"The only way the pain of my enemies can be soothing to me is that they are cut off but their own blood." Xïsa said "War is beautiful picture lots of red."

"Ahh, you are very artistic," Lana smiled, "sword is your brush, then?"
Speaking of blood, she remembered then that her hand was still dripping of it. She casually walked to the other side of the room and grabbed for a towel. Patting down the blood on her hand, she checked it over to see if the air it was exposed to helped clot the wound yet. She showed it and her bandaged arm to Xisa and said, "As you can see, these haven't been a good couple of days for me. I intend to change that, though. Somehow, anyway."
Funny thing that she'd never say, but when it came to talking to Xisa and Zelos, she had preferences depending on the topic. When it came down to business, she preferred Zelos; he said practically nothing, so you got to the point real quick and it was usually a real black and white point, and where most people would find his constant unnatural calmness creepy, Lana didn't--she figured that was more or less her lack of fear of death to begin with, however. Xisa was just good to talk to, and most times it confused her how she and him could even have conversations with each other as they almost seemingly hated each other's guts most of the time.
Just like this. It was nice. She wouldn't admit it, but she actually liked listening to his views on things sometimes.

"You can say that it is." Xïsa said " Now if you excuse me, I can not stand here and talk to such unworthy person that is in the Sumata army." He walked away and some other doctors walked in and saw the room

Of course, there were still many more reasons why Xisa was a jerk, and that was one of them. Lana narrowed her eyes at him as he turned and left and she growled, "Jerk--I'll show you who's unworthy." Maybe someday she'd fight to become part of the Sumata 13 and then she'd show him who the unworthy one was.
Of course, that was highly unplausible. She knew sadly well that she was practically destined to be nothing more than a little toy for people like Xisa and Zelos, and a fine shield when the time came for it, saving their lousy butts by sacrificing hers.
Wow, this job sucked. Whatever though, she couldn't get out of it even if she tried.
Why?
She just couldn't. They could kill her, that was probably why. But that didn't make sense because she wasn't scared to die.
Stop asking questions. Just stop.
"What on earth happened in here?!" a voice broke her thoughts and Lana turned to find three other doctors examining the room. One glared at her.
"Beats me. Get to work," Lana shrugged and kicked one of them out of her way as she walked out the door.
