CR High Vote

Hey!

If you didn't already know, a member of this site is busily writing an ongoing comedic series that takes place in an alternate universe where the charaaceters of CR are students and teachers at a high school.

The story is hilarious, consisting (currently) of six chapters, with a seventh in the works, three of which have been posted online as of today.

Now, because of the large-scale and ongoing nature of this work, I think Volk should make a sub-board specifically devoted to CR High within the chat board. The official chapters would be stickied, and those who wanted to discuss upcoming events could create threads and chat about the series if they so chose.

And, of course, Faey, the author, would be board moderator.

Hmm...I vote No, and here's why.

1. We have two sections divided for stories, "Stories" and "Omake". Two very good sections already made for stories such as these, I see no reason to make a third for a set series.

2. Large scale? Three chapters and a few comments don't exactly count as 'large scale'. Then again in some cases neither does a 35 chapter story....ahem, anyway, if three chapters and some odd views make this worth of a sub board? Then why not a Sumata Radio? Or a Footfalls of Fate? Or even of Roxa's stories of his character's origins? If you ask me, wait until Faey gets her 7th up and then see how the series is going before anyone start requesting a sub board for the series.

My reasons for voting against have nothing to do with story content, but more of story reception. In my opinion, wait a few more chapters, see how popular things are, THEN request a board like this.

I say no because there's no real good reason for it to have its own board .__.; it's a story, plain and simple (despite the multiple chapters), and belongs in the story board which you are already the moderator of.

I'm with Mike and Jess on this. We have a perfectly fine board for written short stories and I don't think that we need any more. I suppose if CR High became a sort of phenomenon within the site with a bunch of people doing their own spin offs and art and related material for it then I would possibly change my mind, but as it stands mere quantity by one author is not enough to grant it its own board.

Alright. I'll respect you guys' opinions. Just wanted to see where everyone stands on this, because I had a cool idea, but since most people don't like it, whatever, I'm cool with it.
