician, of course." Tempest thought for a minute. "I only know of 11 types of magic: Dark, Light, Water, Ice, Plant, Rock, Fire, Spirits and dead, Wind, Moon and Lightning. I have no idea if Crepusculum or Chalybs have any magic." Tempest stretched and continued. "And I have no idea what Vuoto used to be, it was wiped out by somebody. As for me, I have both wind and lightning magic." Tempest always boasted about his magic background when he had the chance. What was the chance that two warring people could have a child among them?

"Thats very interesting." She said. "So, do most people only have one kind of magic?" She asked.
"In my world, one's magical abilities are dependant on a few different things. Energy, Education, and Genetics. Common or easier spells just require a chant and the correct hand motions. Advanced spells require extensive studying, concentration, and energy." She explained. "If you don't have access to spellbooks or teachers, your magic is very limited."
She went on, "And then there are the rare magical abilities that only certain people possess.... Such as mind reading." She said. "There are very few who possess that ability.....I don't think I'm one of them." She grinned. "But my cousin is.."

"Hey, I know someone that can read someone's mind too." Tempest thought for a second on who that person could be, then remembered Zee. "His name is Zee, and he's a very powerful magician. The only drawback is that his family has a curse." He tried to remember what the curse was. "Um, he's always sleepy. When he uses magic he gets even sleepier." Then Tempest remembered her question. "I... don't know. I've only traveled around for a year or two now, maybe if they learn other types." He yawned and looked down from the cloud. "It's kinda weird, I don't have to say a spell to use my magic. I think that's only magicians. Of course, they have to learn it."

"Thats so sad...." She said, thinking of the curse. "I don't THINK my family is under a curse, though I could be wrong." She said. "I've only just reunited with them last year." She said.
"All of my kind are born with magical abilites, and basic spells such as zapping, creating portals and summoning objects can come naturally....but anything past that requires education." She explained. It had been so long since she'd had to remember how magic started, that she almost wasn't sure how to explain it.
"So, your abilities come naturally? You don't have to concentrate or anything?" She asked.

"Not for little things, like drawing small bolts of electricity." Zee brought his hand up. palm faced up. A tiny bolt of lightning danced across his palm. He remembered that Caramel didn't like lightning, so he closed his palm quickly. "But for bigger stuff, I have to concentrate.
