Lamuria's intake of breath, his gasp of amazement, was no girlish act, but a true reaction to wonder. "I'd heard of the quality of Santo-Lucian fine dining, but this is... amazing! Such an elegant place, well suited to such an occasion...!" He clung a little closer to his prize's arm as they were seated, oohing at the flowers - being, as he was, an Alberisatoan.

Alexander grinned.
"You really like your flowers, do you?" he refrained from getting touchy with Lamuria himself as, well, girls could get clingy all they wanted but it was better he remain more of a gentleman and take things slowly.
Alexander didn't even take a moment to look at the menu at all - he wouldn't eat much, just usual soup or salad. Holmes told him he was too thin but he didn't think so himself.
"You pick whatever you want, alright? I'll pay for everything."

Lamuria smiled, then glanced through the menu, pickign something that seemed lght, but flavorful, all the while glancing back up, covertly, at this man who could not rightly be called a man, but the essence of all that was beautiful, a flower among men, growing, making the world more beautiful for it's existence. He longed to reach across the table, to take the god's hand in his... he realized he'd never learned the god's name.
"This may seem silly... after we've already gone out and all, but, may I learn you name, handsome stranger?"

Oh yeah, he had been too busy earlier to get this...Miss Nerat's name that he hadn't actually given his...
And now that he thought about it, should he even drop the name? Maybe just the first, it didn't matter that much, did it? He wasn't recognized at first glance that as the king, what were the chances this person would instantly know at the drop of a common name?
"I...I'm sorry for that," Alexander tilted his head to the side and smiled politely, "I really am. My name is Alexander."

It sounded familiar... something nagged at Lamuria, but he couldn't concentrate, every nerve was screaming at him.
"Such a strong name," he said, reaching out to take... Alexander's... hand in his. "Alexander," he said, letting it roll from his tongue. A warrior's name, a wonderful name. ...Alexander... he wondered if this, truly, was what true love felt like, rather than a momentary dalliance... maybe... he didn't know. BUt he gazed into those beautiful blue eyes, and he didn't care.

Something about this was so, so strange but Alexander couldn't quite figure it out. His eyebrow raised and he let his hand be held by Lamuria, even at one point letting his fingers slowly wrap around the other man's slender ones.
"I thank you," he answered slowly, politely, "I had never thought it was a very strong-sounding name at all, but I don't know a lot about things like that."
He chuckled to himself. It was one of those things that if he'd sat and read a few books, he might have understood a little better.

"Of course it is... wasn't there once a famous hero named Alexander?"
Oh, gods, this was heaven, sitting here, holding the hand of the most beautiful man in the world, staring into his deep, sky-blue eyes...
Their fondling was interrupted by the arrival of their meals.

"It does sound very familiar. I sometimes get my tales mixed up but I believe there was an Alexander who sailed a ship through a mighty storm and survived--his crew was only too thankful for it," Alexander said, trying to recall some stories he may have heard in the years - he hadn't read a lot but he sure did remember...some things anyway.
His dinner was only the usual simple soup and a roll and he barely touched any of it before pushing it away. Tilting his head back to the side and cupping a cheek in his hand he turned his attention back fully to Lamuria on the other side of the table.
"So...uh...Lamuria, right? That's an interesting name; a nice one, though I've never heard it before..."

"I must admit, it is not common, though I thank you for your compliment." He smiled at Alexander. "It is the name of a rare flower that grows near my village; it is said in our legends to bring happiness and beauty to those who keep a sprig of it in their home, and can survive long periods of time without water or nourishment. A seemingly-dead twig, when planted, can spring back to growth within a week... my parents thought it a fitting name."

Alexander chuckled as he heard the story.
"If that's how you are like, I'd say that is fitting. I probably would agree with it bringing happiness and beauty to people who invite it into their home for sure," he kept a charming smile and played with the base of his wine glass, "it's a really strong plant is it? Would you agree that that says a lot about yourself?"

"I would; although whether it was because my mother had atouch of Sight, or whether the name brought me luck, I don't know." He smiled, sipping his wine, eyes watching Alexander over it's brim.

Alexander smiled, not paying any much more attention to the wine. He rather enjoyed watching Lamuria take a sweet sip from his her own glass gracefully.
"Perhaps a bit of both? Who really knows..." he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at a few people behind Lamuria, giving odd looks and some even snickering. For some reason they seemed to be attracting a little attention.

Lamuria shook his head, not even turning around. "Ignore them, Alexander. They've obviously never seen two people as perfect as we." He smiled, swishing the wine around in his glass with one elegant, graceful hand, staring deeply from half-lidded eyes into Alexander's own.
