(Yeah so this was totally suppose to have been done like forever ago when we were still on the Sumata Arc, so I'm just going to put it here.)
It had been two week since the Sumata had lost their hold over the world of Allorum. Though Trucido was gone, whispered rumors could still be heard of the war continuing past his defeat. As Zeke had moved past the border of Crepusculum and through Santo Luce towards the capital city, it seemed to be all he heard about.
When, after what felt like an eternity, he arrived at the gates of Lux Lucis he smiled the way a child smiled when he came home from school for the weekend. Though tired and worn from his travels on foot Zeke raced with exuberance towards the castle.
The guards that watched the front gates looked on with confusion as they saw Zeke approach, one muttering to the other, "Didn't that guy used to have no arms?" Slowing down to the few that watched him Zeke gasped between breaths, "Is...King Alex...inside? I'd, I'd like to see him...if I could."
One of them nodded and retreated back into the entrance to retrieve the king while the others stayed and kept a still confused eye on the returning Hero.

((OH HO HO HO IT'S ABOUT TIME ;p ))
Alexander had been in the middle of procrastinating reading over a ton of paperwork when he was interrupted by the guard notifying him of Zeke's miraculous return. At first he stared confused at the man because really, it wasn't possible at all. He was supposed to go home to Earth and stay there, much to their dismay.
Nevertheless Alexander wasn't going to pass up the chance to get away from his study for a moment or two. He was lead towards the entrance hall and upon entering and seeing the only too familiar figure of his friend his eyes widened.
"No way!" his voice echoed loudly throughout the hall, much like everyone else he was entirely confused. Unless he was dreaming, though his dreams never usually entailed him working so that was out of the question.

"Alex!" Zeke shouted out with a pent up enthusiasm. Dashing past the guards Zeke made a bee line for his long missed friend. The excitement left him not even bothering to worry about etiquette or anything like that. With his arms outstretched he practically pounced at Alex, grabbing him tightly in a hug.
Regardless of how Alex reacted Zeke couldn't help but enjoy the moment. He had almost forgotten the way it felt to hold someone. It was...comforting. It felt like home.

Alexander's expression was a very brightened one, a big grin held on his face as he started a little jog of his own towards his friend which only took him down a remaining flight of stairs in the room before he stopped in his tracks; seeing Zeke practically charge at him made Alexander freeze like a baby deer caught in the headlights and he cried out in both excitement and fear as the other man seemed to collide into him for a hug.
Noting that Zeke didn't knock him down the stairs, Alexander quickly threw his arms around him too.
"How?!" he asked through small fits of laughter, "how are you here?!"

His heart warmed as he felt Alex's arms wrap around him and he enjoyed the moment with his eyes closed. "I...don't really know how. I remember fighting against Trucido, and after I had struck him I felt a weakness in me before I blacked out. Then, I woke up in the fields of Crepusculum. I woke up with these." He smiled as he gave Alex a small squeeze with the very 'these' he was talking about. He opened his eyes to look at him.
"I just knew I had to be back. I had to see my best friend." The watching eyes of the guards not too far away drew his attention and Zeke was able to pull himself out of the moment long enough to realize how odd this looked. "Umm, I suppose we should go somewhere a little more private to catch up hmm?" He let go of Alex and shrugged slightly with after his 'hmm'.

Alexander could almost squeal with happiness, everything right now just seemed so...perfect for some reason. He was avoiding work, Trucido was gone, Zeke was alive and even better was that he didn't end up having to go back to Earth. Well, unless he changed his mind and wanted to now that was.
"I'm quite honoured that you'd be so determined to come back. You know, besides ecstatic," Alexander said, nodding as Zeke then suggested they take off alone, "let's do just that. Holmes can bring us tea or something, right Holmes!? Also you'll need to cancel that thing I was supposed to do this evening, I can't remember what it was." He rested a hand on Zeke's shoulder and guided him along up the stairs, walking right past the incredulous look the older advisor gave them on his way down.
"Your highness, that meeting...he'll be...you can't just--you're doing exactly as you please anyway, aren't you," Holmes huffed, knowing there was no point in asking questions. This would be something he'd have to smooth over again and bring up later. He shook his head and sighed as he looked up and watched as Alexander pulled Zeke away happily.
"You've no clue just what things have been like. Watching over my barrier on the country during the battle was bad enough, I even had it up yet nearly a week after the fight. Santo-Luce partied hard when we heard of the victory but it was hard to be happy and carefree when I was worried about you and if you got home safely," Alexander spoke as he headed towards his favourite 'this is the place I go to to look like I'm busy', otherwise known as his private study, "it's good that you're here. It's not really common for someone close to me to come back after I've lost them, afterall. Almost like the gods were listening and really paying attention this time."
With a sheepish grin he quickly added, "This is assuming you were wanting to stay, that is."
