Mark: Well sense you're under eighteen you can only have water and milk, and sense I don't drink I'll just have tea. *He had a pathetic smile, in which was followed by his stomach growling.* A hamburger would be nice too.

She order two hamburgers a water and some tea. "You don't drink? Any particular reason other than the fact that getting drunk is incredibly stupid and you always regret it?"

*Mark sipped his tea and put it down.*
Mark:... yeah, when I was with the Santo-Luce army we had successfully taken a large village back from Nerezza. Most of my battalion got drunk and they paid the price. *He closed his eyes to recall the past.* 'Screamers' got to them.

She leaned forward, resting her elbows on the table. "'Screamers'? What are those?"

Mark: During the war Nerezza released creatures onto the land, no official name but everyone in Santo-Luce called them 'Screamers', it was given the name because no one ever saw those things face to face you couldn't even hear them, all that you could hear was their victims screaming. We once found a Nerezza soldier who was demented because his own battalion was attacked by the creatures they released, we couldn't get one word from him... all he kept saying was 'screams, so many screams'.

She blinked and looked down at the table, sipping a bit of her water. "That's terrible..."

I won't tell her what happened to the rest of their battalion...
Mark: Anyway, we found out that they're movement sensitive so when they would come into our camp we would remain still for hours. *He looked at his hamburger and shoved it in his mouth.* But once the war ended it was agreed that these creatures were to never be released onto the lands even in time of war.

She nodded silently and took a few bites of her burger. I'm glad I won't have to worry about those things... But something's upsetting Mark. I wonder if I should ask... Probably not.

*Mark seemed to stair at the table for a moment then shook his head as if coming out of a daze.*
Mark: Oh yeah... how did that woman know your name?

She shrugged. "I have no idea. I've never met her before, except for when I saw her in that dream."

Mark: She knows about you... which makes me wonder if the Sumata also know about you... *He put his hand to his chin.* But don't worry about it, next time she or any other Sumata show up I'll take them on.

"Why? I can take care of myself, didn't that little fight just prove that?"

Mark: Yes, it did. But even I can get rusty if I don't fight.

She shrugged and finished off her burger. "So, where to next? Any suggestions?"

*He finished his tea and got up.*
Mark: I don't know, I'd say rent a couple rooms sense it's getting late. But who knows, at this moment I'm more concerned about why people working for the Sumata entered Crepusculum...
