Ludro looked behind his back and saw Lana catching up, WITH HER SWORD OUT!! "WHY?" Ludro said as he pulled out his Kusarigamas, and launched one at her.

Lana's laughter got louder. "What do you mean why?! How about why not??"
Really? She wasn't out to "hurt" the guy, she just wanted to expend her energy a little...by using him as a convenient punching bag...in his face...
She was thrown a little off-guard by the flinging Kusarigama, though. "What the bloody fu--!?!?"
Lana leaped out of the way, nearly falling off of the stairs as she did so. It took her a moment to regain her balance and keep moving, and by then Ludro had gained a bit of distance. She glared.
"YOU JERK!!" her long legs took the steps two at a time. Come hell or high water, she was going to catch up to him!

"HAHAHAHHAHA" He laughed as he got closer to the top. "I can taste the air of victory... needs some pepper, but that is about it."

"HIIIYAAAAHH!!!!"
Lana's longsword flew over Ludro's head, smashing into the ceiling ahead, which sent a large stone block falling in front of them. Lana then leaped onto Ludro, knocking him harshly to the floor, both of them rolling in some kind of tangled mess of each other.
"No way!!! No way, I'm beating you this time!!" she shrieked as she tried crawling up the last few steps.

As Ludro stood up and saw that Lana was running to the top, he quickly tired to catch up to her. "So neck to neck here? It just got interseting" he said as he tried to caught up to her.

With that, Lana whirled around and kicked up at Ludro's head.

Ludro was hit in the face and his nose started to bleed again, but Ludro fixed it quickly and then caught up to Lana. "Thanks for that tip" He said "Now here is my trip to you!" Hr tripped her and ran quickly up the stairs.

There's no point in writing in dialogue at the moment, for there was nothing but curses upon layers of curses streaming from Lana's mouth as she hit the stairs and rolled backwards down them and into a wall.
"GAMBLINGTON!" Lana bellowed, shaking her head quickly, feeling it as she did so. Blood was smeared on her hand and it made her growl. Honestly, could she not do anything these days without losing any blood? She had enough to start her own bank...
Lana leaped back to her feet and took another run up the stairs, temporarily out of ideas for how to catch Ludro and what to do when she DID catch him. Besides punch him in the nose, anyway.

As Ludro ran up the stair, he realized that he was last flight of stairs. "I am going to win!!!" He laughed at her.

Oh great, now what was she going to do!? It turned out she truly had lost this one, after she had fought so hard this time...
Lana tripped a little on her own and fell into the wall. She cursed again and looked down...and got a lame idea. It wasn't much, but it appeared to be the only thing she had...
She pulled off one of her shoes and hucked it at Ludro's head as he climbed halfway up the final flight of stairs.

The shoe hit the back of Ludro's head, and it forced it into a wall. This forced the Captain into an Unconsciousness state. Apparently, his head is his heel.

Lana not only caught up, but ran right past Ludro. Ahaha, who knew that would have worked so wonderfully?
Funny thing, though, Ludro wasn't moving anymore. Lana was almost at the top when she stopped and looked back at the fallen captain, who was still slumped against the wall completely out cold. Her eyes widened slightly and she looked around suddenly to see if anyone had been watching.
"Uh...well...hey, Ludro. Get up!" she called at him. When he didn't respond, she frustratedly shook her head and groaned.
"Oh for the love of..." and Lana walked back down the stairs to grab Ludro, dragging him up the last few steps, "dammit, Ludro!"
She dropped him on the top step, looked back down the many flights of stairs, sighed, and then gave Ludro's side a kick.

'You weren't drinking, I hit you on the head while we were racing. It's a tie, I suppose,' was what she was going to say because really? It was quite right.
But instead of telling the truth, Lana had to flat out lie like a jerk.
"Yeah, we were drinking a bit. Had a race," she grinned as she looked down at him, "and I won."

"Really? wow, well Congrats. Now, are the soldiers training? I want to throw stuff at them!" He said to her as he got up and then stumbled a bit.
