Name: Grey “The Crimson Rebel” Von Geldobranth
Player Name: C.J.
Age: 62
Description: A large, bulking man standing about 6’4, his age showing only through his aged face and grey beard and spiked hair. Though of considerable age, Grey’s body appears almost youthful and unmarred, something odd for a highly proclaimed and vigilant warrior. Commonly walks around with his upper body exposed, allowing people to see his Lunar Birthmark on the back of his right shoulder. I commonly seen wearing only black samurai-style pants; an intricate belt holding them up, heavy metal shoes, his large sword, sheathed in a low-slung holster behind his back, and a pair of pulsing red gantlets.
Occupation: Lunar Knight of Ignis/Blood Knight
Personality: Though raised as a Knight and taught to be a model example of chivalry and virtue, Grey comes across as a rough, overly curt and overtly intimidating or threatening, making him difficult to get along with in most cases. Living the life of a vagabond has caused Grey to develop a strong survivalist personality, but also become much more prone to violence to defend himself as opposed to trying to talk things over or reason them out. But Grey doesn’t hate people by any means, as his over arching goal is the freedom of people from what he calls, “the power of one,” referring to royals and other people in positions of power.
Equipment: A massive sword called “The Reapers Edge,” capable of absorbing blood directly into the blade for later use by Grey, and his Lunar Weapon, "Blood Moon," a pair of beastly gauntlets constantly emanate a pulsing red glow.
Magic:
Lunar Knight: When bathed in the light of the moon, Grey gains a bevy of abilities imparted unto him by his training as a Lunar Knight, most being passive abilities that bolster his natural attributes, but several being powerful strikes and techniques that he will seldom use.
Blood Knight: Having defected from his position as Lunar Knight and swearing off his abilities, except for when fighting against very specific opponents, Grey sought to learn a new method for combat and came to learn the almost extinct abilities of the Order of the Blood Knights. Using blood as his medium for magic, Grey draws unique sigils in the air using blood to cast a variety of offensive magic spells. On top of his ability to channel blood into magic, Grey also possess the baser ability to actively control all blood that he comes into contact with, and to absorb others blood to heal his wounds.
Combat: Grey fights in a vicious cycle, commonly charging head long into the fray, gaining various wounds as he as he assails his opponents with powerful blows and braod, sweeping strikes, and then, using his Blood Knight abilities, uses his own blood to attacks his enemies, maim them, and recover his wounds with their blood. Commonly prefers to fight close quarters, but will use his Blood Knight magic to attack enemies from a distance, and will only use his destructive Lunar Knight attacks against those he views that it is necessary against.
Flaw: Grey is a lone wolf by nature, causing him to be very difficult to deal with on a personal level, leading him to a life of loneliness, something, though he appears to be content with, he would like to change. On top of this, Grey’s goal leads him to be commonly loathed by the masses, and has had an incredibly high bounty placed upon his head, making it difficult for him to get around without getting into conflicts.
History: Having grown up in a Lords family in Ignis, Grey was raised in the same way any young boy in a rich-upperclass family was, being taught proper manners, the skills required by an upperclassman, and educated in the way of literature, mathematics and so on. But this life was unappealing to Grey, eventually causing him to secretly join the Ignisian Military at 16, managing to do so by telling his parents that he was going on a trip to “expand the knowledge he valued,” just not stating that that knowledge was the ways of the sword and combat.
Coming from a upperclass family didn’t stifle Grey proficiency as a fighter, as he quickly gained both skill and knowledge in the art of combat, but his upbringing did effect his ability to relate with the commoners that the army so commonly brought in, causing him to become a bit of a loner during his days of training. After several years though, Grey’s prowess as a warrior began to become well know throughout the land, eventually reaching the ears of his parents, who, upon hearing this, formally denounced him as a member of their family for his “barbaric and dishonest ways.”
With no friends or family, all Grey had was his drive to become a great warrior, which became the focus of his existence, causing him to cut through the ranks, eventually become referred to as a Hero, for his many knightly endeavors, tactical knowledge in battles, and chivalrous actions. Not letting it go to his head, Grey simply continued on his path to better himself, and, through a strange happenstance that occurred on a trip to Keltulunaknox, found his birth parents, whom had given him up at an early age, and learned of his true heritage as a Lunar Knight. Being bequeathed with his new title, new duties and new abilities to explore, Grey once again found himself busy, becoming accustomed with all that was new in his life as a warrior.
After many years of faithful service to Ignis, Grey slowly became a close and loyal subject of Onyx, such to the point that the two might be considered friends. Being as close as he was to the King, Grey was eventually placed as Onyx’s personal bodyguard, and as his own personal combat advisor and war strategist, eventually leading to a conversation between the two regarding Trucido’s offer, which Onyx was inclined to accept.
Arguing against Onyx, Grey eventually began claiming that Onyx, and all those who see themselves in power are flawed, and that those in power are corrupted in their decision and should not have the right to control the fates of so many people, Stating he would not help Onyx with his plan, be it for “good” or not, Grey disbanded himself from the all his positions within the Ignisian Military, and left claiming that he would come back and free, not only Ignis, but all of Allorum from the “power of one.”
Having been gone since Trucido’s creation of the Sumata, Grey has been training and has recently resurfaced into society where he’s slowly began to do well on his promise, taking out people in positions of power and freeing those under their rule, all the while gaining notoriety, and a steadily growing bounty.
