She rolled her eyes. "Figures, people back home pay thousands to look younger than they are and all you have to do is drink blood. It just isn't fair." Her voice held joking sarcasm as she took another bite of meat.

In Elexa's society, fifty was old for a human. Some lived longer, sure, but seventy years? It was amazing...

"In some ways it is. There are people working to find cures for diseases and keep people alive longer... But there's also a bad side to it. The technology is being used for the wrong reasons. People are using it for their own personal gains or, in some cases, genocide. Technology is definately a double-edged sword."
