'Are you serious? Even little kids know that trick...'
Where Lana was surprised with her colleague's lack of knowledge in something that was, what she and most others would perceive as, very simple, she couldn't help but laugh at him. But it was a good-hearted laugh, one not to make fun, one not to taunt, one that was genuinely amused and...happy.
"I don't know about 'unstoppable', but you at least know how to take care of it, now," she said as she raised an eyebrow at him then, "but a race? Where to? I'll race you to the top of the north tower in the castle, if you want. We can throw things from the window down at the training field for the army up there!"

"What?" Ludro yelled. He already started to run when he heard the words 'top of the north tower' "Eat my DUST!" then he vanished around the corner.

Lana blinked as she watched Ludro take off. Well, he certainly was feeling better than before, wasn't he? She narrowed her eyes and then bolted off down the hallway herself, taking a different turn in hopes of using one of the 'shortcut' staircases.
"You big JERK! I'll show you!!!" she shrieked as she ran. One of the servants of the castle got in the way and received a hefty kick to the head as Lana sped past.

"Hehehe" He laughed "Keep up!" He ran to a dead end in the hall, then he jumped against the wall and jumped up, grabbing a rope. He then pulled on the rope and it launched him 2 floors higher. "Want to give up?"

Lana skidded to a halt and grinned. "Nope," she said as she quickly whipped out her sword and flung it after Ludro, trying to slice the rope he hung onto.
Of course, if it worked it meant she'd have to be the one to break his fall...if he even fell, that was. She glowered, looking around for her own quick elevation-scheme. She shrugged, looking out of the nearest window and finding a sharp corner--she climbed out and wall-jumped a good chunk of it, climbing parts that were missing some bricks or mishapen in some way or another. She just had to get to the top window...

"There is no way you are going to win!" He said as he ran up the stairs. He started to fling his cards at her.

"Ack!"
Lana climbed higher yet, shifting herself from side to side trying to avoid the cards being flung at her by Ludro. One cut her across the cheek and she growled. 'Him and those damn cards...'
It was time to put her full upper body strength to work. Lana threw herself upwards yet, grabbing every brick and small opening in the wall that she could get her hands firmly on and pushed on harder and harder each time. Ludro had something like a system to how he did virtually everything, and it always seemed to help him win his little games. Lana's motivation was the goal of actually beating him at one of these games.
'Lady Luck' didn't seem to be on Lana's side, though. The next brick Lana grabbed ahold of slipped right out of the wall.
"Oh shi--!!!"
And Lana fell with it.

"Aw, Dammit" Ludro said as he launched a card to catch her, and Dropped her off at the bottom "Have fun, catching up!" he said. "Hahahaha"

Lana was quiet temporarily as the card caught her and brought her safely to the ground. She then snarled up at Ludro who was almost at the top of the tower.
"I didn't ask for your help!!!" she screamed, her voice echoing up and throughout the tower. She bolted up the stairs and once she was high enough she took a leap onto a hanging light fixture. From there, she climbed up the chain like she'd never climbed before.

"I know, but if you die then we would have to get a new captain and more than likely, the person would be a hard ass and try to straight me out." He said as he ran up the stairs.

"I....WHAT?!?!"
Lana climbed faster. "Captain Gamblington," she bellowed up at him, "I just thought I should take the time to tell you now that you have such lovely blue eyes...and how I think they'd stand out with a couple of black rings around them to match that bloodied nose of yours!!"
Hard ass? Straighten him out? She apparently didn't already? She'd show him!

"I can hear you trying to say something to me, But I can not tell what it is." He taunted to her "But come on, try to catch up, maybe you could win, but you can not beat me!" he ran up more stairs, and saw two guards "This is a direct order, slow Lana down."

Lana could have challenged a monkey, she climbed so fast. She also swung herself, quite expertly, back onto the spiraling staircase, feeling like she was high enough up that she could just barely catch up and possibly beat Ludro if she ran the rest of the way.
As she came up, the two guards saw her and immediately took their position, blocking Lana's course. She gave them the deadliest glare she could muster and brought her sword out.
"GET OUTTA MY WAY!" she yelled at them, not even bothering to slow down her run. She'd barrel into them if she had to.

The two guards trembled under the might of Lana's voice and they jumped out of the way. Ludro was looking down. "Cowards!!!" He yelled at them. He quickly return to the race, he ran and ran trying to keep away from Lana.

Lana let out a maniacal laugh as the two guards leaped out of her way. Nothing that a little threatening couldn't solve - as long as she didn't leave those threats empty, at least.
She stormed up the stairs, Ludro coming back into her sight. This was going to be so good, she didn't even care about winning anymore, she was just out to catch Ludro and clobber him a good one.
Because, you know, clobbering people was fun. It could be even better if she won the race, but her main objective now was to hunt her fellow captain down.
Which is why she didn't put away her sword.
