*The crowed made way for him in slight fear as Angelus traveled to the otherside of the room. He stopped an evil smile going across his face.*

"I did not want to wear it! I thought I had to, this year was different!" Lana folded her arms and growled. Her eyes widened incredulously then at the sound of Kouichi's voice.
She turned her attention to him, raising her eyebrow.
"Uh...hey. What are you doing here?" she asked him, surprisingly very quiet and not nearly as indignant as she was only seconds ago. She also spied Angelus as he made his way across the room - she would have to try to catch him later...

With a sigh Kara turned to the floor. "No, you meant no harm. Although you are quite right. It seems I'm all that is left of Ghiaccio's rulers. But I'm wondering who's seeing to my country now, someone mentioned to me that a person had been put in charge."

"I was invited," he said. "I guess you're here with your leader?"
His question was obvious, but he couldn't think of anything else to say. Maybe striking up a conversation with her was dumb, but he didn't really have anyone else to talk to, with Angelus acting all wierd.

Lady Elexa nodded. "With the supposed complete death of your family, another ruler was put on the throne."
The girl had asked. She almost felt sorry for the young princess, having to be told like this... almost. Still, her loyalty to the Sumata would not allow her to feel sorry for this young thing.

"Pssh, I'm here with my 'date'," Lana smirked as she motioned to Ludro, "we're watching over our queen to make sure she's safe."
She looked around, hoping no one 'semi-important' was eavesdropping on their conversation. How bad would this look for her to be conversing with him?
Then again, the royals were all chatting it up like they were old chums with the orange-headed freak and his chicks, so it might not be so bad.
"So uh...what, are you here with someone, too? Um...there are some girls here, you could probably pick up one if you didn't have a girlfriend already," she didn't know what a guy at his age would be out doing at a ball like this - did they think about girls at that age? Whatever. It was a conversation, he could take it or leave it.
